Friends please meet for service at Willington Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 25 at 1.15 p.m. Interment to follow. Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to Multiple Sclerosis may be left in Church.

ROBSON - April 16, of Chilton. Elizabeth (Betty), aged 88 years, beloved wife of the late Billy, a dearly loved mam of Colin and Patricia, a loving mother-in-law of Ian and the late Ann, a much loved nana of Shaun and Charlotte and great-nana of Alistair and Katie and a dear sister of Elsie. Would friends please meet in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Chilton, Monday for a Requiem Mass at 1.00 p.m., followed by interment in Chilton Cemetery. R.I.P.

RUTHERFORD - April 17, (peacefully), of Beech Road, Sherburn Village. (Formerly of Post Office House, Twizzell Lane, West Pelton). Craig, aged 55 years. Beloved brother of Lesley and Nigel, a sadly missed brother-in-law of Keith, also a treasured uncle and great-uncle. Would friends please meet for service and cremation at Birtley Crematorium on Tuesday April 24, at 12.00 noon.

RUTHERFORD - Neil On April 14, peacefully in hospital, after a short illness. Neil Rutherford, aged 75 years, of North Stainley, Ripon, beloved husband of the late Audrey, a much loved father of Anthony and Chris, a loving father-in-law and grandad, dear brother of Maggie. The Memorial Service will take place at St. Mary's Church, North Stainley on Friday, April 27 at 12.00 noon. Donations in memory may be given for the I.T.U. at James Cook University Hos-pital. Plate provided at the service.

SANDERSON - (Durham) Ernest, passed away on April 10. Thanksgiving Service will be held at All Saints' Church, Newton Hall, Durham on Thursday, April 19 at 10.15 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to St. Cuthbert's Hospice, Merryoaks, Durham.

SANDERSON - Mary Jane (Jenny), aged 82 years, of 26 Noels Court, Catterick Village, died peacefully at home on April 14. Loving wife of the late Tom, much loved mum of Valerie, Keith and Jayne, a dear mother-in-law, devoted nana and great-nana. Funeral service at St. Anne's Church, Catterick Village on Friday, April 20 at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the church. As Jenny wished the service to be a celebration of her life, at her request, please don't wear dark clothing. Family flowers only please, if desired, donations may be given on the plate provided in church for The Motor Neurone Disease Association.

SCOTT - April 17, of Broomside, Ferryhill. Ted, aged 72 years, dearly loved husband of Eleanor and a dear dad of Peter and Kevin, also a much loved granda and great-granda and a dear brother and father-in-law. Cortege leaving residence at 9.00 a.m. on Wednesday April 25 for a service and committal at Durham Crematorium 9.30 a.m.

SHEPHERD - John (Jack) On April 17, peacefully in Hundens Park Care Home. John, aged 84 years, of Darlington, loving husband of Grace, much loved father, grandad and great-grandad. Funeral Friday, April 27. Would friends please meet for service at Darlington Crematorium at 10.15 a.m., prior to cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to St. Teresa's Hospice, The Woodlands, 91 Woodland Road, Darlington DL3 7UA.

SHERWIN - April 11, of Thornton le Street, Thirsk, after a long illness. Jane, wife of the late Captain Malcolm Sherwin, mother of Rachel and daughter of Jim and the late Moira Briggs. Funeral Friday, April 20. Service for family and friends at Darlington Crematorium at 11.15 a.m. Family flowers only by request, but donations if desired may be sent for the Multiple Sclerosis Society c/o Seaton Leng and Son Ltd., Bondgate, Darlington DL3 7JR.

STANNARD - April 13. June (nee Ellsworth), aged 70 years, of Shildon, beloved wife of the late Stan, devoted mam of Susan, Pauline, Mandy and Alison, a dear mother-in-law, much loved and loving nana and great-nana. Cortege to leave her daughter's residence at 9.10 a.m. on Thursday, April 19 for service in St. John's Church, Shildon at 9.20 a.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Will friends please meet at church.

