Josephine (nee Hope), dearly beloved wife of the late Alan, dearest mam of Lisa and Claire, also a much loved sister of Stan, Raymond, Marjorie, Brian and Ken, also of the late John, Derrick and Allan, a much loved sister-in-law, aunt and a dear friend to many. Cremation Wednesday, June 20 at Durham. Cortege leaving residence at 2.20 p.m. for a service in St. Catherine's Church, Crook at 2.30 p.m. Friends please meet at church. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, may be left with Josephine's daughter Lisa and will go to Ward 33, Darlington Memorial Hospital. Refreshments will be provided at St. Catherine's Church after the service.

HOWIESON - Darlington June 7, peacefully in hospital. Jim M.R.C.V.S., aged 81 years, dearly beloved husband of May, much loved dad of Ken, Doug and Kim and treasured grandpa of Laura, Katy and Helen. A private family funeral has taken place.

HUBBARD - (nee Young) On June 13 (peacefully at home, in Newton Aycliffe). Sylvia, aged 63 years, a beloved wife of Derrick, also a loving mam, nana, great-nana, sister and friend of many. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, June 19 at St. Clare's Church 12.15 p.m., prior to cremation at Darlington Crematorium. Friends please meet at Church. HUNTER - Nora I. Hunter (nee Hird), aged 87 years, mother of Glenys and Clive, passed away peacefully at home. Loved and missed by all the family. Service took place on Thursday, June 7 at Lancaster and Morecambe Crematorium.

JEFFRIES - June 11, peacefully at home, formerly of Shildon. Allan, dearly loved dad of Pauline, Katherine and Susan and a dearly loved father-in-law and granda.

JONES - On June 5, suddenly, of West Cornforth. Doreen (nee Cullum), aged 73 years, will be sadly missed by all her friends neighbours and carers. Funeral Friday, June 15. Would friends please meet at 9.45 a.m. for service in Holy Trinity Church, followed by cremation at Durham.

LAMBERT - On June 3 (in hospital). Gladys, aged 87 years, wife of the late Ronald, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral Friday, June 15. Would friends please meet 2.45 pm for service at Darlington Crema torium. Family flowers only.

LANE - Muriel (nee Grainger), aged 98 years, formerly of Station House, Scorton, died peacefully at Rosedale Nursing Home, Catterick Garrison on June 9. Beloved wife of the late James (Jimmy) and will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Monday, June 18 at 11.15 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel. Family flowers only please.

LEIGH - June 10, of Park Avenue Close, Crook. Richard Ernest, aged 48 years, a dearly loved father of Vicky, Michael, Kirsty, Rosina and Jade and a loving grandfather of Bethany. Friends please meet for service in St. Catherine's Church, Crook on Tuesday, June 19 at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment in Crook Cemetery.

LYONS - June 11, of Low Etherley, Bishop Auckland. Violet, aged 80 years, beloved wife of the late John, devoted mum of John, Tricia and the late Margaret, a dear mother-in-law, much loved and loving gran and great-gran, also a dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Will friends please meet for Requiem Mass in St. Wilfrid's R.C. Church, Bishop Auckland at 10.15 a.m. on Friday, June 15, followed by interment at Witton Park. R.I.P.

MASON - June 10, suddenly, of Bishop Auckland, formerly of St. Helens. Robert, aged 65 years, dearly loved husband of Barbara, loving father of Beverley and the late David, father-in-law of Shaun, a much loved grandad of Luke, also a dear brother and brother-in-law. Will friends please meet for service in St. Helen's Church at 10.00 a.m., on Monday, June 18, followed by interment in West Auckland Cemetery.

Ron, aged 58 years, devoted husband of Christine, a cherished son of Peggy and the late Roly, dearly loved dad of David, Sally and Michael, also a dear father-in-law of Amanda and a much loved brother of Rob, Margaret and Janet. Reunited with her beloved husband James, loved mum of Marion, Helen, Brian, Ian and Linda and a sadly missed nana and great-nana. Funeral service will be held at St. John The Baptist Parish Church, Kirby Wiske on Friday June 15, at 10.30 a.m. followed by interment.
