Johnnie Mae Edmonds, 58, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Beeville. Funeral services will take place that day at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Eric Tarver officiating. Burial will follow in Saint Rose Cemetery.
Survivors include her mother, Ruth Goode of Beeville; three daughters, Robbie Clay and Tijuana Edmonds, both of Beeville, and Kasha Marie Edmonds of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sons, John, Jasper and Tommy Clay, all of Beeville; two sisters, Willie Mae (Rufus) Miller of Jacksonville, Fla., and LeVonne Kay of Port Arthur; three brothers, James (Kathy) Lewis of Los Angeles, Calif., Woodrow (Angela) Goode of Corpus Christi and Henry Kay of Beeville; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Arrangements were handled through Unity Chapel Funeral Home, Corpus Christi.
Moore
Garnett W. Moore, 91, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003.
He was born in the Dahl community northwest of Pettus, on Dec. 1, 1911. He was the son of Warren B. and Margaret Dahl Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Shirley Turner and Inez Turner; wife of 61 years, Mildred Moore; and grandson, David Atkinson, who died in 2001 after a courageous battle with leukemia.
He is survived by his daughter, Tommie Kay Atkinson, and her husband, Tom; two grandsons, Ryan and Daniel; two step-granddaughters, Alicia and Desiree; and two step-great-granddaughters, Krysta and Alexsia. He is also survived by his sister, Kathryn Baer, her husband, Bob, and several nieces and nephews.
Garnett had been an active member of Hyde Park Christian Church since 1968. He was made a life elder in 1993 and had led the Thursday Bible study for 28 years before retiring in 1996. He had also been a teacher of the Partners with God Sunday School class since 1968.
Garnett and Mildred had attended every General Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) from 1975 through 1995.
He was a 50-year member of Hill City Lodge No. 456 AF&AM. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945 and received an honorable discharge as a chief storekeeper. He was employed by the Texas Employment Commission for more than 30 years.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. today (Saturday) at Hyde Park Christian Church in Austin with the Rev. Chuck Long Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Kenedy.
Pallbearers will be Robert Grundy, Merle Lentz, Ernest Kelley, Yett Hibler, Woods Guinn, George Casey and Edgar Stanfield. Honorary pallbearers will be the other members of the METS (Men Expecting To Serve) group of the Hyde Park Christian Church.

Lopez
Augustin “Borrado” Cardona Lopez, 64, died Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at his residence in Papalote following a sudden illness.
Mr. Lopez was born in Mexico and had been a resident of Papalote for the past 22 years. He was employed as a painter in advertising.
Survivors include his wife, Celia V. Lopez of Papalote; a son, Augustin Lopez Jr. of Austin; 10 stepsons; a daughter, Linda Lopez of Austin; three stepdaughters; a brother, Clemente Lopez of Austin; his father, Trinidad Lopez of Corpus Christi; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Papalote Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Brennan officiating.
Arrangements were handled through Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Inc., Sinton.
Wilson
Milton “Willie” Wilson, 81, died Thursday, May 6, 2004.
Visitation will be held today (Saturday) from 5 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons chapel, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at the same location. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Sunday at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Msgr. William Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Gussettville Cemetery in Live Oak County.
Pallbearers will be John Flater, Jeff Stelzer, Richard Bludau, Frank Carriger, Eddie Houlihan and Charles Bludau. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Jackson, Paul Stewart, Jack Robinson, George Baker, Ralph Leggett, Archie Smith, Perry Morris and Mike Beckham.
Mr. Wilson was born in Duncan, Okla., on Jan. 3, 1923, to Robert and Maggie (Akins) Wilson. He married Doris H. Wilson on Feb. 19, 1965, in Mathis. He served in the U.S. Navy for 35 years before his retirement. He was a combat air crewman in the South Pacific during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9170 and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Doris H. Wilson of Beeville; two children, Egan Stelzer and wife Janice of Fairfax, Va., and Lisa Stewart and husband Paul of Evergreen, Colo.; three grandchildren, Jeff Stelzer and wife Sarah of San Antonio, Angela Marsh and husband James of Catlett, Va., and Tayler Stewart of Evergreen, Colo.; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Hazel Casaccia of Fresno, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Della Louise Edmondson, 74, of Goldthwaite died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Scott & White Hospital-Temple.
She was born on Sept. 23, 1930, in Jourdanton to William Walter and Dell Louise (Winn) Reichert. She married R.C. Edmondson on Aug. 20, 1960. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a retired schoolteacher, having taught in Menard, Pettus and Agua Dulce.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter Reichert Jr. and Chester Reichert.
