Willis

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2004 for Marjorie Lee Willis, at First United Methodist Church of Livingston with the Rev. Keith Whitaker officiating. Burial followed at 2:00 p.m. in South Park Cemetery in Pearland.
Marjorie was born in Port Arthur on May 19, 1934 the daughter of James Lee Waits and Marjorie May Waits. She married Dr. Don Willis on December 22, 1958 and they spent 45 wonderful years together. She passed from this earth on January 28, 2004 in Lufkin.
A graduate of Lon Morris and the University of Texas, Mrs. Willis lived a life filled with service to others. A public school teacher for over 30 years, she loved to work with children and youth. After retirement (and sometimes even before) she would quip, "I never DID get out of third grade." Though she made jokes, she deeply enjoyed her time as an educator.
In her retirement, she found a love for quilting and eventually joined the Piece-makers Quilting Guild in Goodrich. Every one of her children and grandchildren have quilts that were made by her hand, especially for them.
She was known as a woman who loved to be around people and people loved to be around here. She stood fast in her faith and her beliefs and loved to share them with others. Where he husband went, so did she. And no matter which church Dr. Don Willis was assigned to, she found ways to be involved in the spiritual life of the church. She would teach Bible studies, work with the youth, and help to establish prayer groups.
Her life was filled with touching others in a unique way, and she will be deeply missed by her friends and her family.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Don Willis, pastor of Goodrich First United Methodist Church; her three children, Martha Crain, Lynn and David Stuart, and the Rev. Fred and Sarah Willis; and by her three grandchildren, Joseph Crain, Austin Stuart and Connor Stuart.
Pallbearers were Harold Vaughn, Bob Kilgore, Virgil Shelton, Bobby Cribbs, George Dill, David Houseworth, William "Bill" Turner and Jimmy Lackey. Honorary pallbearers are the ministers and their spouses of the Texas Annual Conference, the Piece Makers Quilting Guild, and the members of the First United Methodist Church of Goodrich.
Flowers may be sent to the First United Methodist Church in Livingston. Memorials may be made to Legacy DGW, P.O. Box 1718, Livingston, Texas 77351.

Willson

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2004 for Will Hannan Willson, 75, at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston with the Rev. Robert Jones officiating. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery. military honors were provided by the VFW Post 8568 Honor Guard.
He was born August 12, 1928 in Barnum, the son of Bailey and Zelma Wagner Willson. He was co-owner of Willson & Willson Logging Company. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Willson died Wednesday, January 28, 2004 in Memorial Medical Center, Livingston. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank Willson, Joe Bailey Willson, Elvin Willson and Sam Wilson; sister, Betty Jean Grimes.
Survivors include his wife, Odie Ray Willson of Moscow; daughters and sons-in-law, Debby and Billy Adams of Friendswood, Reyna and Jerry McPeak of Evergreen, Colorado, and Martha and Randy Saunders of Ponder; sister and brother-in-law, Geneva and E.L. Burns of Magnolia; sister, Mattie Powell of Barnum; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Shirley Willson of Moscow; grandson, Gerald McPeak of Evergreen, Colorado; granddaughters, Patty McPeak of Evergreen, Colorado, Kelley Adams of Friendswood, Kristi and Zach Yeglin of Houston and Kori Adams of Friendswood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Steve Willson, Charles Willson, Gerald McPeak, Kenneth Peace, James Glass, Charles Willson, Shane Morosko and Zach Yeglin. Honorary pallbearers were John Brown, Sidney Adams, Buddy Purvis and Jay Locke.

Dennison
Funeral services for Ruby Dennison, 76, of Liberty, were held Sunday, January 18, 2004, at Allison Funeral Service in Liberty. Burial followed in Guedry Cemetery, Batson.
A native of Marquez, Texas, she had lived most of her life in the Liberty area. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Moss Hill.
Dennison died Thursday, January 15, 2005 in a Baytown hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Ella Mae Bailey Copeland.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and David Hughes of Batson, Cathy and Joe Parrish of Dayton and Judi and Alfred Gallander of Moss Hill; brother, Earl Copeland of Moss Hill; former husband, A.S. 'Buddy' Dennison of Moss Hill; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Desormeaux
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2004, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath, Louisiana, for Eugene Desormeaux, 75, of Livingston. Burial followed in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Erath.
He was born August 12, 1928 in Erath, Louisiana, the son of Eluse and Edie Boudreaux Desormeaux, both of whom preceded him in death. Mr. Desormeaux served In the U.S. Navy during World War II, having attained the rank of seaman first class.
Mr. Desormeaux died Sunday, January 18, 2004 in Triumph Hospital of East Houston in Channelview.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Dick and Debbie Gee of Galena Park, David Gee of Channelview and William and Billie Gee of Spring; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Ronnie Dodd of Deer Park; brother, Roland Desormeaux of San Francisco, California; sister, Helen Dubois of Lake Charles, Louisiana; grandchildren, Jeremy Gee, Jamie Wolcott, Amy Gee, Jennifer Gee, William Thomas and Brian Dodd; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and his best friend/dog, Nat.

