COOKE - November 11, (suddenly), of Flora Street, Spennymoor. Baby Tyler Bestford, a much loved son of Dale and Catherine. Will be sadly missed by all the family. HOLDERNESS - Irene Mary, aged 87 years, died peacefully at Rivermead Nursing Home, Norton, Malton on November 10, 2006. She was formerly of Marton, North York-shire. Mrs. Holderness, the widow of George Holderness, formerly Vicar of St. Cuthbert's Church, Darlington (1947-1955), Bishop of Burnley (1955-1970) and Dean of Lichfield (1970-1979), is survived by two daughters, Anne and Susan and by a son David, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Monday, November 20 at 12.00 noon at St. Gregory's Minster, Kirkdale, Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire. Family flowers only please, but donations may be sent to the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research direct and St. Gregory's Minster Funds.