Survivors include her husband, R.C. Edmondson of Goldthwaite; two sons and their wives, Mark and Barbara Edmondson of Round Rock and Clay and Wendi Edmondson of Cedar Park; four grandsons, Jason, Ryan, Michael and Trent; two granddaughters, April and Tiffany; one brother and his wife, Lester and Delphine Reichert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held Friday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at Stacy-Wilkins Chapel. Burial followed at Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Gonzales
Ester G. Gonzales, 80, died on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, in Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
A rosary was to be recited on Friday at 7 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home. Mass is to be celebrated today (Saturday) at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with Father Patrick Donohoe officiating. Burial is to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Victor Ortiz, Greg Gonzales, Joe Flores, John Gutierrez, Jason Gutierrez, Bobby and Daniel Gonzales, and Arturo Gonzales. Honorary pallbearer will be Johnny (Naro) Martinez.
Mrs. Gonzales was born in Beeville on Sept. 15, 1925, to the late Manuela Garza and Victor Govella. She was a Beeville resident and a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Juan Nieves Gonzales of Beeville; daughters, Mary Moreno of Chula Vista, Calif.; sons, Victor Ortiz and John Gutierrez, both of Beeville, and Joe Flores of Orange Grove; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Frank B. Gonzales Jr., 42, died on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006.
Visitation was held Thursday from 11 a .m. to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on the same day and at the same location. Mass was to be celebrated Friday at 2 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church, with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial was to follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers were David Trevino, Christopher Tapia, Jose Luis Perez, Rene Trevino, Thomas Camacho and Enocencio Tapia. Honorary pallbearers were Erasmo Rodriguez, Ricky DeLeon, Paul Jaure, and Rudy Castaneda.
Mr. Gonzales was born in Mathis on Aug. 30, 1963, to Juanita Benavidez and Francisco M. Gonzales, Sr. He married Marianita Trevino on Nov. 25, 1982, in Beeville. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and a custodian for Beeville ISD (A.C. Jones High) for 25 years and manager for “Los Tremendos” for ten years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Rosa Elvia Gonzales, in 1999.
Survivors include his wife, Marianita T. Gonzales of Beeville; two sons, Frank Gonzales III and David Rene Gonzales of Beeville; two daughters, Michelle T. Gonzales and Leeann Gonzales, both of Beeville; three brothers, Lionel B. Gonzales, Lazaro B. Gonzales and Ruben B. Gonzales, all of Beeville; three sisters, Estella B. Gonzales and Delia Gonzales, both of Beeville, and Sandra B. DelBosque of Normanna; and one grandson, Juan Diego Gonzales of Beeville.

Daisy McGrew, 92, died on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Galloway & Sons chapel. A rosary will be recited on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the same location. Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with Father Pat Donohoe officiating. Special songs to be sung include “Old Rugged Cross” and “How Great Thou Art.” Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Bill, Brandon, Dan, Ryan and Gary Quinn.
Mrs. McGrew was born in Vanderpool on Oct. 24, 1913, to the late Pearl Casparis and Robert Ryan. She was married to William Irving McGrew in 1940 in Beeville. She resided in Beeville and was a beautician for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Joseph’s Altar Society and the Soroptimist Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Irving McGrew; and her parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Hutchins of Beeville, Lola Phillips of New Philadelphia, Ohio, and Barbara Quinn and husband Charles of Beeville; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Adela Cavana, 73, of Beeville died on Tuesday, May 9, 2006.
She was born on April 25, 1933, in Lagarto to Miquela Reyna and Manuel Cavana.
She is survived by five sons, Porfirio Medellin Jr., Anastacio Medellin, Israel Medellin and Faustino Medellin, all of Beeville, and Alejandro Medellin of Toms Brook, Va.; two daughters, Sylvia Martinez of Beeville and Anna Chapa of Kenedy; 22 grandchildren, Porfirio III, Martin, David, Sandra, Michelle, Rosie, Alex, Miranda, Setrick, Cathy, Miquela, Sierra, Claudia, Ismael III, Sylvia Ann, Rosanna, Joanna, Jennifer, Esquiel, Faustino Jr., Manuel and Wally; 37 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Miguel G. Escalon, 69, of Beeville died on Monday, May 8, 2006, at his residence.
He was born on July 5, 1936, in Mercedes to Clara Gonzales and Eleno Escalon. He married Elida Salinas on July 5, 1981, in Beeville.
He is survived by his wife, Elida Salinas Escalon of Beeville; nine daughters, Thelma Olivarez and Frances (Carlos) Garcia, both of Beeville, Irene (Joe Dan) Castillo of San Antonio, Rachel (Gregorio) Avilez of Dayton, Alicia (Joe A. Garcia) Salinas of Premont, Ruby (Joe A.) Pastrano of Lumberton, Rosa Maria (Alfred) Del Toro and Maribel (Ramiro) De Leon, both of Houston, and Clara (Esteban) Castillo of Tennessee; five sons, Ruben (Vangie) Escalon of Tennessee, David Olivarez of Beeville, Noe (Elizabeth) Olivarez of Corpus Christi, Joe A. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday and funeral services, officiated by Rev. Balaswamy Pasala, were held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Treviño Funeral Home chapel. A private burial followed the service.