Ford
Ermel Ruth Lambeth Ford, 70, of Livingston, died on Tuesday, January 20, 2004 in Livingston.
She was born February 4, 1933 in Ardmore, Oklahoma, the daughter of John Elvis Flowers and Willie Mac Sealy Flowers, and graduated from Ringling High School in Ringling, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; daughter, Lori Lambeth; and brother J.F. Flowers.
Survivors include the father of her children, Percy Leo Lambeth of Israel, Oklahoma; sons, Percy David Lambeth of Ada, Oklahoma and Daniel Keith Lambeth of Ardmore, Oklahoma; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary F. and Vernon E. Sweeney and William D. and Jay Morgan, all of Livingston; brothers, Hue Henry Flowers of Long Beach, California, James Weldon Flowers of Houston, Donald Ray Flowers and Billy Joe Flowers, both of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Fregia
Funeral services for Brent Michael Fregia, infant son of Michael and Chancie Fregia, of Hull, were held Sunday, January 18, 2004, at Daisetta United Pentecostal Church in Daisetta with the Rev. Lonnie Jordan officiating. Burial followed at the Oakdale Cemetery, Daisetta.
Brent died Thursday, January 15, 2004, at Liberty-Dayton Community Hospital.
Survivors include his parents, Michael and Chancie Fregia of Hull; brother, Bryce Wayne Fregia of Hull; grandparents, Ruby and Jack Hanks Jr. of Hull, Michael and Linda Fregia of Fannett, Johnny and Ronnie Kay Bailey of Rattan, Oklahoma; uncles and aunts, Nathan Hanks of Tarkington Prairie, Destiny Hanks of Hull, Misty Hanks of Hull, Jace Bailey of Batson, Kody Bailey and Jessy Bailey, both of Rattan, Oklahoma; and numerous other relatives.

Harrison
Graveside services for Marsha Anne Bean Harrison, 55, were held Wednesday, January 14, 2004, at Security Cemetery, with the Rev. Frank Hood officiating.
Mrs. Harrison was born on January 23, 1948 in Houston and died on January 12, 2004 in Cleveland.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Harrison of Cleveland; daughter, Tanya Smith of Cleveland; daughter, Tanya Smith and husband, John, of Conroe; son, Thomas Ellis Jr. of Cleveland; mother, Martha Crawford of Woodville; sisters, Sue Landers, Georgia Odom, Betty Peters, Sally Elster and Kylene Burford; grandchildren, Keenan Ellis, Chloe Smith and Amy Warner; aunt, Margaret Rushing of Livingston; and numerous other relatives and friends.

McGarrahan
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at Peebles Cemetery for infant Andrew "Our Little Angel" McGarrahan, with the Rev. Robert Smith and Bud Wolcott officiating.
Andrew was born Sunday, January 18, 2004 in Beaumont, the son of David and Pamela Compton McGarrahan, and died Sunday, January 18, in Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Survivors include his father and mother, David and Pamela McGarrahan of Livingston; sister, Jessica McGarrahan of Livingston; brother, Ryan McGarrahan of Livingston; grandparents, Kenneth and Arlyene McGarrahan and Charlie and Debbie Stephens, all of Livingston; great-grandmother, Faye McGarrahan of Livingston; uncle and aunt, Dwayne and JoAnne McGarrahan of Livingston; aunt, Kristi McGarrahan of College Station; uncles, Butch Compton of Houston and Waco Compton of Goodrich; and cousins, Allison McGarrahan and Amber McGarrahan, both of Livingston, Dylan Compton, Shannon Compton and Stephanie Compton, all of Goodrich.

Puckett
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 21, 2004 for Beulah Faye 'Bo' Puckett, 53, of San Antonio, at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Larry Watts officiating. Burial followed in the Davis Family Cemetery in Polk County.
She was born August 10, 1950 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Thurman and Myrtle Elizabeth Shaw McCullar. Mrs. Puckett was a photo consultant with Life Touch for the last three years.
Mrs. Puckett died Sunday, January 18, 2004 in Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John David McCullar and Clyde Benjamin McCullar; and sister, Margaret Lavana McCullar.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Brayne Elizabeth and Robbie Tharp of San Antonio; granddaughters, Candice Elizabeth Tharp, Alex Sosa and Stefani Sosa, all of San Antonio; grandson, Kyle Robert Tharp of San Antonio; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jesse Leroy and Melba McCullar of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Billy Ray and Flo McCullar of Sun Ray, Herman D. and Rose McCullar, and Donnie Mack and Betty McCullar, all of Lubbock; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty Sue and Joe Avery of Goodrich, Beatrice Louise and Larry Watts of Freeport and Barbara Jean Hill of Sweeny; 17 nieces; 13 nephews; numerous grandnieces and grandnephews and numerous other family members, friends and co-workers.

