Friends please meet for service in St. Catherine's Church on Thursday February 23, at 11.00 a.m. followed by interment in Ushaw Moor Cemetery. Friends welcome for refreshments at New Brancepeth Club afterwards.


BROWN - February 21, peacefully, in Bishop Auckland General Hospital (formerly of Coundon, Bishop Auckland). Thomas, aged 101 years, a much loved husband of the late Ellen, a dear brother-in-law to the late Jennie and a devoted uncle to Ann, Jane, Stacey, Emma and Joanne. Service in Durham Crematorium on Tuesday, February 28 at 10.00 a.m. Forever in our hearts


BROWN - Joan (nee Clark) February 20 (peacefully, in hospital), of Amble View, Norton, Stockton. Joan, aged 66 years, dearly loved wife of Frank, much loved mam of Debbie and David, dear mother-in-law of Dave, devoted nana of Christopher and Natalie, beloved sister of Beryl and Alan, dearest sister-in-law of Peter and Ann and a dear aunt. Funeral Friday, February 24. Friends please meet for service in St. Bede's Chapel, Teesside Crematorium at 2.30 p.m. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired for Macmillan Palliative Care Nurses, Room G65, University Hospital of North Tees, Hardwick, Stockton.


BUCKLE - February 21, peacefully, in the Friarage Hospital. William, aged 88 years, of Snape, Bedale. Uncle of Valerie and Yvette. Funeral details later.


BYRON - (Hexham) February 19, 2006, peacefully in hospital with all his family around him. Roger Albert, aged 62 years, much loved husband of Maureen, dear father of Bryony, Ilona, Zoe and Andrew, loved grandpa of Charlie. Service to take place at Hexham Abbey on Friday, February 24 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment at Hexham Cemetery.


CHALDER - Peter May 18, 1944 - February 15, 2006 Dearly beloved son of the late Mark and Constance and sister of the late Margaret. Special brother of Jean, Betty, Mark and Gladys. A special brother-in-law of Eric, George, Violet and Tony. A loving uncle and great uncle and friend to many. Will never be forgotten R.I.P.


CHARLTON - February 15 (suddenly, in hospital), of North Cowton. Audrey, aged 83 years, a dearly loved mother of Jilly and Susie, grandmother to Nik and Mandy and great-grandmother of Java and Moses. Service at St. Luke's Church, North Cowton at 12.15 p.m. on Monday, February 27, followed by cremation at Darlington West Cemetery. No flowers. Donations, if desired, to Emphysema Charity.


CLARK - February 20, after a long illness bravely borne. George, of Trimdon Village, dearly loved husband of Norma, loving dad to Elaine, Peter and Jeff, father-in-law, step-dad and a loving grandad. Funeral service to take place at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Trimdon Village on Monday, February 27 at 1.30 p.m. prior to cremation at Durham Crematorium at 2.30 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to Cancer Research U.K. Friends please meet at Church.


DAVIS - Charles William (Bill) February 19, in hospital. Bill, aged 60 years, of Guisborough (formerly of Wingate and a former Employee of British Steel). Bill was a lifelong Sunderland Fan, beloved husband of Molly, loving dad of Steven and Paul, also soon to be father-in-law of Sarah. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 28 at 2.00 p.m. in St. Nicholas' Church, Guisborough, prior to committal and cremation in the Chapel of St. Bede, Teesside Crematorium at 3.00 p.m. Will friends please meet at Church. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, can be sent to Cancer Research U.K. All enquiries to the Co-operative Funeral Service, Park Lane, Guisborough. DAWSON - Alan, formerly of Kim-blesworth, brother of Ada and the late Peggy and Arthur. Cremation took place at Birmingham on February 20.


DAWSON - Duncan February 16 (peacefully, in hospital), of Gatehouse Farm, Ireshope-burn. Terence Duncan Harrison, aged 82 years, dearly beloved husband of the late Edna, devoted father of Brenda, June and Richard and a dear father-in-law, also a much loved and loving granda. Interment Wednesday, March 1 in St. Peter's Churchyard, Spartylea, following a service in High House Chapel, Ireshopeburn at 10.30 am. Friends please meet at Chapel. Floral tributes would be appreciated but if so desired donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Weardale Community Hospital.


DENBOW - February 18, of Staindrop. John Robert (Bob), aged 85 years, beloved father of Christine Patton and the late Alan, a much loved and loving grandad who is well respected by future son-in-law Dave. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Will family and friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium at 11.45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu for the Diabetic Society may be left with the family or at the crematorium.


DOBSON - February 23 (peacefully in hospital), of Spennymoor. George Foster (D.L.I.), aged 91 years, beloved husband of Grace, dearly loved dad of Sylvia, Kathleen, Alan and George, loving father-in-law, a much loved grandad and great-grandad and a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium Wednesday for a service and committal at 10.00 a.m., then afterwards at the Combined Services Club. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, may be left in the collection plate at the crematorium for the 'D.L.I. Museum'. Will be sadly missed by all. Goodnight and God Bless.

Beloved wife of the late Johnny, a dearly loved mam of Jackie, Audrey and Tom, a loving mother-in-law of Brian, Norma and the late Janet, a much loved nana and great-nana and a dear friend of Ruby. Would friends please meet in Bowburn Methodist Church, Thursday for a service at 9.30 a.m. followed by committal at Durham Crematorium.


DUNN - Ada (nee Smith) of Chilton. On Monday February 20, (peacefully, in hospital). Most dearly loved wife of Russell and devoted mother of Russell (junior) and Deborah, much loved by Dennis and Tracey. Cortege leaving residence 11.50 a.m. on Monday February 27 for service in St. Aidan's Church at 12.00 noon followed by interment at Chilton Cemetery. Friends please meet at church, all welcome.


EATON - Michelle (nee Hoare) On February 19, 2006. Suddenly, Michelle aged 33 years, formerly of Morton-On-Swale. Beloved mummy of Abbie, much loved daughter of Margaret and Arthur and very special sister of Tracy and sister-in-law of Kingsley. Funeral service and committal to be held at St. Helen's Church, Ainderby Steeple on Wednesday March 1, at 11.15 a.m. Immediate family flowers only please. Donations in lieu can be given to The Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Special Care Baby Unit of The Friarage hospital, plate provided at the service.


EDE - February 15 (peacefully, in hospital), of St Margaret's Nursing Home, late of Tate Avenue, Kelloe. Winnie (nee Webb), aged 90 years, dearly loved wife of the late Walter and a loving mam, grandma and great-grandma. Friends please meet for service at St. Helen's Church, Kelloe on Tuesday, February 21 at 2.45 p.m. Cremation to follow and afterwards all welcome to Mount Oswald Golf Club. Family flowers only.
