Dennis, of Hummersknott Avenue, Darlington, aged 84 years, devoted husband of the late Mavis (true lovers), dearly loved dad of Denise and Stephen, father-in-law of Terry and Lorraine and a much loved grandad of Nicola, Michael, Philip and Adam. Funeral Monday, December 18. Would friends please meet for service at Darlington Crematorium at 10.15 a.m. Floral tributes may be sent c/o Seaton Leng and Son Ltd., Bondgate, Darlington, DL3 7JR.


DAYSON - On December 8, in Belmont Grange Nursing Home and of Cambridgeshire Drive, Belmont. Ethel, aged 83 years, wife of Bob, mother of Diane and Barbara, also gran and great-gran. Funeral at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday, December 13 at 11.30 a.m. Family flowers only.


DOUGILL - December 10 (after a long illness). Sharon, aged 41 years, dearly loved daughter of Emma and Albert, a much loved sister of Tracy and sister-in-law of Steve, also a dearest auntie of Leanne and Stacy and great-auntie of Liam, a dear friend to Deborah. Cremation Monday, December 18 at Darlington following a service in the crematorium chapel at 9.45 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium. If desired, donations may be left at the crematorium for Children in Need.


FAULKNER - On December 7 (at Rosedale Nursing Home), of 3 Park Wynd, Richmond. Mollie, aged 85 years, dearly loved wife of Frank and very dear mother of Billie. Funeral service to be held at St. Mary's Church, Richmond on Thursday, December 14 at 10.30 a.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please, however donations in memory of Mollie, if so desired, may be given at the service for St. Mary's Church. Will friends please meet at the church and accept this intimation.


FENWICK - Ray, aged 66 years of Ravensworth, died peacefully at home on December 14, dearly loved husband of Maureen, much loved dad of Nigel, Becka and Nick and loving grandad of Gemma, James, Adam, Mae and William. Funeral service at St. Peter and St. Felix Church, Kirby Hill on Wednesday, December 20 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in the churchyard. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please, if desired donations may be given on the plate provided in the church for Cancer Research UK and church funds.


FERGUSON - December 12 (peace fully), in Eden Cottage Nursing Home. Joan, aged 89 years. Formerly of Gouldsmith Gardens, Darlington. Beloved wife of the late Joe, a dear mam to Brian and mother-in-law to Irene, grandma to Sharon, Richard and Tracy, also a great-grandma to Simon, Josh and Lewis. Funeral Tuesday December 19. Would friends please meet 3.15 p.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations if so desired to The Parkinson Disease Society.

Charles, aged 74 years, devoted husband of the late Mary, beloved dad of Karen, a sadly missed father-in-law of Derek, also a treasured grandad of Emma-Louise. Would friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday, December 20 at 12.00 noon. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers to St. Cuthbert's Hospice, plate provided at crematorium.

Lucy, aged 84 years, dearly beloved wife of Bill, dearest mother of Terry and Barbara, a dear mother-in-law of Malcolm, also a dear grandma and great-gran Flossie, a dear sister and sister-in-law. Cremation Thursday, December 21 at Darlington. Cortege leaving residence at 9.15 a.m., for a service in the Crematorium Chapel at 9.45 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers may be left with the family for The British Heart Foundation.

Sylvia Anne (nee Bird), aged 64 years, beloved wife of Malcolm, devoted mam of Janet, Shauna and Angela, dear mother-in-law to Paul, Peter and David, much loved and loving nan to Jonathon, also dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Will friends please meet for service in St. Paul's Church, Hunwick at 1.00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, followed by private cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may, if desired, be given c/o the family for the Weardale Community Hospital. All are welcome for refreshment in Hunwick W.M.C. after the service.

Phyllis (nee Welch), aged 86 years, dearly loved wife of the late Sonny, beloved and much loved mam of Ann-Marie, Christine and John, loving mother-in-law of Reinhard, Maurice and Barbara, adored gran of Paul and Joanne, Helen and CJ, Klaus, Michael, Jennifer and Adam, treasured great-gran of Gabrielle, Grace and Charlotte and wonderful friend of Doreen and George. Funeral Tuesday, December 19. Would friends kindly meet for service in St. John's Church, Shildon, 1.15 p.m., prior to cremation at Darlington Crematorium, 2.15 p.m. Family flowers only please. GRAY - December 10, of Bishop Auckland after illness borne with great courage and dignity. Margaret, nee Rowell, aged 70 years. Beloved wife of the late Alan, devoted mam of Malcolm, Stephen and Elaine, a dear mother-in-law and a much loved and loving nana. Will friends please meet for service in Bishop Auckland Methodist Church at 11.15 a.m. on Monday December 18 followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. Donations for The Macmillan Nurses may if so desired be left in church.


GREEN - Annfield Plain (late of Coronation Street, Darlington), in her 95th year, in Stoneleigh Care Home. Anna, dearly loved wife of the late Leonard of Durham Constabulary, dear mother of Isobel, son-in-law Ted and loved grandma, great-grandma and great-great grandma of all the family. Service and cremation has taken place.


GREY - December 7, suddenly at home, in Crook. Thomas (Tom), aged 87 years, devoted husband of the late Freda, a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle, also a much loved and good friend. Will friends please meet for service in St. Catherine's Church at 11.30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13, followed by interment in Crook Cemetery.


HAYWARD - December 10, of Ferryhill. Audrey (nee Beeton), aged 59 years. Beloved wife of David, dearly loved mother of Emma and a loving mother-in-law, sister-in-law and aunt. Would friends please meet in St. Luke's Church, Ferry hill Monday for a service at 1.45 p.m. followed by committal at Durham Crematorium.


HIBBERT - December 13, peacefully in Tenlands Nursing Home. Lilian (nee Dring), aged 86 years, re-united with her beloved husband Sid, a dear aunt and good friend to many, a special lady to Pearl and Barry. Friends please meet for service at Ferryhill Village Methodist Chapel on Friday, December 22 at 12.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if so desired, for the Butterwick Hospice, c/o Mrs. Pearl Wakes.


HOLMES - December 11, peacefully at Barrington Lodge Care Home, Bishop Auckland. Margaret aged 84 years, dearly loved wife of the late George and a dear mam of Allan, Paul and Graham, mother-in-law of Christine and Michelle, also much loved nanna of Thomas. Cortege leaving Barrington Lodge at 11.00 a.m. on Monday, December 18 for service at St. Andrew's Church, South Church at 11.15 a.m., followed by interment at Bishop Auckland Cemetery.
