John, loving husband of Eileen, devoted dad of Ellouise and Eve, also a loved brother of Thomas and Family, David and family, loving son-in-law of Mabel and brother-in-law of Garry and family, a wonderful man who will be sadly missed by all his loving family and many friends. Friends please meet for service in The Parish Church, Chester-le- Street on Thursday June 15, at 9.45 a.m. followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium at 11.00 a.m. By request family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired may be sent to Chester-le-Street Primary Care Trust.


BLAIR - Newton Hall June 9, peacefully. Mary (nee Cairns), aged 81 years, loving wife of Billy, much loved mam of Brenda and the late Stephen, loved mother-in-law of Alan and Carole, devoted grandma of David and Melanie, Jonathan and Pardip and Andrew and great-grandma of Ryan, Nicole, Josh and Alyssa. Will be sadly missed by all her loving family and friends. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday June 14 at 3.00 p.m. By request, family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, may be sent to the Alzheimers Society.


BOND - June 14, of Middleham Walk, Spennymoor. Jean (nee Sayers), aged 53 years, a dearly loved wife of Richard, a loving mam of Helen, a much loved gran of Kieran and Hannah and a beloved daughter, daughter- in - law, sister, auntie and friend to many. Would friends please meet in Trinity Methodist Church, Rosa Street, Spennymoor Tuesday for a service at 12.40 p.m., followed by private committal at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired may be left in the collection plate at Church for family chosen charities. All are welcome afterwards at The Green Tree, Tudhoe Village for refreshments.


BOWATER - June 13 (unexpectedly), of Prospect View, West Rainton. Bob (known as Spanner), aged 71 years, a much missed dad of David, Stephen, Doris, Derek and Philip, greatly missed by his daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a dear brother of Ethel. Would friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday, June 20 at 3.30 p.m. Private after-wards.


BRADSHAW - June 9 (suddenly in Defoe Court Nursing Home). Raymond, aged 83 years, formerly of Chilton. A dearly loved husband of Marjorie, a loving dad of Malcolm and Paul and father-in-law of Anne, a special grandad of Chantelle, Emma, Lisa, Liam and Philip and great-grandad of Leon. Funeral to take place on Friday, June 16. Would family and friends please meet for service 9.30 a.m. at St. Aidan's Church, Chilton, prior to cremation at Durham Crematorium.


BROWN - (Heaton), formerly of Ushaw Moor. Peacefully on June 13, aged 88 years. Minnie (nee Lawson). Beloved wife of the late Ron and loving mam of Wendy and Phillip and devoted grandma to Phillip and Elizabeth and great-grandma to Geordie. Friends please meet at St. Luke's Church, Ushaw Moor on Wednesday June 21, at 2.15 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium at 3.00 p.m.


BROWN - Suddenly on June 14, at home, in Bishop Auckland. John, aged 75 years, a dearly loved uncle and great-uncle, also a brother. Cortege to leave his niece's residence in Toronto at 10.40 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21 for Requiem Mass in St. Wilfrid's R.C. Church, Bishop Auckland at 10.45 a.m, followed by cremation at Durham. Will friends please meet at church. Family flowers only. Donations may, if desired, be given for Church Funds.


BURTENSHAW - (nee Cloughton) June 11 (peacefully), of Green Lane, Spennymoor. Edith Annie (Edie), aged 80 years, beloved wife of the late Noel (Bert), dearly loved mam of James, Richard, Kenneth and Leslie. A loving mother-in-law and gran who will be sadly missed by all family and friends. Would family and friends please meet for service at St. Andrew's Church, Spennymoor on Friday, June 16 at 10.15 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham.


CHAPE - (nee Lawson) June 12 (peacefully, in hospital), of Newton Aycliffe. Rita Ann, aged 53 years, beloved wife of Vaughan, dearest mam of Martyn and Nicola and loving grandma of Natalie, also a treasured daughter of Edie and the late Pat and sister of Colin. A good friend to many, will be so sadly missed. Will friends please meet for service at St. Clare's Church on Tuesday, June 20 at 12.30 p.m., prior to cremation at Darlington Crematorium.


CHAPE - Rita, dearly loved sister-in-law and friend of Val and Colin, dearest auntie of Julie Ann and Lee. A beautiful person who will be sadly missed.


CLUDERAY - On June 10 (peacefully), of Hawes. Patricia, aged 82 years, dearly loved wife of the late Terry, very dear mum of Monica, Christopher, Veronica, Hilary, Angela, Martin, Simon and Charles. A Thanksgiving Service for Pat's life will be held at St. Margaret's Church, Hawes on Friday, June 16 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment at Hawes Cemetery. Family flowers only please, however, donations in memory of Pat, if so desired, may be given at the service for Christian Aid and the Arthritis Research Campaign. Will friends please meet at the church and accept this intimation.

FINLEY - Peter On May 21, 2006, as the result of an accident in the Lake District, formerly of Gilesgate, Durham. Peter, aged 55 years, dearly loved husband of Laura, a loving father of Ian and Stuart, dearly loved eldest son of Doreen Willson (formerly Finley), a much loved brother of Anthony, David and Richard. Peter achieved so many things in his life and will be remembered always with love and great pride by his family and all of his friends worldwide. Cremation at Sunderland, Monday, June 19. In God's keeping
