JOHNSTONE - Sylvia, died in Australia on June 16, 2006 a beautiful English rose, loving sister of Brenda, Brian and Bill.


JOSLIN - Brian, much loved husband of Audrey, father of Paul and Alistair and grandfather of Matthew, passed away very peacefully on June 19, 2006 at his home in Guilsborough. Funeral service will be held at Guilsborough Church on Monday, June 26 at 1.30 p.m.


KELLY - June 20 (peacefully, at home), of Beech Avenue, Spennymoor. Donald (Dolla), aged 81 years, beloved brother of Hughie and a dear brother-in-law and uncle. Would friends please meet in St. Charles' R.C. Church, Tudhoe Village Tuesday for a service at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment in Rock Road Cemetery.


KING - June 16 (suddenly), of West Rainton. Ivy, aged 87 years, devoted wife of the late Willie (Bill), a much loved mum of Duncan, Peter and Lesley, a dear mother-in-law of Malcolm, loving nana of Samuel, Francis, Freya and Rebecca. Would friends please meet at Durham City Baptist Church for service on Friday, June 23 at 2.00 p.m., followed by private interment. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to the Baptist Missionary Society and Hillside Animal Sanctuary.


LABRON - June 17 (after a long illness bravely borne), of Highland Gardens, Shildon. Joyce (nee Curry), aged 82 years, beloved wife of the late Bob, a dearly loved mother, nanna and great-nanna. Would friends please meet for service at Shildon Methodist Church on Friday, June 23 at 12.00 noon, followed by interment in Shildon Cemetery.


LEAFE - (nee Scott) On June 19, (suddenly, in hospital) of Darlington. Dorothy (Dot), aged 68 years. Beloved mother of Malcolm, Janet, David, Susan, Glenis and the late Stephen, also a loving nana, mother-in-law, sister, auntie and sister-in-law. Funeral service will take place on Monday June 26, 10.15 a.m. at Darlington Crematorium.


LEE - (Nettlesworth). Peacefully on June 16, aged 90 years. Carrie, much loved wife of the late Henry, loving mother, mother-in-law, grandma and great-grandma, a wonderful lady who will be sadly missed by all her loving family and many friends. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Thursday June 22, at 3.00 p.m.


LUKE - June 15, passed away peacefully, in Darlington Memorial Hospital, of St. Pauls Road, Trimdon Colliery. Mary (nee Worthy), aged 82 years. Beloved wife of the late George, mother of John, George, Mary and Christopher, mother-in-law of Ian, grandma of Sonya, Allyson, Matthew and Sarah and great-grandma of Tiffany Ebony. Cortege leaving residence Monday at 11.50 a.m. Friends please meet at St. Paul's Church for service at 12.00 noon followed by cremation at Durham.


LUMSDEN - (At home), of 57 High Riggs, Barnard Castle. The Reverend Frank Lumsden, a priest for fifty years, departed this life on June 15, aged 86 years. Husband of Eleanor, father of Eileen and the late Gillian and Andrew and a devoted grandfather of Richard. A service followed by cremation will take place at Darlington Crematorium on Wednesday June 28, at 11.45 a.m. following this a Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Frank will be held in St. Mary's Parish Church, Barnard Castle at 1.00 p.m. The family welcome all friends to either service. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired for, The British Heart Foundation are being accepted by John Wise Funeral Service, 16 Stainton Village, Barnard Castle. County Durham. DL12 8RB.


MANN - June 14, suddenly in hospital, of Yoredale Avenue, Darlington. Christine Elizabeth (nee Earl), aged 61 years, dearly loved wife of Brian, much loved mum of Trudy and Simon, dear mother-in-law of Colin, adored gran of Phoebe and a loving sister of Judith. Funeral Thursday, June 22. Friends please meet for service in All Saints' Church, Hurworth at 10.15 a.m., followed by cremation. Flowers may be sent c/o Seaton Leng and Son Ltd., Bondgate, Darlington, DL3 7JR.


