Paul Stanley, aged 65 years, of Bedale (retired Butcher), dearly loved husband and soul mate of Mary, much loved dad of Andrew and Jayne and devoted grandpops of Hannah, Lucy and Evie. Funeral service to be held at St. Gregory's Church, Bedale on Wednesday, October 11 at 1.30 p.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, for St. Gregory's Church and I.T.U. at the Friarage Hospital.


MERRITT - October 2, peacefully with his family around him. John (Johnny), aged 69 years, of Linacre Way, Darlington. Dearest darling husband of Sheila, a much loved dad of Nigel, Sonya and Lee, a dear father-in-law of Kelley, Stephen, Kath, an adored grandad of Katie, John, Jordan, Niall and Oliver, also a much loved brother of Peter. Funeral Monday, October 9. Would friends please meet 11.15 a.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Air Ambulance.

Margaret (Maggie), aged 91 years, dearly loved wife of the late George, very dear mother of Tom, much loved mother-in-law of Annas, loving grandma of Hazel and Nick and Philip and Louise and dear great-grandma of Sophie, Ben, James and Katie. Funeral particulars later.

Robert Sydney (Syd), aged 89 years, devoted husband of the late Norah, beloved dad of Noreen and Allan, sadly missed father-in-law of Brian and Anne, a treasured grandad of Sarah, Stephen and Louise, also dearest great-grandad of Nathan and Ellie. Would friends please meet for service at Hesleden Methodist Church on Monday, October 9 at 10.30 a.m., prior to cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations to Cancer Research c/o Anne.


MUNDY - A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of David Mundy will take place in St. Mary's Church, Cockfield on Saturday October 21, 2006 at 12.00 noon. Will friends and neighbours please accept this invitation to attend the service. Refreshments will be served.

Leslie (Les), aged 70 years, beloved husband of Betty, loving father of Barbara, Kevin, Julie and Brian, brother of Dennis, also a much loved father-in-law, grandad and great-grandad.
