BURNSIDE - Robert Edwin (Eddie), aged 74 years, of Sherburn Village and formerly of Saltburn, head of Mathematics at Warsett School until 1989, much loved and devoted husband of Sheila, father of Martin, father-in-law of Penny and adored grandpa (Gramps) of Eleanor. Funeral service to take place at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Belmont on Friday March 17, at 12.15 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium, no flowers by request, but donations in lieu if desired to, The British Heart Foundation c/o, Stuart Wright Funeral Service Ltd., 23 Marshall Terrace, Gilesgate. DOUGLAS - William John On Monday, March 6, 2006, suddenly at home, Stoneyburn, Scotland. Doug, beloved husband of Alice. Sadly missed by all the family.

DRURY - Mr Michael Phillips Drury, Geographer, Philhellene, Church Warden and Fellmonger, ever loving husband of Linda, proud father of Ben, died at home in Richmond on March 15, 2006 after a long illness borne most bravely, aged only 64 years. Funeral service on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at St. Agatha's Church, Easby (by Easby Abbey), Richmond, North Yorkshire at 12.30 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Wear cheerful clothing if preferred. No flowers please, instead make donations to any Cancer Charity.

EDDY - March 10, peacefully at home in Shildon. Morris, aged 77 years, beloved husband of Phyllis, loving step-dad to Norman and Allison, also a much loved granda and great-granda.