MARSHALL - Bearpark June 15, tragically, as the result of an accident. Ryan, aged 9 years, very, very loved son of Anna and Vic, loving brother of Jordan and Mikey. Will be sadly missed by all family and friends. Friends please meet at St Joseph's R.C. Church, Ushaw Moor on Friday, June 23 at 2.30 p.m. for funeral service, prior to interment in the Church yard.


MARSHALL - June 14 (after a short illness), of Green Lane West, Sowerby, Thirsk. Michael, aged 76 years. Much loved father of David and grandfather of Willem. Will be sadly missed. The funeral service will be held at St. Hilda's Chapel, Teesside Crematorium on Friday June 23, at 1.15 p.m. Will friends please meet at the crematorium.


MATTHEWS - June 15 (suddenly at home), of Linden Close, Shildon. Barbara (formerly Mills), aged 64 years, dearly loved mother of Gary, Glen, Bonita, Graham and Paul, a dearest mother-in-law and nanna, also a dear sister. Interment Thursday, June 22 in Shildon Cemetery. Cortege leaving residence at 9.05 a.m. for a service in St. John's Church, Shildon at 9.15 a.m. Friends please meet at church.


MAUGHAN - June 22, after illness borne with great courage. Sandra Jean, aged 54 years, of West Auckland. Beloved wife of Terry, devoted mam of Alan, Susan, Terri-Marie, David and Michael, a dear mother-in-law, much loved and loving nana, also dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 3.00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28.


MAZINGHAM - On June 14, suddenly, of Potto. Edwin Frederick, dearly loved husband of Amy. Funeral service to be held in The Holy Cross Church, Swainby, 1.30 p.m., Thursday, June 22 followed by cremation. No flowers by request, but donations if wished, may be given for Church Funds and the Colposcopy Unit at the James Cook University Hospital.


McCORMICK - June 18 (suddenly, but peacefully, in hospital). Jasmine Nicola Mo. A very special daughter of Martin and Michelle who kept on smiling with every passing day. Also a dear little sister. Will be sadly missed. Funeral to take place on Wednesday June 28. Would friends please meet for graveside service 1.30 p.m. at The East Cemetery, Geneva Road, Darlington, prior to interment.


METCALFE - Darlington June 15 (peacefully). Loettie (nee Harrison), aged 97 years, dearly loved wife of the late Tom, a beloved aunt of Alan and Maureen. Funeral Friday, June 23. Would friends kindly meet for service in Darlington Crematorium 11.45 a.m. No flowers please, by request, Donations in lieu, in aid of Cancer Research, will be accepted by Whitehouse Funeral Service, 17 West Auckland Road, Darlington, DL3 9EL. MILLMORE - June 18 (suddenly, in hospital), of Rowan Court, Spennymoor. Derrick Anthony (Tony), aged 44 years. Devoted son of Ellen and Mickey, dear brother of Kevin, loving father of Stacey, nephew of Nancy, cousin of Janet and Alison. Friends please meet for service at St. Paul's Church, Spennymoor on Friday June 23, at 1.45 p.m. followed by interment at York Hill Cemetery. All are welcome afterwards for refreshments at Spennymoor W.M.C.


MILNE - June 19, Robert (Rob), aged 53 years, of Shildon, formerly of Darlington. Cherished and adored husband of Karen, a much loved and devoted dad of Kristina, Katherine, Kelly, Hayley and Darren, loving grandad of Alana, Keisha and Denton, son-in-law of Alice, also a son, brother, uncle and nephew and special friend of Carl, Sandra and Jan. Will all family and friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium on Thursday, June 22 at 2.00 p.m. By Rob's request, strictly no flowers. Donations in lieu of flowers to be given to Karen or left at the crematorium for the Great North Air Ambulance.


MURPHY - June 16 (suddenly, but peacefully), of Bishop Auckland. Patrick, aged 79 years, dearest husband of Jenny (nee Ellis), a loving father of Sean, father-in-law of Jo, also a devoted grandad of Rosie and a good friend to many. Requiem Mass will be held in St. Mary's R.C. Church, Bishop Auckland on Monday, June 26 at 12.00 noon, followed by interment.
