Vera (nee Gibbon), aged 93 years, beloved wife of the late Alex, devoted and dearly loved mother of Robert, dearest mother-in-law of Margaret, also a loving and cherished gran of Graeme and Andrew. Service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday, October 18 at 2.30 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to Mr. R. Bradford for Cancer Research.


BRADLEY - Richard Kenneth (known as Dick or Brad) on October 5, 2006. Private cremation. No flowers. Donations please at his request to the Chief Executive, Durham Wildlife Trust, Rainton Meadows, Chilton Moor, Houghton-le-Spring, Tyne and Wear, DH4 6PU.


BRASS - October 12, (suddenly, in hospital), of Ferryhill. Kenneth (Kenny), aged 73 years. Beloved husband of the late Maureen, loving dad of Linda, Ann, Christine and Sandra, a much loved father-in-law, granda and great-granda, also a sadly missed brother and brother-in-law. The funeral service will take place on Thursday October 19, 1.30 p.m. at The Baptist Church, Ferryhill, prior to a private interment. No dark clothing and family flowers only by request. Donations in lieu if so desired may be made to, The MARA Unit, Bishop Auckland Hospital, (plate at church).


BRENNAN - October 8, of North Bitchburn. Kathleen Mary Ann, beloved daughter of the late Agnes and Hugh, devoted sister of Hugh, Florence, Jean and the late Irene, also a dear sister-in-law, aunt and great-aunt. Will friends please meet for service in Howden-le-Wear Methodist Church at 12.30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, followed by private interment. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be left for Animal Charities and the Air Ambulance on the plates provided in church.

Emma (nee Durkin), aged 82 years, beloved wife of the late Thomas (Tommy), a dearly loved mam of Joan and Tony, a much loved grandma of John and Christopher and a very dear sister, sister-in-law and aunty. Would friends please meet in St. Charles R.C. Church, Tudhoe Village Friday for a Requiem Mass at 10.00 a.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium. Bus provided, leaving King William Court 9.40 a.m. No flowers by request. Donations in lieu, if desired, to 'British Heart Foundation', c/o Jack Fowler, 34 Northumberland Avenue, Bishop Auckland, DL14 6NP.


CARTER - October 7 (peacefully). Charles, aged 88 years, of North Park Care Home, (late of Caladonian Way, Darlington). A devoted husband of Gladys, will be sadly missed by all his loving family. Funeral Monday October 16. Would friends please meet 2.15 p.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium


CLIFFE - Sheila (nee Hunter), of Yarm Road, passed away peacefully at home on October 7. Loving mother of Shaun and Vincent, sister to Susan, mother-in-law to Carolyn, sister-in-law to Barry, also a loving grandmother. Would friends and family please meet for a church service at St. William's Church, Albert Hill on Thursday, October 12 at 11.00 a.m. Safe in the arms of Jesus.


COLLINSON - Peacefully in hospital on October 7, of Birch Place, Esh Winning. Robert (Bob), aged 83 years, dearly loved husband of Sheila, loving father of Beryl, Christine and Anthony, father-in-law of Dermot, George and Kath, devoted grandad of Joanne, Michelle, Marie-Claire, Nicola, Leanne and Adam and great-grandad to Alexandra. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs' Church on Thursday, October 12 at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment in Newhouse Cemetery. Donations, if desired, may be given after the service for Sunderland and Durham Renal Units. Friends welcome for refreshments in the Parish Centre afterwards. On whose soul sweet Jesus have mercy. R.I.P.


COOK - Joseph Suddenly, at home on October 6, 2006, aged 91 years. Loving husband of the late Martha Elizabeth Mary (Cis, nee Souter). A much loved uncle who will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, all relations and friends. Funeral service to take place in St. Peter and St. Paul's Parish Church, Stokesley on Monday October 16, at 2.00 p.m. Would friends kindly meet at church.


COOPER - October 6, peacefully after a long illness fought with great courage and dignity at St. Teresa's Hospice, Darlington (of Newton Aycliffe). Graeme (Coops), aged 41 years, beloved son of George and Gill, a loving brother of Clive, brother-in-law of Grace, dear uncle of David and Claire and great-uncle of Jackson and Ellie. Will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Friday, October 13. Would friends please meet for service 1.45 p.m. at St. Clare's Church, Newton Aycliffe, prior to private cremation. CULLEN - Peter A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, October 18 at 11.00 a.m. at St. Andrew's Church, South Church. Afterwards a celebration of his life at the Station Hotel, Bishop Auckland.

Church, Brandon on Tuesday, October 17 at 1.30 p.m., prior to interment Meadowfield Cemetery.
