Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday at 3.30 pm. for a service and committal.


ROBINSON - April 5. Pastor Leslie, aged 90 years, Minister of Assembly of God, Willington. Thanksgiving Service will be held at Lydia Street Methodist Church, Willington on Wednesday, April 12 at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment in Willington Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to British Diabetic Association


SALKELD - March 31, of Dene Hall Drive, Bishop Auckland. Jean, aged 81 years, beloved wife of the late Edward Henry (Ted), a dear sister-in-law and aunt and a dear friend. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Thursday, April 6 at 10.00 a.m. No flowers by request. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to the British Heart Foundation. Plate provided at the Crematorium.


SAXBY - March 28 (peacefully, in hospital, after an illness bravely borne), of Burns Street, Wheatley Hill. Margaret, aged 64 years. Devoted wife of Walter, beloved mam of Heather and Julie, a sadly missed mother-in-law of Neil, also a treasured nanna to Niall, Zoe and Lewis. Would friends please meet for service at All Saint's Church, Wheatley Hill on Thursday April 6, at 12.15 p.m. prior to cremation at Durham Crematorium. Refreshments afterwards at Scout Headquarters, Wheatley Hill.


SAYER - April 3 (peacefully), in Howlish Hall Nursing Home, (late of Wynyard Grove, Bishop Auckland). Patricia (nee Taylor), aged 63 years. Much loved wife of John, sadly missed by all. Friends please meet for service in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Coundon on Thursday April 13, at 11.45 a.m. followed by interment in Bishop Auckland Town Cemetery.


SIMPSON - April 3 (peacefully, in hospital), of Ferryhill. Keith, aged 73 years, beloved father of Julia, Deborah, Jillian, also a dear grandad of Michael, Andrew, Lindsay, Lucy and Kim. Funeral Wednesday, April 5. Would friends please meet 11.30 a.m. for service at Durham Crematorium.


SMALES - April 6 (peacefully, in hospital), of Upper Church Street, Low Spennymoor. Mary (nee Crozier), aged 81 years. Devoted wife of Alec, a dearly loved mam of June, Sheila, Audrey and son-in-law Malcolm, a much loved gran and great-gran and a dear sister. Cortege leaving daughter's residence 57 Upper Church Street, Wednesday for a service and committal at Durham Crematorium 11.00 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium.


SMITH - March 30, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, of Esh Winning, formerly of Newton Hall and Palmstead Road, Pennywell. Gordon, aged 76 years, loving son of the late Meg and Joe, a much loved brother of Terry, Val and Dorian, uncle to Susan, Michael, Ian, Mark, Christine and Becky and great-uncle to Daniel and Jack. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass in St. Anne's Church, Pennywell on Thursday, April 6 at 11.00 a.m., prior to cremation at Sunderland Crematorium at 12.00 noon. STEWART - April 5 (peacefully, in hospital), of Acacia Street, Darlington. Raymond, aged 74 years, beloved son of the late Jane and Jessie, also a loving brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral Wednesday, April 12. Would friends please meet 11.45 a.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium.


TANNER - Dorothy (died suddenly after a long illness in hospital), on April 3, aged 67 years. Beloved mother of Maria and Susie, mother-in-law of Peter and Stuart and nana of Melissa, David, Reece and Jessica, also beloved sister and auntie. Requiem Mass at St. Joseph's R.C. Church Gilesgate on Tuesday April 11, at 10.00 a.m. followed by interment at Belmont Cemetery.


TODHUNTER - Francis James, aged 83 years, of Newbiggin, Richmond, formerly of Marske in Swaledale, died peacefully in hospital on April 6. Beloved son of the late James and Florence Todhunter and a dear uncle and great-uncle. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Thursday April 13 at 1.15 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel. Family flowers only please. If desired donations may be given on the plate provided at the Crematorium for Cystic Fibrosis Research.


TRENHOLM - Ina Grace (nee Brunskill formerly Alton) peace-fully, in hospital on April 3 of High Etherley. Ina, aged 94 years, dearest wife of the late Herbert and Harry, dearly loved mother of Joan and Arnold, mother-in-law of Stuart and Lorna, beloved grandma of Michael, Darren, Alison and Andrew, also a much loved great-grandma of Owen, Anna and Mackenzie. Service to take place at Etherley Methodist Chapel on Friday, April 7 at 12.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Will friends please meet at the Methodist Chapel.
