Jack Milligan
Jack Milligan, 70, of Danbury went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, November 10, 2007.
He was born July 14, 1937, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Verba and Marvin Milligan. Jack served in the Navy and worked in the motion picture industry prior to moving to Danbury in 1982, and he retired from Miken in 1998. He also was a lifetime member of the VFW.
He was an avid sports fan and loved to drink coffee in the evenings and talk politics with family and friends, which he loved more than life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Pete Milligan; sister, Joan Rios; son, Tom; and daughter, Peggy Sue Knop.
Survivors include his best friend, love of his life and devoted wife of 30 years, Brenda; sons, Ralph Milligan and wife, Virginia, of Angleton, Kelly Milligan and wife, Patricia, of Danbury, Robert Milligan and wife, Linda, of Danbury and J.C. Milligan and wife, Becca, of Brazoria; as well as 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother, C.P. Milligan and wife, Marlene, of Edna; brother-in-law, Greg Rios of Jacksonville; sisters, Dorothy Paoli and husband, Andy, and Minnie Walsh of Santa Fe; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends, Petra Osteen, Chris Vega, Billie Bowman and C.W. (Bob) Lampe.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at Stroud Funeral Home with David Smith officiating, with visitation just prior to services.
Interment will be at a later date at Restwood Memorial Park.

Rev. Vincent Baroncelli
The Rev. Vincent Baroncelli, age 97, of Sargent, Texas, went on to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 10, 2007, at the Angleton Danbury Medical Center in Angleton, Texas, after a brief illness. He has been a resident of Sargent, Texas, for the past 47 years.
He was born in the Bronx, New York, on May 20, 1910, to Michele Baroncelli and Josephine Germano Baroncelli. He served in the CCC’s. He then went on to attend Central Bible Institute in Springfield, Missouri, and graduated in 1939.
He was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God Church. During the past years, he was active and looked forward to preaching and teaching Sunday School at the Jones Creek Assembly of God Church, the Brazoria Assembly of God Church and the Lake Jackson Assembly of God Church.
He also was a retired bricklayer, telling stories about the various buildings he helped to build in the South Texas area. He was an avid fisherman and a great storyteller.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Aleen Pittman Baroncelli; his sister, Bertha Baroncelli Findorak; his brothers, Nicholas Baroncelli and John Baroncelli; as well as a niece, Kathleen Findorak O’Neill.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Baroncelli Rogers-Spinden and Lex Spinden of Blountstown, Florida; three grandsons, James F. Rogers II and his wife, Kristin Rogers, of Orlando, Florida, Master Sgt. Britt Baron Rogers, temporarily stationed in Afghanistan, and his wife, Bernadette Rogers, currently in Turkey, and Christopher Spinden of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; 10 loving great-grandchildren; a niece in California; and a nephew in New York.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 12, 2007, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home Chapel in Brazoria with funeral services to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2007, in the same location, the Baker Funeral Home Chapel, Brazoria, with B.F. Flowers officiating. Burial to follow at the Brazoria Cemetery.
He is going to be missed by his loving family and his many friends.

Jimmy Neal Collins was born January 18, 1949, in Winnsboro, Texas to John and Betty Townsend Collins. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching Sweeny High School sports, as well as coaching youth football and bowling.

Mary R. Howell
Mary Howell, 69, of Angleton passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX.
Mrs. Howell was born October 1, 1938, in San Antonio.
Mrs. Howell was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Angleton. She was a fantastic mother who loved to spend time with her family. Mary enjoyed her animals and the outdoors.
Mary Howell is preceded in death by her late husband, Robert Howell, and grandson, Juan Howell.
She is survived by sons, Robert John Howell, Martin R. Howell and Joseph A. Howell; daughters, Alice H. Voelcker, Rebecca A. Howell and Judy A. Wells. Twenty-one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive Mrs. Howell.
Visitation for Mary Howell will be Sunday, November 11, 2007, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Palms Funeral Home chapel.
A graveside service will be held Monday, November 12, at 10:00 a.m. in the Angleton Cemetery with Father Jamie Abercrombie officiating.

Ernest Gautreaux
Ernest Gautreaux, 85, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2007. Ernest came into this world June 8, 1922, in Port Arthur, Texas, born to parents O’Neil J and Maggie (Blanchette) Gautreaux.
Ernest lived in Freeport from 1924 to 1954 and graduated from Freeport High School in 1941. After high school he went into the Navy in 1942. During WWII he served on mostly merchants’ ships as a gunner. He was married to Gracie Domingues for 63 years until the time of her death in June of 2006. Ernest and Gracie transferred to Thibodaux, La, in 1954 with the Freeport Sulfur Co. They lived in Louisiana for 30 years until his retirement in 1985. He returned to Freeport at that time and spent most of his time playing golf and garage selling with his dog, “Fred.” Ernest was a kind and gentle Christian man, and was ready to help anyone when needed.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, wife Gracie, and sister-in-law, Lucile.
He is survived by his brother, Lee Roy Gautreaux and wife Millie; his sister Shirley Gautreaux Hanes and husband, Larry; sisters-in law Bea Rumley (husband Don) and Anna Mae Blanchard; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a few great, great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Johnny Girouard, Norman Landry, Tommy Gautreaux, James Blanchard, Wayne Mullins and Ronnie Broaddus. Honorary Pallbearers are: Michael Gautreaux, Don Rumley, Gene Blanchard, Larry Hanes, Mark Girouard, Joe Domingues and Carlos Antunas and Luke Bly.
There will be visitation Sunday evening from 6 to 9 with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Clute, with Deacon Wallace Shaw officiating. The funeral mass with Fr. Bonnie Flournoy
Necie Bonnie Chamblee Flournoy, 98, of Sour Lake passed away on Friday, November 9, 2007, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Visitation will be held at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont on Sunday, November 11, 2007, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Services will be held on Monday, November 12, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Sour Lake with the Rev. Ken Ellzey and her nephew, Reverend Robert Chamblee officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Pine Ridge.
Mrs. Flournoy was born in Coosa, MS, October 26, 1909, to Necie Zelma and Elbert A. Chamblee. Her family moved to Texas when she was 7 years old. She married David Flournoy in 1929, who predeceased her in 1967. In 1978, she married George Bobbitt. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sour Lake for the past 90 years.
Mrs. Flournoy is preceded in death by her husbands; her parents; brothers, E.C. Chamblee, I.C. Chamblee and E.J. Chamblee; and sisters, Jean Chamblee, Jewel Knierim and Marie Price. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Trahan of West Columbia, TX; son, Charles D. “Bubba” Flournoy of Sour Lake, TX; grandchildren, Necie Janel McCallister of Odessa, TX, Bill Trahan of Pearland, TX, Damon Flournoy of Alvin, TX, Guyla Angell of Santa Fe, TX and Lisa Langdon of Aubrey, TX; great-grandchildren, Michael McCullough of Santa Fe, TX, Taylor Langdon of Aubrey, TX and Liz Crawley-Trahan of Angleton, TX; brother, J. O. Chamblee and wife, Mable of Livingston, TX; sister, Gladys Moffitt of Saratoga, TX; 23 nieces and nephews; special friend, Dorothy Richmond and a host of friends.

