Guadalupe Reyes Hernandez, 55, died Thursday, March 11, 2004, in San Bernardino, Calif.
Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Treviño Funeral Home chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated today (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial followed in Tynan’s Waldheim Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Martin, Anthony, Frank and Ramon Reyes and Adam and Joe Cantu.
Mrs. Hernandez was born in Lubbock on Aug. 27, 1948, to Pedro Sr. and Christina (De La Rosa) Reyes. She was a registered nurse at Arrowhead Medical Center and a Catholic.
Survivors include her husband, Amado Hernandez Sr.; her son, Amado Hernandez Jr., both of San Bernardino, Calif.; 12 sisters, Christina Reyes Segovia, Esmeralda “Mandy” Reyes Gonzales and Mary Lou Reyes Flores, all of San Bernardino, Calif.; Beatrice Reyes Mendoza of Plainview, Maria Reyes, Seniada Reyes Bashlor, Blanca Reyes Tufano and Martina Reyes Rodriguez, all of Houston, Josie and Sylvia Reyes of Tolleson, Ariz., Lupe Reyes Martinez of Ogden, Utah, and Frances Reyes Acosta of Pueblo, Colo.; and eight brothers, Frank, Robert and Pedro Reyes Jr., all of San Bernardino, Calif., Ramon Reyes of Tulia, Dionicio Reyes of Weirsdale, Fla., and Blas, Santiago and Luis Reyes, all of Phoenix, Ariz.
Hooper
Freeman Hooper, 84, died Friday, March 12, 2004.
Visitation was held Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. Graveside services took place Monday at 11 a.m. at Beeville Memorial Park with the Rev. David Parks officiating. Special music included “Amazing Grace,” with Rev. Parks singing and playing guitar.
Mr. Hooper was born in Realitos on June 13, 1919, to William M. and Emma Elizabeth (Reynolds) Hooper. He was a Baptist and a former Beeville resident. He had lived in Refugio for the past 2 1/2 years. He was a farmer and rancher.
Survivors include his sister, Zeffie Burris; a nephew, Ernest F. Bippert Jr., both of Kingsville; three nieces, Evelyn Yeary and husband David of Refugio, Henrietta Wagner and husband R.V. and Lorraine Pait, all of Corpus Christi; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and neighbors.