STEVEN - Alexander (Steve), formerly of Hipswell, died peacefully at Alton, Hampshire on April 11, aged 96 years, a much loved dad and grandad, he will be greatly missed by daughter Anne, son-in-law Frank and granddaughters Helen and Louise.

TALLENTIRE - April 17, of Bishop Auckland. Vera (nee Barrett), aged 84 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Arthur, dearly loved mother of Joan and Susan, also a much loved mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Will friends please meet for service in St. Anne's Church at 11.00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, prior to cremation at Durham.

TARN - April 8, of Thurstan Grange, West Cornforth. Margaret Jane, (Jenny), aged 90 years. Beloved wife of the late George, loving mother of Malcolm, Peter and the late John, mother-in-law of Pat, grandmother of Ian and Denice, great-grandmother of Nathan and Elliejane, sister of Peggy and Millie. Friends please meet for service at Holy Trinity Church, West Cornforth on Monday April 23, at 12.45 p.m. followed by committal at Durham Crematorium. All welcome afterwards for refreshments at The Square Compass, West Cornforth.

TEASDALE - April 14. Arnold, aged 86 years, of Staindrop, loving husband of the late Ella, a very dear partner of Vera, loving father of Vera, father-in-law of David, grandfather of Brian and Melanie, Diane and Lee, a much loved great-grandfather and a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Tuesday April 24 at 1.15 p.m. Friends please meet at the Crematorium Chapel. Family flowers only please, donations if desired may be given at the Crematorium for the Macmillan Nurses.

Anthony (Tant), aged 86 years, loving husband of Maisie, much loved father and father-in-law of Anne and Geoff, devoted grandad of Paul, Amy and Mark. Joyce, aged 75 years, of Norton, much loved wife of Stan and loving mother of Michael and Rachael, dear mother-in-law of Caroline and Tony, also a loving nanna of Joshua and Jessica. Funeral service and cremation to take place in the Chapel of St. Bede, Teesside Crematorium on Tuesday April 24 at 11.30 a.m. Friends please meet at the Crematorium Chapel.

Edward, aged 80 years, of Shadforth, beloved husband of Mary, loving dad of Lynette and Mary, a dear father-in-law of Philip and Les, a proud grandad of Elizabeth, Kimberley and Jonathan, also a sadly missed brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Friends please meet for service at St. Cuthbert's Church, Shadforth on Thursday, April 19 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in Shadforth Cemetery.

Joan (nee Cruddace), aged 68 years, beloved wife of Harry, a dearly loved mam of Philip and Hilary, a loving mother-in-law of Melanie, a much loved grandma of Cale and a dear sister of Min, Hilda, Lil, Mary, Harry and the late Evelyn. Would friends please meet at Darlington Crematorium Thursday for a service and committal at 10.45 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired may be left in the collection plate at the Crematorium or given to the family for the "Northern Brain Waive Appeal".

Bea (nee Davy), aged 67 years, a loving wife of Brian, a dearly loved mam of Michael and Linda, devoted gran of Sam and Ellie, much loved mother-in-law of Steve and Jayne. Friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium Chapel on Monday, April 23 at 9.30 a.m., followed by cremation.

TYRRELL - April 8, (peacefully, in hospital), of Aykley Green, Durham. John, (Retired superintendent of Durham Con-stabulary), aged 71 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Deirdre, loving dad of Gavin and Julie, also a loving grandad, father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Friends please meet for service at St. Cuthbert's Church, North Road, Durham on Friday April 20, at 11.15 a.m. Cremation to follow and afterwards all welcome to Mount Oswald. Family flowers only. URWIN - April 6, 2007. Peacefully, at home. David, aged 67 years, of Woodburn, Hawes. Service to be held at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday, April 24 at 1.30 p.m., followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at Willington Methodist Church at 2.15 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to the National Children's Homes and Portland House may be left in church. All are welcome for refreshments afterwards at the Church Hall. Will be sadly missed on earth but rejoicing in Heaven.

WALKER - Bryan, in hospital on April 12, aged 61 years, dear dad of Daren, Adrian and Clair, father-in-law to Ian, grandad to Jason, Louise and Chloe and a loving brother and uncle.