Mary Eloise McNeill
Mary Eloise McNeill died peacefully in her sleep after a brief illness, departing this life from her home at The Fountains Assisted Living in Sweeny, Texas, on Thursday, November 8, 2007.
She was born on August 10, 1923, in West Columbia, Texas, to her loving parents, Joseph Gray Dance and Florence Mann Dance. After attending Texas State College for Women, now TWU, she married Levi Jordan McNeill Jr. on April 23, 1942. After his military service, they made their home outside Brazoria at his family home on the San Bernard River, where they raised their three children.
Mary Eloise was active in the First Presbyterian Church of Brazoria, where she was a member for more than 50 years. She served the church in many capacities, as clerk of Session and chair of the worship committee, Vacation Bible School superintendent and teacher, and her ministry of providing flower arrangements every Sunday for many years. She also served the church at the regional level, holding several offices, including president of the Women of the Church of Brazos Presbytery.
She was a charter member and former president of the Brazoria Study Club, and she was active in the formation of the Brazoria Community Library Association, serving that organization as recording secretary for many years. In 1999, she was recognized for her service to the community when she was named Woman of the Year of Brazoria. She touched many lives with her loving concern for others, especially by sending cards to countless people on all sorts of occasions.
She is survived by her sister, Sarah Brown of Chappell Hill, Texas; son, Jud McNeill and wife, Madeline, of Brazoria; daughters, Ginny Raska and husband, Gene, of Brazoria, and Barbara Sullivan and husband, Mike, of Montgomery; three grandchildren, Mary and Andrew Sullivan and Sarah Raska; several nieces, nephews and very dear cousins, as well as a host of friends.
The family especially appreciates the love and concern given by her long-time caregiver Leona Willer, more recent caregivers, Tina and Crystal Lewis, the staff of The Fountains and IPH Hospice, and Dr. Raj Mikkilineni.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home in Brazoria.
The funeral service, a witness to the resurrection of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2007, at 3 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Brazoria with the Rev. Dr. Debbie Measells officiating, with graveside services following at the Brazoria Cemetery.
The pianist at the service will be Dr. Robert Mann.

Tennie George
Tennie Melinda George went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2007, in Crockett, Texas. She was born to Louis A. and Sara Melinda Weed in Tic, Texas, on December 14, 1923.
Tennie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Nolan George of Brazoria; sons, Donnie George and wife, Cindy, of Kennard and Stephen George of Van Buren, Arkansas; brother, Levi Weed and wife, Vernell, of Kingsland; son-in-law, Garry Mize of Lake Jackson; daughters-in-law, Glynda George Booth of Brazoria and Diana George of Lake Jackson; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Tennie is preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Mize; sons , Bobby and Kenneth George; and brothers, Oliver, Etheran, Alvie and Aaron Weed.

John Lawrence Conaway
John Lawrence Conaway was born on August 31, 1920, in Roaring Springs, Texas, to Andrew Jackson Conaway and Katie Belle Holland and went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 11, 2007, at his home in West Columbia at 87 years of age.
Lawrence was an area resident for 54 years and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He attended school at Iola in Grimes County, Texas, before he entered the Army. He served during WWII and, while serving, he participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He worked for Columbia-Brazoria ISD for 27 years in the maintenance department and later was the supervisor of that department. Lawrence also was a member of VFW Post 8551, a lifetime member of the Gulf Coast Rescue Squad and retired Marine Deputy of the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Department. He was a lover of the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Lawrence leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 62 years, Allie Marie Conaway of West Columbia; daughter, June Barber and husband, J.W., of Sweeny; son, Carroll Conaway and wife, Judith, of West Columbia; his grandchildren, Philip and Andrea Johnson, Brian and Fritzann Johnson, Angie and Cory Mickey, Lacie and Blaine Chesser, Justin and Sarah Conaway and Julia and Jake Badders. He also is survived by his great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Johnson, Judith Johnson, Brett Carter, Kaitlyn Dahlstrom, Bailea Matthews, Keegan Conaway and Reagan, Riley and Coby Mickey.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson Conaway and Katie Belle Holland; brothers, Claude, Horace and Elmer Conaway; sisters, Lu Blount and Mildred Bennett; niece, Sandra Johnston; and grandson, John Garrett Conaway.
