SNOWBALL - Woodham November 22, peacefully in hospital after an illness borne with great determination, courage and dignity, of Lowther Drive. Maurice, aged 63 years, devoted and very much loved husband of Sandra, dearly loved dad of Tim, David and Rachel and a beloved grandpa of Tom, Ben, Joe, Charlie, Annie, David and Olivia. Sadly missed by all his family and many friends. Funeral Thursday, November 30. Would friends kindly meet for service in St. Mary's Church, Cockerton, Darlington at 1.30 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium 2.15 p.m. Floral tributes welcome. Doreen (nee Christian), aged 75 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Jack, a devoted mam of Barbara, John, Ken, Stephen, Sharon, Paul and Neil, also a dearest mother-in-law, a devoted nana and great-nana and a dear sister of Albert and of the late Joyce and the late Frank. Cremation Thursday, November 30 at Darlington. Cortege leaving residence at 2.05 p.m. for a service in the Methodist Chapel, Shildon at 2.15 p.m. Friends please meet at chapel.


STEVENSON - (nee Slater) November 21 (suddenly, at home). Carole, aged 40 years, of Hutton Avenue, Darlington, a much loved wife of Colin, beloved mother of Natalie and Stacey, a dear daughter of Irene and the late Ken and sister of Nigel. Funeral Friday, December 1. Would family and friends please meet 1.30 p.m. for service at Haughton Methodist Church, prior to cremation at Darlington.

David, of Osmotherley, aged 59 years, dearly loved husband of Christine and a special dad of Andrew and a loved father-in-law to Kerri-Ann, the most fantastic grandad to Olivia and Anya ("You're one in a million grandad David") also the much loved son of Nellie and the late Harry. Funeral service to take place at St. Peter's Church, Osmotherley on Thursday November 30 at 11.00 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations if wished may be given for the Macmillan Nurses and St. Teresa's Hospice, Darlington.

THOMAS - November 25 (suddenly, but peacefully), at Whorlton Grange Care Home, (formerly of Middleton-in-Teesdale and Gainford. Norman Roy (known as Roy), aged 83 years. Much loved husband of Margaret, dear father of Amanda and Hester, also a dearly loved grandfather, brother, uncle, father-in-law and brother-in-law. Funeral Friday December 1. Would friends please meet 10.15 a.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium. Everyone is welcome to the reception afterwards. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers if so desired can be made after the service for Middleton and Teesdale Silver Band.

Norah, in her 99th year, beloved wife of the late Jim and a much loved aunt and great-aunt, also a dear friend of Ken and June. Eric, aged 78 years, devoted husband of the late Audrey, much loved dad of David, very dear father-in-law of Jo and loving grandad of Emily and Daniel. Funeral service to be held at St. Edmund's Church, Marske on Tuesday, December 5 at 1.00 p.m., followed by interment in the churchyard. TOBIN - Thomas C On November 22, peacefully at Lindisfarne Care Home, Tom aged 80 years. A dearly beloved husband of Myrna, a much loved father of Mary, Brendan and Joanna and dearly treasured granddad. Requiem Mass took place today at the Roman Catholic Church of St. Joseph in Hartlepool. URWIN - November 29, peacefully at North Durham University Hospital. John Robson Urwin, of Belmont, aged 82 years, after a long illness. Loving husband of Nancy, devoted father, proud grandfather, father-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle and great friend to so many. So sadly missed. Funeral at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday December 6 at 1.30 p.m. Family flowers only. Doreen (nee Holdsworth), aged 64 years, beloved wife of Chris, devoted mam of David and John, dear mother-in-law to Clare and Andrea, loving gran of James, treasured daughter-in-law of Marg-aret sister of Brenda and also a dear aunt. Eunice, aged 70 years, treasured wife and best friend of Des, a wonderful mother to Trish, Jim, Desmond, Dawn and Marie, much loved mother-in-law and a precious and much cherished gran. Would friends please meet for service at St. Helen's Church, Kelloe on Monday, December 4 at 2.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Elizabeth Anne (nee Graham) aged 81 years, a beloved wife of John, a dearly loved mam of Thomas and Julie, a loving mother-in-law of John and Denise, a much loved grandma to David, Laura, Benjamin, Michael, Hayley and Gary and great-grandma to Jake. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium Tuesday for a service and committal at 11.00 a.m.

Harold, aged 79 years, dearest husband of Irene, beloved dad of Ian, dear father-in-law to Shirley, much loved and loving grandad of David and Thomas, a dear brother to Mary, brother-in-law to Oswald and uncle. Ian Atherton, of Wath, Ripon, beloved son of the late Geoffrey and Doreen, loving father of the late Richard, a much loved nephew, cousin and friend to many. BARKER - Nina Marie, aged 32 years, died suddenly, November 17. Previously lived in Barton and latterly resided in Spain.


BOTTOMS - Isabel Irene (nee Wood), aged 88 years, of Ellerton-upon-Swale and formerly of Henley-in-Arden, peacefully in the Friarage Hospital on November 11, 2006. Beloved wife of the late Harry Simister Bottoms and a much loved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
