Mrs. Sindt
Sammie Gail Sindt, 62, of Corpus Christi died on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006.
She was born on April 23, 1944, to Frances E. and Andrew H. Gomillion in Three Rivers. She received her bachelor’s degree from  Texas A&I-Kingsville in education and was part of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. On Aug. 9, 1969, she married Richard E. Sindt. Before retiring she was employed as a school teacher at Carroll Lane Elementary, Evans Elementary, St. Luke Day School and Sam Houston Elementary. She loved gardening, reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law, Dolores M. Sindt.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; three sons, Chris (Misty) Sindt of Whitsett, Andrew (Catherine) Sindt and Derek (Jenny) Sindt, both of Corpus Christi; one daughter, Holly (Ruben) Rocha of Corpus Christi; one sister, Marilyn (John) Allred of Seguin; one brother, Joel H. (Carol) Gomillion of McAllen; one granddaughter, Nicolete Rocha of Corpus Christi; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was to be held from 1 to 5 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers and also from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday, with a memorial service at 9 a.m. in Corpus Christi. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 4 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Whitsett.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the “To Memory Sammie Sindt Account #1301460-00” at the Coastal Community and Teacher’s Credit Union in Corpus Christi.
Arrangements were by Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers.

Mr. Ayala
Daniel Roquet Ayala, 58, of Normanna died on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007.
He was born on May 12, 1948, in Beeville to Estella Roquet and Severiano Ayala. He was retired from the United States Air Force and retired health inspector for Bee County. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Janie Ayala of Beeville; three daughters, Anna Lisa (Roman) Munoz of Pearland, Regina Marie (Ray Langley) Ayala of Beeville and Christa Danielle Ayala of Houston; three grandchildren, Patrick Langley, MacKenzie Munoz and Aysha Langley; his mother, Estella R. Ayala of Beeville; one brother, David Ayala of Beeville; and one niece, Carrie Ayala of Beeville.
Visitation was to be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Rosary was to be recited there at 7 o’clock that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today (Saturday) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Rev. Patrick Donohoe officiating. Interment will follow in Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Louie Jimenez, Roman Munoz, Randy Ramos, Justin King, Richard Trevino and Albert Constante. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Langley and Daniel Puga.

Mr. Bomersbach
Frank Bomersbach, 74, died on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at the Heart Hospital of Lafayette in  Louisiana.
He was retired from Trunkline Gas after 40 years of service during which time he worked frequently in the Bee County area. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Frank Bomersbach; his mother, Lillie Smiga Bomersbach; one brother, Dan Bomersbach; and one sister, Alice Welsby.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Mouton Bomersbach of Abbeville, La.; three sons, Kevin J. Hebert and Magen of Delcambre, La., Duane Hebert and wife Myra, and Neal S. Bomersbach and wife Christi, both of Abbeville; three brothers, Leonard Bomersbach and wife Lavonne and Bob Bomersbach and wife Bernadine, both of Victoria, and Ray Bomersbach and wife Eunice of San Antonio; one sister, Eleanor B. Ewy of Newton, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Vincent Funeral Home in Abbeville, La. A rosary was recited there at 7 o’clock that same evening. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville, La., with Rev. Joseph Stemmann officiating. Interment followed at St. Paul Cemetery Mausoleum in Abbeville, La.
Pallbearers were Ray, Bob and Byron Bomersbach, Sandy Guidry, Leslie Smolik and Linus Trahan. Honorary pallbearers were Leonard Bomersbach, Adra Manceaux and Nelton Gaspard.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 312-6 C, Guilbeau Rd. in Lafayette, La. 70506 or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., by calling 1-800-531-5174.

Mrs. Ivy
Nettie “Granny” Ivy, 93, of Sandia died on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007.
She was born on July 15, 1913, in Sandia. She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Travis and Elton Ivy.
Survivors include one daughter, Velma Jean Ivy Coburn of Driscoll; one son, Odell Ivy of Beeville; one step-daughter, Luby Brown; five sisters, Effie Schacherl of Orange Grove, Helen Joyce Barton of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Marie Johns of Florence, Ala., Betty Glass of Willis, and Barbara Martinez of Alice; three brothers, Thomas Pearson of Raleigh, N.C., J.W. Pearson of Florence, Ala., and Jack Pearson of Alice; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were to be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel in Mathis with Rev. Mike Herrington officiating. Interment will follow in the Sandia Cemetery in Sandia.

