PETTY - October 1, peacefully at home with his family in Shildon, after a long battle with cancer, fought with great courage and dignity. Gordon, aged 61 years, devoted husband of Pam, loving dad of Mark, Jill and Richard, a treasured grandad, much loved son of Vi, a beloved brother to Val, Lyn, Denise and the late Anne, also a good friend of many. A celebration of his life will be held in St. John's Church, Shildon at 1.30 p.m. on Friday, October 5, followed by cremation at Durham. All welcome after the service for refreshment in Elm Road Club. Black clothing not essential. No flowers please.
