A private family funeral service will be followed by a Requiem Memorial Service at Ampleforth Abbey on Monday, February 4 at 2.30 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, will be shared between St. Simon and St. Jude's R.C. Church, Ulshaw and the Yorkshire Heart Centre at Leeds General Infirmary. Any enquiries c/o Sanderson and Co. Funeral service in St. John's Church, Bilsdale on Thursday December 13, at 12.30 p.m. followed cremation. Donations in lieu of flowers may be given for Cancer Research.

AIREY - December 13, (after a short illness), of Mayfields, Spennymoor. Maureen, aged 74 years. Beloved wife of Douglas, a loving mam of John and Paul, a dear mother-in-law of Lesley and Joan, a much loved grandma to Christopher, David, Jamie, Michael and Steven and a dearly loved sister of Christine, niece of Lydia and aunt to Karen and Lisa. Will friends please meet at Durham Crematorium Thursday for a service and committal at 12.00 noon.

AKERS - (nee Robinson) December 11, peacefully at home with Barbara and James at her side. Vera, aged 87 years, of Hurworth, a loving mother, nanna and great-nanna. Funeral Wednesday, December 19. Would family and friends please meet 1.00 p.m. for service in All Saints' Church, Hurworth, prior to interment at Croft Cemetery.

ALDERSON - Morel December 11, at Grampion House, Peterlee, aged 101 years. Beloved wife of the late George, a much loved mother of Marion, devoted gran of Christine and Kathryn and great-gran of Matthew and Marc. Service to take place at St. Saviour's Church, Shotton on Friday at 1.00 p.m. prior to interment in the church yard, all friends are kindly invited, please meet at the church.

ARMER - December 7, (peacefully, in hospital), of St. Pauls Place, Darlington. Trevorne (Trev), aged 54 years. Loving dad to Helen and Jane and husband to Elaine, much loved brother to Bob, Judy, Dorothy, Pauline, Dave, Lesley, Pete and Gillian, also a dearly loved brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. Funeral Tuesday December 18. Would friends please meet 1.30 p.m. for service at Lowson Street Methodist Church, Darlington followed by cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu can be made at the crematorium towards Darlington Memorial Hospital.

Ellen, aged 86 years, beloved wife of the late William Bainbridge and a dearly loved mum of Patricia, Alwyn and Connie, also mother-in-law of Mike and David, a much loved grandma of Andrew, Neil, Paul and Carolyn, a loving great-grandma of Mia, Jordan, Tyler, Jack, Lauren, Adam and Joshua.
