LOWSON - Rex M.B.E., aged 75 years, of Lartington, Honorary Lay Canon Emeriti of Ripon Cathedral, died peacefully on October 16 at the Richardson Hospital after a short illness. A much loved and highly respected member of the community, remembered especially for his devotion to the church and the care of the terminally ill. To be received into St. Cuthbert's Church, Cotherstone on Monday, October 23 at 4.00 p.m. Funeral service at St. Romald's Church, Romaldkirk on Tuesday, October 24 at 12.00 noon, followed by private cremation.
