Will friends please meet for service in St. Helen's Church at 10.00 a.m. on Friday, September 28, followed by cremation at Durham

RICHARDSON - September 23, (in hospital), of Harle Street, Browney. Bon, aged 89 years. A much loved father, father-in-law, grandad and great-grandad. Service and cremation Durham Crematorium Saturday September 29, at 10.00 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium. No flowers by request.

RIDER - September 26, of Castle Bank Nursing Home, formerly of Crook. Margaret, aged 96 years, dearly beloved wife of the late William, dear mother of Kenneth and the late Barbara, also mother-in-law to Vera. Will friends please meet for service in St. Thomas' Church, Stanley at 11.00 a.m., on Tuesday, October 2, followed by interment in Crook Cemetery.

RITSON - September 24, of Shildon. Catherine Frances, aged 63 years. Dearly beloved wife of George, much loved mam of Dawn and Debra, mother-in-law of Dennis and David, nanna of Christopher, James and Emily, also a dear sister and aunty to many. Will friends please meet for service in Shildon Methodist Church at 12.15 p.m. on Friday September 28, followed by interment in Shildon Cemetery.

ROBINSON - September 23 peacefully, of Bishop Auckland, late of Shildon. Lawrence William, aged 100 years, beloved husband of the late Vinea, also a loving dad, grandad, great-grandad and great- great-grandad. Sadly missed by all

A loving husband of Catherine, a dearly loved dad of Dennis and Jane, Elizabeth and Les, a loving grandad of Esther, Shaun, Heather and Michelle. Will friends please meet for service in St. Lawrence Church, Carlton Miniott on Tuesday October 2, at 12.45 p.m. prior to cremation at Durham. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired for, The Friarage Hospital.

SALT - September 24, of West Auckland. Vera, (nee Luke), aged 82 years. Beloved mother of Vivian, Glenda and Kevin, also a dear mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 1.30 p.m. on Monday October 1.

SHEPHERD - (nee Roe) Jennie, aged 80 years, peacefully after a short illness on September 20, of Macmillan Road, Newton Aycliffe. Beloved wife of the late Bobby, dearly loved mam of Denise, Karen, Alison and Andrew, a dear mother-in-law, a loving grandma of Sarah and a dear sister of Norman. Funeral Thursday, September 27. Would friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium 1.45 p.m. Family flowers only please.

SHOTTON - September 15, (suddenly, in tragic circumstances). Wayne, aged 45 years, of Berkeley Road, Darlington. Beloved husband of Jane and much loved dad of Ian and Carl, a dear grandad to Carlie, a loving brother of Jayne and special uncle of Ellie. Wayne will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Friday September 28. Would friends please meet 11.00 a.m. for service at St. Cuthbert's Church, Darlington, prior to cremation at Darlington Crematorium.

Malcolm, aged 65 years, a beloved father of Mark and Heather, father-in-law of Sally and Graham and brother of Arnold, also a beloved grandad. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Friday, September 28 at 2.00 p.m. Afterwards all welcome to Witton Gilbert W.M.C.

SMART - September 27, of Coxhoe. Nora, aged 76 years. Beloved wife of the late Ramsay, much loved mam of Stephen, loving mother-in-law of Susan. Special thanks to Sheila who meant so much to Nora and helped a great deal during her illness. Friends please meet for service and committal at Durham Crematorium on Thursday October 4, at 12.00 noon. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if so desired to, Cancer Research or Marie Curie Nurses, plate provided at the crematorium.

SNOWDON - September 26, of Portland House, Willington, formerly of Caterhouse Road, Framwellgate Moor, Durham. Edith Elaine, aged 79 years, dearly loved wife of the late Edward (Ted), a much loved sister of Valerie, sister-in-law to Tom, Jimmy and Mary and a dear aunty. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium on Wednesday, October 3 at 11.00 a.m. All are invited for refreshment afterwards at the Mount Oswald Manor.

STABLER - Laura September 21, peacefully in hospital. Laura (nee Dowson), aged 86 years, of Stockton (formerly of Shildon), a devoted wife of Norman, dearly loved mam of Colin, Jim, Margaret, Alan and Elizabeth, also a loving mother-in-law, nan and great-nan. Funeral service and cremation to take place in the Chapel of St. Hilda, Teesside Crematorium on Friday, September 28 at 1.15 p.m. Friends please meet at the Crematorium Chapel.

STACEY - Newton Hall September 24, suddenly yet peacefully, in hos-pital. Jeff, aged 83 years, beloved husband of the late Rita, loving partner of Lillian, devoted dad of Martin, Rose and Val, a much loved grandad to Marc and Josh. Will be sadly missed by all his family and many friends. Friends please meet for service at All Saints' Church, Newton Hall on Tuesday, October 2 at 12.30 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. By request, family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be made to All Saints' Church, Newton Hall.

STELLING - Jean, aged 76 years. Died peacefully at home in Morton-On-Swale, on Monday September 24, 2007. A loving wife of Bert, a loving mother of Peter and Michael and mother-in-law of Sheila and Christine, grandma of Laura, Christopher, Andrew and Rachael. Funeral service to be held at St. Helen's Parish Church, Ainderby Steeple on Tuesday October 2, at 1.30 p.m. followed by cremation.

STEPHENSON - September 27, of West Auckland. Lilian (Lily), aged 69 years, devoted mam of Paul and Rosina, dear mother-in-law to Tracy and Kevin, much loved and loving nana of Jonathon and Leah, dearest partner of Maurice, also a dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 10.30 a.m., on Wednesday, October 3.

STONES - September 23, of West Auckland. Ronald (Ronnie), aged 79 years, dearly beloved husband of the late Ruth, loving dad and grandad and a cherished friend of Jean. Will friends please meet for service in St. Helen's Church at 10.15 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, followed by interment in Evenwood Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to the Richardson Hospital, Barnard Castle.

TOWNS - September 25, peacefully in hospital, of Swallow Close, Esh Winning. Joyce, aged 78 years, a dearly loved wife of Gerard, a loving mother and will be sadly missed by all the family. Would friends please meet for Requiem Mass in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church on Tuesday, October 2 at 12.00 noon, followed by cremation at Durham. No flowers by request. Donations in lieu of flowers may be given after the service for the Alzheimers Society. Friends welcome for refreshments in the Parish Centre after wards. On whose soul sweet Jesus have mercy. R.I.P
