Arnold, aged 78 years, beloved husband of the late Agnes, dearly loved dad of Keith and Julie, dearest father-in-law of Lynn and Billy and a treasured grandad and great-grandad. Would friends please meet for service in St. Michael's Church, Bishop Middleham on Friday, August 11 at 10.15 a.m. followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu for Cancer Research. All are welcome afterwards for refreshments at The Fleece Inn, Bishop Middleham.


WELLS - August 5, peacefully in hospital, of Baldersby, Thirsk. Victor, aged 87 years, beloved husband of Madge, loving father of Janet and the late Raymond, dear father-in-law to Derek, brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. The funeral service will be held at St. James' Church, Baldersby St. James on Monday, August 14 at 11.00 a.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to the church.


WHITE - August 3, in hospital, of Owen Street, Ferryhill. Norman, aged 69 years, dearly loved husband of the late Betty and a dear father of the late Lisa and father-in-law of Keith and Lorraine and a much loved grandad of Bethany and Liam. Cortege leaving Blandford Street at 10.30 a.m. on Thursday, August 10 for service and committal at Durham Crematorium at 11.00 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations, if so desired, to Cancer Research.

Annie Bainbridge (nee Scott), aged 80 years, beloved wife of the late James, dearly loved mam of Doreen and son-in-law Billy, much loved nan of Claire, dear auntie of Anne, a dear sister of Lily, Fred and the late Mary and Madge. Funeral Thursday. Would friends kindly meet for service at Darlington Crematorium at 1.45 p.m. Flowers may be sent to Seaton Leng and Son Ltd., Bondgate, Darlington, DL3 7JR.


WILLIAMS - On August 8 suddenly at home. Doreen Elizabeth (nee Hibbert), aged 82 years, devoted wife of Edward and a sadly missed sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Friends please meet for service at Carrville Methodist Church on Monday, August 14 at 10.15 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium.


WILLOUGHBY - July 31, (suddenly, in hospital), late of Trimdon. James, aged 68 years. Dearly loved father, dearest father-in-law and a much loved grandad. Cortege leaving daughter's residence Laburnum Crescent, Trimdon Station on Thursday at 9.50 a.m. Friends please meet at St. William's R.C. Church, Trimdon Village for Requiem Mass at 10.00 a.m. followed by interment at Trimdon Grange Cemetery.


ALLOTT - August 3, (peacefully, surrounded by her family). Veronica (nee Appleby), aged 85 years, of Frank Street, Gilesgate. Beloved wife of the late Walter, a sadly missed mother, granny and great-grandmother. Would friends please meet for Requiem Mass at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Gilesgate on Tuesday August 8, at 10.30 a.m. prior to interment at Belmont Cemetery.


BEEBY - July 28, (suddenly, at home), of Crescent Close, Sherburn Village. Rene, aged 72 years. Beloved wife of Thomas, a dear mam of Yvonne and Diane and mother-in-law of John and great-grandmother to Daniel and Christian, also a much loved sister to Jim and Doreen, Sheila and Joe, Angeline and Peter, Yvonne and Fred and Douglas and Anne. Would friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Thursday August 3, at 10.00 a.m.


BORROWDALE - July 24, suddenly at home, of Darlington. Audrey, aged 74 years, deary loved wife of Billy, much loved mam of Peter, Billy, John, Jane and Philip and a loving nanna and sister. Lucy, aged 63 years, beloved wife of the late Peter, a treasured mam of John and Bernie, mother-in-law of Sharman and Tanya, a dearly loved nana of John Peter, George, Amanda, Andrew and Sarah and great-nana of Rhys and Leona, a much loved sister of Arthur and sister-in-law of Audrey and a loving aunt. Would friends please meet for service in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Gilesgate, Durham on Friday, August 4 at 9.30 a.m, prior to interment in South Road Cemetery.


CLARKE - On August 3, peacefully in hospital. Muriel, aged 85 years, of Darlington, beloved wife of the late Stephen, loving mother of Brian and dear mother-in-law of Lynn, also much loved grandma of Rebecca. Funeral service to take place at St. Teresa's R.C. Church, Harris Street at 10.30 a.m. on Thursday, August 10, prior to interment at West Cemetery. Friends invited, please meet at the church.


COLEMAN - Of Low Willington. Paul, aged 51 years. Loving son of Terry and Josie, dearly loved brother of Helen, Frances, Joanne and Timothy, also a dear brother-in-law and uncle. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass at Our Lady and St. Thomas R.C. Church, Willington on Monday August 7, at 12.00 noon. Interment to follow. All are welcome for refreshments afterwards at The Black Horse, Low Willington. Donations in lieu of flowers please to, The Mersyside Centre for Deaf People may be left with the family.

Much loved wife of Chas, loving mother of Karen, Stephen and Judith, cherished grandma of Christopher and Ali, David and Sarah, great-grandma to Ben and Charlie, also sadly missed by brother-in-law Don. DALE - Edna Peacefully in hospital on July 23. Edna of Saltburn. Beloved wife of the late Henry, a dear mam of Julian, Eileen and the late David, mother-in-law and grandma, sister of George, Elizabeth and Chris. Funeral service took place on Tuesday August 1, in St. Hilda's Church, Danby, followed by burial in the church yard.


DAVIDSON - July 28 (peacefully, after a long illness), of York Hill Crescent, Spennymoor, (formerly of Phoenix Row). John, aged 60 years. Dearly loved and devoted husband of Janet, a dear dad of Keith, Paul, Jason and Justin and father-in-law of Stephanie and Dawn, a dear brother of Martin and Carol, also a devoted granda. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium on Monday for a service and committal at 2.00 p.m.


DAVISON - July 31, of Bishop Auckland. Thomas (Tom), in his 80th year, beloved husband of Maureen, devoted dad of Clare and Emma, dear father-in-law to Lee, also a much loved and loving grandad of Jonah and Piper. Will friends please meet for service in Bishop Auckland Methodist Church at 10.30 a.m. on Monday, August 7, followed by cremation at Durham.


ECCLESTON - August 2 (suddenly, at home), of Green View, Eggleston, Barnard Castle. Irene (Rene), aged 92 years. Dearly beloved wife of Jim, a much loved mother of Kathryn and Susan and a loving grandma of Matthew, Jonathan, Gareth, Alice and Anthony. Full particulars to follow.


ELLIOTT - July 31 (peacefully), of Pease Way, Newton Aycliffe. Joan Hannah (formerly Richardson/ Walker), aged 87 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Harry, a devoted mother of Joe, Barbara, Jennifer and Derek and a dear mother-in-law, also a much loved gran and great-gran. Cremation Tuesday, August 8 at Darlington following a service in the crematorium chapel at 10.15 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium.
