Will friends please meet for service and cremation at Darlington Crematorium on Friday, August 18 at 10.45 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to the Alzheimers Research Trust, Livanos House, Granhams Road, Cambridge, CV2 5LQ.


SUNTER - On August 16 (peace-fully at Rosedale Nursing Home), of 3 Quaker Close, Reeth. Elizabeth Caroline (Dibs), aged 91 years, dearly loved wife of the late Lenny. Funeral service to be held at Reeth Methodist Chapel on Friday, August 25 at 11.00 a.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please, however donations in memory of Dibs, if so desired may be given at the service for Chapel Funds and Quaker Close Residents' Welfare Fund. Will friends please meet at the Chapel and accept this intimation.

Mary, aged 87 years, dearly loved wife of the late George, loving mother of Frederick and Brian, mother-in-law to Mabel and Denise and dearest nana to Linda, Angela, Craig and Helen. Funeral service and cremation to take place at Darlington Crematorium on Wednesday, August 23 at 11.15 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations if wished may be given for the M. A. Unit at the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton.


THOMAS - Joan Wife of the late Ernest Reginald John Thomas, of Darlington, mother to Neil, Stuart, Karen and Gill, grandmother to Neil, Catherine, James, David, Olivia and Chloe and a great-grandmother to Connor, George and Rhianon, loving sister to Pam and Granville and to the late Vernon, Ernie and Bert. Passed away suddenly at home on August 10. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Thursday, August 17 at 1.45 p.m. Family flowers only. Margaret (Nellie), aged 93 years, beloved wife of the late Walter, a much loved mam of Beryl, Margaret and Keith and a mother-in-law of Barry, Neil and Maureen, a dearly loved nanna and great-nanna. Would friends please meet for service in Murray I.M. Church, Brandon on Thursday, August 17 at 10.45 a.m., prior to cremation at Durham. Will be sadly missed by all her family.


WATT - August 16 (passed away in hospital, after a sudden illness). Caroline, aged 48 years, of Lanethorpe Road, Darlington, a devoted mam of three and partner to Iain, who will be sadly missed, also a dear daughter, sister, nannie and aunty. Funeral to take place on Thursday, August 24. Would friends please meet 11.00 a.m. for service at St. John's Church, prior to cremation at Darlington Crematorium.


WAUGH - (Gilesgate) As the result of an accident on August 8, aged 92 years. Ella, loving aunt of Margery, Barry, Anita and Pamela, also a dear sister and friend. Friends please meet at Durham Crematorium on Thursday August 17, at 1.00 p.m. for service prior to cremation. By request family flowers only. WHITFIELD - Tragically on August 13, of Skippers Meadows, Ushaw Moor. Gary William (Panna), aged 24 years, dearly loved son of Marian and Albert, much loved brother of Ruth, Laura, Philip and Jill and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Would friends please meet for service in St. Luke's Church on Monday, August 21 at 11.15 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Donations, if desired, for Junior Cricket at Ushaw Moor Cricket Club may be given after the service. Friends welcome for refreshments at the Cricket Club afterwards.


WILSON - August 10 (peacefully), of Shildon. Harry, aged 86 years. Loving husband of Marjorie, dearly loved father of Trevor and Alan, a dearest father-in-law of Pamela and Janice, much loved grandad of Trevor, Matthew and Emma, a devoted great-grandad of Gracie, Kelsie and Renée and dear brother of Grace and brother-in-law of Freda. Friends please meet for service and cremation in Darlington Crematorium on Thursday August 17, at 3.15 p.m.


WISE - (nee Saunders) August 12, 2006. Peacefully, at home. Doreen, aged 81 years. Devoted wife of the late Dougie, a loving mam, nana and great-grandma. Funeral Monday August 21. Would friends please meet 12.30 p.m. for service at St. Clare's Church, followed by interment in Stephenson Way Cemetery, Newton Aycliffe. All donations to, The Marie Curie and Butterwick Hospice.


WOOD - August 14, in Johannesburg, formerly of Horden. Gordon, aged 67 years, husband of the late Isobel, a father and grandfather, dear brother of Derek and Barry and the late Brian and Leslie, son of the late Leslie and Mabel.

Ken, aged 76 years of Hurworth Place, a much loved husband of Muriel, a beloved father to Michael, Calvin and Ghislaine, also a dearly loved grandfather. Will be sadly missed by all.
