Watson

Funeral services for Carl Adrian Watson, 87, were held Monday, June 28, 2004, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Gary Maroney, Don Falks, Ron Herring and Davis Thornton officiating. Burial followed in Black jack Cemetery in Phelps.
He was born May 13, 1917 in Phelps, the son of Swantie and Arta Bowen Watson. Mr. Watson died Thursday, June 24, at his residence in Cameron. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Lillie Parker Watson.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Charles A. and Gale Watson of Trinity; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Chester Schumann of Cameron; brother, Herbert Watson of Huntsville; sisters, Jewel Moody of Cleveland and Doris Thomas of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Thomas Watson, Cathy Josey, Scott Watson, Ricky Eaton and Robert Eaton; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Thomas Watson, Scott Watson, Jesiah Watson, Jim Josey, Ricky Eaton, Roger Hightower and Norman Due.
Cochran Funeral Home, Livingston, was in charge of arrangements.
Mudd

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2004, for Dorothy Louise Mudd, 77, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lagrande, with Father Harry Mazurkiewicz officiating. Burial was in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Plum. A rosary service was held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2004, at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.
She was born July 14, 1926 in Bald Prairie, the daughter of William A. and Bertha Winncry Sutter, both of whom preceded her in death.
Mrs. Mudd died Thursday, June 24, at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston.
Survivors include her husband, Delmer Mudd of Onalaska; son, Delmer Mudd Jr. of West Point; daughters, Marilyn Joyce Martinez of Onalaska and Sandra L. Poulus of West Point; brother, Victor Brown of Texas City; sister, Jennie Edgar of Kilgore; grandchildren, Diana Kennedy, Andrew J. Mudd, Tes Martinez, Sabrina Ams, Terry Martinez, James Poulus and Valerie Vandeyer; and six great-grandchildren.

Shaw

Funeral services for Herbert Lee Shaw, Jr., 76, of Grapeland, were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 27, 2004, at the Pace Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Dick Dobbins and Bryan Dickens officiating. Interment followed in Big Sandy Cemetery.
Mr. Shaw was born February 5, 1928 in Groveton, the son of Herbert Lee and Etta Mae Lott Shaw Sr. He was a long time resident of the Big Sandy community and Livingston and served in the Navy for two years at the end of World War II. Mr. Shaw was a machinist at Shell Chemical for 14 years before becoming a building contractor in Pasadena. He and his family moved to Dallardsville in 1965. He continued contracting and also owned a machine shop in Livingston until retirement in 2003. He then moved to Grapeland and was a member of Grapeland First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Shaw died Friday, June 25, 2004, in Tyler.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Demuth Shaw of Grapeland; two children, Ronny Lee and wife, LaNell Shaw, of Big Sandy and Diane and husband, Buddy Sumrall of Grapeland; brother, Joe Henry and wife, Janet Shaw; grandchildren, Angela and Bryan Dickens of Livingston, Jennifer and Kyle Duren of Grapeland, Kristofer Ryan and Stevie Shaw of Techappi, California, Copper Lee Shaw of Techappi, California and Ronny Lee Shaw of Big Sandy; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ronny Shaw, Ron Shaw, Edward Holder, Nowell Wiggins, Dudley Dickens and Dorman Jackson. Kyle Duren served as honorary pallbearer.

Wiggins

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 26, 2004 for Lincoln M. Wiggins, 86, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Hood officiating. Burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery.
He was born November 29, 1917 in Polk County, the son of Joseph Nugent Wiggins and Myrtle May Richardson Wiggins.
Mr. Wiggins died Wednesday, June 23, in Memorial Medical Center, Livingston. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Barney Wiggins, Travis Wiggins, Russell Wiggins, Mayburn Wiggins and Weaver Wiggins; and sister, Vivian Mangum.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Wiggins; daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Bill Watson of Livingston and Bonnie and Donald McConnell of Garland; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Monroe Wiggins and wife, Rosalie, of Menefee, California; grandchildren, Will Watson, Jennifer Gwyn, Douglas Wiggins, Aaron McConnell, Joseph McConnell, Rae Ann Miller, Rene Wiggins and Virginia Kapone; and great-grandchildren, Erin, Kirk, Noah, Grace, Tommy, Bobby, Evan and Ashley.
Honorary pallbearers were Will Watson, Douglas Wiggins, Aaron McConnell, Joseph McConnell, Stewart Gwyn, Rex Minter, James Boddie, gene Boddie, Alfred Tipton and Thurman Terry.

Barton

Funeral services for Daniel David 'Tiny' Barton, 52, of Rye, were conducted on Wednesday, June 17, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at Kingwood Funeral Home. Interment followed in Rye, Texas.
He was born November 23, 1951, the son of Daniel and Norma Barton in Houston. Mr. Barton lived in Humble, before moving to Rye 7 years ago. Tiny dearly loved his wife, Ann, and took great joy in always remembering special occasions in their lives. He loved to read and was especially interested in watching The History Channel. His pastimes included 4 wheeling, taking pictures and enjoying the companionship of his dogs.
Mr. Barton died on Tuesday, June 15, 2004.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Ann; father, Daniel Barton of Rye; daughter, Jennifer Smith and her companion of 7 years, Clinton Forsyth and their daughter, Bailey Forsyth, all of Kingwood; step-son, Gary Snider and his wife, Christie, and their three daughters, Brittney, Ashlynn and Darci, of Kingwood; brothers, Richard Barton and his wife, Dora, of Willis and Wayne Crutcher and his wife, Tracey, and their 4 sons of Humble; and many other family members and close friends.