Smith
Funeral services for Mack Lee Smith, 80, of Rye, were held Monday, January 19, 2004 at Pace-Stancil/Probst Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in Holly Grove Cemetery in Segno.
He was born April 21, 1923 in Roanoke, Virginia, the son of Joseph and Faye Smith. Mr. Smith died on January 16, 2004.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Joann Smith; daughter, Laura Lee Stanford; sons, Second Lieutenant Mark Lee Smith and Michael Lee Smith; sister, June French; brothers, Mike and Kenny Smith; and grandchildren, Ethan Stanford and Colin, Dustin, David, Devin and Kyle Smith.

Phillips
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 24, 2004, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel for Hortense Phillips, 91, of Livingston, with the Rev. Frank Hood officiating. Burial followed in Bold Springs Cemetery.
She was born April 19, 1912 in Cut-N-Shoot, the daughter of Robert and Carrie Thomas Martin. She worked in the cafeterias at Goodrich and Onalaska Independent School Districts.
Mrs. Phillips died on Wednesday, January 21, 2004, in Memorial Medical Center, Livingston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan D. Phillips; and her parents.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dickey and Pat Phillips of Livingston; grandson, Thomas Phillips and wife, Liz; granddaughters, Tammy T. Polk of Waco and Angie Everitt and husband, Ted, of Livingston; great-grandsons, Arlen Phillips and Cole Smith, both of Livingston and Josh Phillips of Goodrich; great-granddaughters, Jordan Polk of Waco and Amy and Madison Phillips, both of Goodrich; special friends, Novie Hicks, Nelda Moffett and Peggy Kimes, all of Goodrich, Guy Wilhelm of Waco, Byron Pope, Alvin "Pop" Shankles and Harold "Bubba" Ellis, all of Livingston.

Kaydee Smith, age 14 days, of Diboll, Texas, passed away January 22, 2004. She was born in Kingwood, Texas on January 8, 2004.
Survivors include her parents, Edwin and Jamie Smith; brothers and sisters, Justin, Tyler, Brooklyn and Kaylee Smith; grandparents, James W. and Loretta Smith, James and Stephanie Griffin, Paul Silcox and Pam Simons; great-grandparent, Frances Griffin; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside services for Lillie Lee Hunter White, 56, of Saratoga, were held on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at Felps Cemetery in Thicket with Rev. Bill Campbell officiating.
She was born on January 11, 1947 in Shreveport, Louisiana, and passed away at Hermann Baptist in Beaumont on Friday, December 26, 2003. She was preceded in death by her youngest brother, William Daniel Hunter, in 1982.
Survivors include her parents, Henry and Lucille Hunter of Saratoga; two sisters, Sherrie McAdams of Hardin and Medrick Parker of Louisiana; one brother, Henry Hunter Jr. of Tomball; several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Williamson
Funeral services for George H. Williamson, 57, of Hull, were conducted on 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2004, at the North Main Baptist Church. Interment followed at Boothe-Jacob Cemetery in Moss Hill.
He was born November 19, 1946 in Liberty, the son of G.W. and Lissie Williamson. He grew up in the Hardin area where he graduated from Hardin High School. He then served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He married his high school sweetheart, Wanda Sumter, in 1966. Williamson was a mill wright at U.S. Steel for 17 years and then was with Vopak for the next 15 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing with his grandkids, Logan, Morgan, Casey and Luke.
Mr. Williamson died Thursday, January 22, 2004 in Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and niece.
Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Wanda Williamson of Hull; son and daughter-in-law, James and Joanna Williamson; daughter and son-in-law, Lea Ann and Tom Chalfant; grandchildren, Logan and Casey Williamson and Morgan and Luke Chalfant; mother-in-law, Irene Odom; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Charlotte and Ronnie Graham, Brenda and Cecil Slankard; nephew and nieces, Mike and Tiffany Graham, Kirk Graham, Kevin and LeighAnn Slankard, Keith and Lacey Slankard; great-nieces and nephews, Michael and Kayleigh Slankard, Taylor Graham and Kaylee Slankard; aunts, Ruby Odom, Joyce Watson and Rose Garb; and many other friends and relatives.