Mr. Stautzenberger
Franklin D. Stautzenberger, 73, of Iola died on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007.
He was born in Tynan on Jan. 30, 1934, to Ida Rudeloff and Alvin A. Stautzenberger. He was retired from the U.S. Army and had served in Korea. He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Tynan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Alvin Stautzenberger; and one sister, Lola Mae Richey.
Survivors include one son, Ron Stautzenberger and wife Jeanne of Iola; one daughter, Susan Gonzales and husband Jaime of Andrews; five grandchildren, Erin, Karen and Jordan Stauzenberger and Josh and Scott Gonzales; and one brother, Adolph Stautzenberger of Skidmore.
Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Saturday) at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Fuhrken officiating. Special music will be “Because He Lives,” “I’ll Fly Away” and “Amazing Grace.” Interment will follow at Waldheim Cemetery in Tynan.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Strong, Allen Luchemier, Glenn Pitts, David Ross, Robert Sugarek, Bill Cunningham, Bobby Pickens and Norman Doubrava.

Askey
Beatrice Boales Askey, 98, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2003.
She was born in Goliad on March 10, 1904. She was a member of St. Paul AME Church in Skidmore, and a former resident of Corpus Christi.
Survivors include her two sons and their wives, Lloyd E. and Florence Askey and Bert N. and Marie Askey; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Unity Chapel Funeral Home in Corpus Christi. Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at the same location. Burial was to take place at 3 p.m. in Skidmore’s Evergreen Cemetery.

Guerra
Harold Juan Guerra, 49, of Pettus died Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, in Bay Area Medical Center in Corpus Christi.
He was born on Feb. 26, 1953, in Kenedy to Fred Sr. and Hortencia (Zepeda) Guerra. He married Miquela Ruiz on Nov. 14, 2000, in Pettus. He was employed as a derrick hand. Mr. Guerra was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his father and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Miquela Guerra of Pettus; his mother, Hortencia Guerra of Kenedy; two daughters, Alma and Lisa Marie Guerra, both of Pettus; four sons, Richard, Frank and Mark Guerra, all of Pettus, and Harold John Guerra of Karnes City; two stepsons, Ricardo and Eric Zamora, both of Pettus; seven sisters, Martha Aranda, Sylvia Gonzales and Mary Morrow, all of Kenedy, Cruz Cuellar, Augustina Moya and Rosa Sauceda, all of Victoria, and Linda Gonzales of Austin; two brothers, Fred Guerra Jr. of Kenedy and Efrain Guerra of Bloomington; and seven grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited tonight (Wednesday) at 7 o’clock at Eckols Funeral Home chapel in Kenedy. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pettus, with Father Lowery Ross officiating. Burial will follow in the Pettus Cemetery.

Nogueira
Josephine Braden Nogueira, 85, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003.
Visitation will be held tonight (Wednesday) from 5 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. at the same location. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Patrick Donohoe officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Clark, Bill Boswell, Bobby Bluntzer, Jake Walls, Mike Nogueira and Bill Aman.
Mrs. Nogueira was born on Feb. 26, 1917, in San Antonio to Joseph and Mary (Flynn) Braden. She attended high school and business school there. She married Robert Nogueira on April 19, 1941, in San Antonio. The couple resided in Beeville. Mrs. Nogueira was a housewife and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She belonged to the Rosetta Club and Pan American Round Table. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died June 2, 2000.
She is survived by two daughters, Flynn Nogueira of Marble Falls and Pauline Nogueira of San Diego,  Calif.; and a grandson, Jake M. Walls of New York, N.Y.

Ofelia L. Sauser, 57, of Austin died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Saturday) at the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd., in Austin.

Williams
John Henry “Pete” Williams, 83, of San Marcos died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, after a lengthy struggle with cancer. Mr. Williams was born on Oct. 26, 1920, in Goliad County to Noah and Helen Bruchmiller Williams. He and his wife, Dorothy, had recently relocated from Seguin. Mr. Williams served in the United States Army during World War II. After service to his country, he worked as a fireman in the civil service until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing during his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his father, Noah; his mother, Helen; his brother, Leo; and his sister, Eddis Angerstein.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Walker Williams of San Marcos; two sons, John David and wife Lillian Williams of Westerville, Ohio, and Charles and wife Jill Williams of Wimberley; six grandchildren, Jennifer Marie and husband Joshua Fitzwater of Greenville, S.C., Angela and husband Mike Takach of Monroe, Ohio, and John Edward Williams of Westerville, Ohio, and John Clinton, Meghan and Seth Williams of Wimberley; one great-grandson, Jacob Andrew Fitzwater of Greenville, S.C.; a sister, Laura and her husband Allan December of San Antonio; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
Visitation was held from noon to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Goetz Funeral Home, 713 N. Austin, in Seguin, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 1326 E. Cedar St. in Seguin, on Friday, with the Rev. Tim Bauerkemper officiating. Interment followed at the Union Valley Cemetery, Union Valley, in Wilson County.
John C. Williams, Seth Williams, James Angerstein, Gary Angerstein, Charles Snyder and James Cowger served as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church in Seguin or the Union Valley Cemetery Association, c/o Mary George Perriman, 3559 C.R. 476, Nixon, TX 78140.