Fisher

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 24, 2004, at Pace Funeral Home for Eleanor Lois Fisher, 82, of Houston, with the Rev. Kevin Prescott officiating. Interment followed in Bluewater Cemetery.
She was born February 12, 1922 in Livingston, the daughter of Jim Bob and Martha Collins Johnson. She married Edward L. Fisher on July 1, 1939, who preceded her in death in 1988. She had been a Houston resident for 37 years, moving from Beaumont.
Mrs. Fisher died Tuesday, June 22, 2004 in Houston. In addition to her husband and parents, a son, Lynn Fisher; a brother, Earl Johnson; and two sisters, Ebbie Carroll and Novie Green, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Randy Fisher and wife, Jeanette, of Sugarland and Delores Harrison and husband, James, of Missouri City; brother, Doyle Johnson of Silsbee; two sisters, Ruby Loftin of Saratoga and Claire Kinard of Silsbee; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Irish

Funeral services for Joy Christine Irish, 83, of Huntsville, were conducted Monday, June 21, 2004, at Pace Funeral Home, with the Rev. Pat Windham officiating. Interment followed in Peebles Cemetery.
Mrs. Irish was born December 24, 1920 in Shelby County, to parents Al Phonzo and Lillie Mae Lewis Swann. She married her life-long friend, Ford Irish, on March 9, 1940, and he preceded her in death on May 23, 1996. They lived in the Joaquin area until 1943, when they moved to Campti, where they lived until the early 1950s, where they then moved to LaPorte. It was there they raised one son and three daughters. In 1976, they retired and moved to Holiday Lake Estates in Goodrich, where they lived until their health required them to live with their children.
Mrs. Irish was a member of the First Baptist Church of Goodrich. She was known as a wonderful loving wife, mother and grandmother and a caring person who thought more of others' needs than her own. She was at her best when caring for someone in need and loved to cook for family and friends.
She died Friday, June 18, 2004, in Conroe. In addition to her parents and husband, four brothers and three sisters, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Donald Irish and wife, Joanne, of Willis, Dorothy Wise and husband, Bobby Joe of New Waverly, Elaine Bresenhan of New Caney, and Dianne Hamilton and husband, Ricky, of Livingston; former son-in-law, Pat Bresenham of Canyon Lake; brothers, Wayne Swann of Joaquin and Weldon English of Logansport, Louisiana; grandsons, Daniel Irish, Stephen Irish, Duane Wise, Jason Wise, Weldon Breshan and Jeff Hamilton; granddaughters, Dwana Wilcox, Sheri Mendoza, Melissa McClatchey and Sandi Price; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jim Walker, LeRoy 'Buck' Johnson, Marvin Hayes, Billy Wise, Buford Sanders, and Gerald Babineaux. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Gene Mason, James Ray Price, Ken Messner and Jay Freund.

McCullough

Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2004, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, for Marion Andrew McCullough, 66, with Lee Brinkmann officiating. Burial followed in Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur.
He was born April 4, 1938 in Houston, the son of Clarence Andrew McCullough and Ruby Chansey McCullough, both of whom preceded him in death. He was known as a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Mr. McCullough served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, including service during the Vietnam era, having attained the rank of MSGT/E7.
Mr. McCullough died Sunday, June 20, in East Texas Medical Center in Trinity.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy McCullough; son, John McCullough of Tomball; daughters, Mary Ann Carpenter of Porter, Kelly Pope of McKinney, Monica Amyett of Fort Worth and Dorothee Sappenfield of Allen, Oklahoma; grandsons, Richard Carpenter, Luke Pope, Collin Pope, Samuel Amyett, Freddy Amyett, Danny Dickerson, Robert Dickerson, Steven Dickerson and Kenton Sappenfield; granddaughters, Stephanie Carpenter, Meika Pope and Jinny Sappenfield; and brother, Charles McCullough of Omaha, Nebraska.

Pedersen

Ib Arve Pedersen, 76, of Livingston, died Friday, June 18, 2004, in Memorial Medical Center - Livingston.
Visitation was held Monday, June 21, at Pace Funeral Home. No service was scheduled.
Mr. Pedersen was born on August 14, 1927 in Aarhus, Denmark. He was retired from the Merchant Marines, where he served as an engineer aboard ship. He and his wife, the former Nora Baker, were married in 1962. They returned to Livingston in 1971 from Houston. Mr. Pedersen was a member of Trinity Lodge No. 14 AF&AM, Houston Scottish Rite, Arabia Shrine Temple AAONMS in Houston, Order of the astern Star and the Livingston Lions Club. In addition to his parents, one sister preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Nora; and two brothers, Uffa Anelung and Fredrik Anelug, both of Aarhus, Denmark.

Pennington

Funeral services for Wilma Ruth Pennington, 77, were held Sunday, June 20, 2004, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Gideon Watson officiating. Burial followed in Holly Grove Cemetery in Livingston.
Mrs. Pennington was born April 15, 1927 in Nevada County, Arkansas, the daughter of James Kelly Hill and Annie Bell Mohan Hill.
Mrs. Pennington died Thursday, June 17, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, L.D. Kennedy; second husband, Forrest A. Dongan; brothers, James Hill and Don Hill; and sister, Neva Maxwell.
Survivors include her husband, William Pennington; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Susan Kennedy of Deer Park and Forrest L. and Christine Dougan of Pasadena; daughters and sons-in-law, Gayla and George Everitt of Rye and Sandra Jean and Richard Shiver of Pearland; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Pat Hill of Prescott, Arkansas; and sister-in-law, Eileen Hill of Emmett, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were Kennard Williams, Johnny Jones, Jerry Criswell, Billy Chadwick, Joe Jones and Joe Wayne Fregia.
