Cicely, aged 84 years, beloved wife of the late Richard Fothergill, a dear mother of Douglas, John, Trevor and Alan, also a much loved mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Funeral Wednesday, September 6, 2000.
Will friends please meet for service and cremation 11.45 a.m., at Darlington Crematorium.
Floral tributes, if so desired, may be sent to the Co-operative Chapels of Rest, Memorial House, 50 St. Cuthbert's Way, Darlington

August 31, 2000 peacefully, at 23 The Oaklands, Middleton-one-Row (formerly of Blackhall Colliery).
Ethel, aged 83 years, a dearly loved mother, grandma and great-grandma.
Funeral Thursday. Friends please meet for service in St. Andrew's Church, Blackhall at 1.00 p.m., followed by interment in the cemetery.

Jack, a dearly loved husband of the late Frances Atkinson, very dear father of Thomas, Frances, Nicholas and Mark, father-in-law of Helen and Keith and a much loved grandfather of Matthew and Edward. Funeral Mass at the Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Rosary, Billingham on Tuesday at 10.30 a.m., prior to interment at Greatham Parish Cemetery. Les, aged 80 years, devoted husband of Margaret, a loving son of Sally, a dearly loved dad of Gillian and Jocelyn, a dear father-in-law of Paul and a much loved grandad of Martin, Colin, Sara and Sonia. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium, Wednesday, for a service and committal at 11.00 a.m. Family flowers only. Sunday August 14 (in Darlington Memorial Hospital after many years of pain bravely borne), of Shildon. Anne (nee Lawrence), aged 66 years. Dearly beloved wife of Les, dearly loved and wonderful mum of Paul and David, kind and giving mother-in-law of Pam and Trish, a much loved grandma of Laura, Katie and the late Joanne, a very special sister of Hazel and Peter, also a dear sister-in-law and auntie. Will be very much missed by all of us. Friends please meet for service in St. John's Church, Shildon on Friday August 19, at 9.15 a.m. followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium.

Sacriston August 15 (in hospital). George, aged 94 years, a much loved husband of Margaret, loved dad of John and Leslie, loved father-in-law of Pauline and Kathleen and a devoted grandad of Deborah. August 13, of Kelloe. Melvyn, dearly loved son of Ethel and the late Daniel, loved brother of Daniel, brother-in-law of Tracy and a dear uncle of Jessica and Hannah. Friends please meet at St. Helen's Church, Kelloe for service at 3.30 p.m. on Friday, August 19, followed by private interment.

August 11 (suddenly, at home) of Esh Winning, late of Horden. Arthur, aged 73 years, devoted husband of Enid, much loved dad of Mary, Robert, Arthur and William, father-in-law to Brenda, June and Sheila, also a loving grandad and great-grandad. Will be sadly missed by all family and friends. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday, August 17 at 2.30 p.m. Gone but not forgotten.

On August 15, peacefully in Middleton Hall Nursing Home, former Matron at Stockton and Thornaby Hospital. Mary, aged 93 years. Funeral service will be held in St. Peter's Church, Yarm Road, Stockton-on-Tees, 1.00 p.m., on Monday, August 22, followed by cremation. No flowers, but donations if wished, may be given to a charity of your own choice. Friends please meet at church.

August 17, peacefully in hospital after a long and courageous fight with Cancer, fought with unbelievable spirit, dignity and a wonderful sense of humour. Wilfred, aged 78 years, of Northallerton, beloved father of Kenneth, Lavinia and Trevor, a dearest father-in-law and a special grandad and great-grandad. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, August 25 at 10.30 a.m. at Northalllerton Methodist Chapel, followed by interment at Crakehall Cemetery. Family flowers only. August 11 (in hospital), of Shildon. Mary, aged 88 years, a devoted wife of the late Bob, dearest mam of Peggy and a very dear mother-in-law of Syd, a much loved nana of Garry, Ian, Janet and Carol, also a treasured great-nana of Carly, Christopher, Zoe and Daniel. Will be greatly missed by all. Private cremation Thursday, August 18, following a service in the Methodist Chapel, Shildon at 2.20 p.m. Friends please meet at chapel.

Peggy, beloved wife of the late Arthur, loving mam of Arthur, Ralph and Irene, mother-in-law of Jeanette and a much loved grandma and great-grandma. Marie Demcia On August 11, peacefully in hospital, Marie, aged 79 years, of Bowburn, formerly of Fishburn. Wife of the late Harry, mother of Marie, Pauline (deceased), Anne (deceased), Joe, Alex, Pamela and John, mother-in-law, nanna and great-nanna. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, August 17 at St. Alban's Church, Trimdon Grange at 10.00 a.m., prior to interment at Trimdon Grange Cemetery.

Elizabeth (Bessie, nee Elliott), aged 88 years, dearly loved partner of the late John, loving mother of Fred, Priscilla and Peter and a much loved grandma and great-grandma. Dearly loved husband of Freda, dear dad of Valerie and Kevin and father-in-law of Dave and Ann, also a much loved grandad to Jessie and Julia. Funeral service at St. John's Church, Dalton on Friday, August 19 at 2.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Harrogate. At Ken's request, please wear bright clothes. Family flowers only. August 17, of Bishop Auckland. Elsie (nee Conley), beloved wife of the late Robert, devoted mother of Robert Anthony, also a much loved and loving sister, sister-in-law and aunt.