Fairhurst
Gregg Fairhurst, 53, of George West died Saturday, March 13, 2004. Visitation was held Monday and Tuesday at the Galloway & Sons Chapel in Three Rivers. A prayer service was held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the chapel. The funeral will be held this afternoon (Wednesday) at 2 o’clock at First Assembly of God-Three Rivers, with Pastor Bill Stanley Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Three Rivers Cemetery.
Mr. Fairhurst was born Jan. 18, 1951, in Dell Rapids, S.D., to James Fairhurst and Norma Hagg Jensen. He married Pam Acosta on Feb. 22, 1969, in Three Rivers. He resided in George West for 18 years and was formerly of Three Rivers. He served in the Army and was employed with Hamilton Engineering of Houston as a drilling consultant.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Fairhurst; and two sons, Gregory James Fairhurst and Daniel Dean Fairhurst.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Fairhurst of George West; two sons, Sergio Antonio “Tony” Fairhurst and James Ridge Fairhurst of George West; two daughters, Jaime Lynnette Fairhurst of Corpus Christi and Dawn Ewers of San Antonio; three grandchildren, Daniel, Anthony and Christian; his mother, Norma Jensen of Madison, S.D.; a brother David (Dawn) Jensen of Madison, S.D.; two sisters, Lynnette (Julio) Diaz of Winfred, S.D., and Lisa (Dan) Zulk of Howard, S.D.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marroquin
Marina R. Marroquin, 67, died Thursday, March 11, 2004, in Indianapolis, Ind.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Indianapolis, Ind.
Mrs. Marroquin was born in Goliad County on May 25, 1936. She was a housewife.
Survivors include her husband, Simon Marroquin of Indianapolis, Ind.; her daughters, Rose Linda and Noelia Marroquin and Cynthia Pope, all of Indianapolis, Ind., and Maricelda Peña of Mercedes; two sons, Carlos and Jose R. Marroquin, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; her sisters, Teresa Ontiveros of Indianapolis, Ind., Lupe Treviño and Maria Enriquez (her twin), both of Beeville, and Susana Garza of Edinburg; a brother, Armando Ramirez of LaFayette, Ind.; 19 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Roberson
Marvin Eugene Roberson, 77, of Breckenridge, formerly of Rosenberg and Manvel, died Sunday, March 14, 2004, in Breckenridge.
Mr. Roberson was born Dec. 4, 1926, to Alec Lee and Nannie Elizabeth (Camack) Roberson in Mineral. He was an Army-Air Force veteran and a Baptist. He was a plant superintendent of Channel Industries Gas/Tennco and was involved in Boy Scouts.
Mr. Roberson married Joann Elizabeth Dabbs on Jan. 22, 1992, in Breckenridge.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, his parents, his wife, Darlene Virginia (Elliott) Roberson, and a granddaughter, Rebecca Zabawa.
Survivors include his wife, Joann (Dabbs) Roberson of Breckenridge; two sons, Marvin E. (Sharon) Roberson of Needville and Michael (Kelly) Roberson of Alvin; three daughters, Ginny (Dick) Lloyd of Bastrop, Beth (Kenny) Elder of Katy and Sherri (Chris) Zabawa of Alvin; a sister, Ila Lee Crawford of Three Rivers; 13 grandchildren, Brian Lloyd and Debbie Lloyd, both of Choctaw, Okla., Jimmy Lloyd of Albuquerque, N.M., Craig and Todd Roberson, both of Needville, Russell, Phillip and Sara Elder, all of Katy, Ashley and Rachel Zabawa, Shelby, Shane and Sheldon Warman, all of Alvin; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Rose Lloyd and Alan Lloyd, both of Choctaw, Okla; and two stepdaughters, Jolene (Richard) Dombrovski of Azle and Barbara (Bruce) Lamprecht of Abilene.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Galloway & Sons Chapel in Three Rivers.
The funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the same location. Burial will follow in the Pawnee Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren Brian Lloyd, Jimmy Lloyd, Craig Roberson, Todd Roberson, Russell Elder and Phillip Elder. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Shelby Warman, Shane Warman and Sheldon Warman.

Shelton
Jeanette (Rosebrock) Shelton, 73, of George West died Monday, March 15, 2004, in Corpus Christi.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Galloway & Sons Chapel in Three Rivers. The funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the chapel followed by burial at Oakville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Terry Stewart, Doug Stewart, Nathan Stewart, Stocky Morgan, Brett Morgan and Randal Rosebrock.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandnephews.
Mrs. Shelton was born to Oscar Rosebrock and Virgil Campbell on Oct. 28, 1930, in Three Rivers. She married Dick Shelton on Oct. 28, 1957, in LaSalle County. She was owner and operator of Adams Grocery of Artesia Wells and was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include a daughter, Cherie McGuire (Sam) of Orange Grove; a brother, Terrell (Marilyn) Rosebrock of Oakville; two grandchildren, Caressa McGuire of Corpus Christi and Travis McGuire of Orange Grove; and five great-grandchildren, Ashleigh, Alicia, Auzanae, Sidney and Sheigh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Shelton, in 1970; her parents; and three sisters, Marjorie Jean Stewart, Joan Lemley and Juannez Morgan.

Hilberto DeLeon, 89, died Monday, July 19, 2004.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited tonight (Wednesday) at 7 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Special music will include “Amazing Grace,” “One Day at a Time” and “Peace in the Valley.” Burial will follow in the San Pedro Cemetery, located in the Clareville community.
Pallbearers will be Ruben Solis, Max Garcia, Nat Chingwa II, Juan Salazar, Jasper Carbajal and Armando Carbajal.
Mr. DeLeon was born on May 31, 1915, in Yorktown, to Emiterio and Adelita (Castaneda) DeLeon. He married Trinidad Rodriguez on June 25, 1948, in Bee County. He was a retired maintenance custodian for the Bee County Coliseum and a member of St. James.
He was preceded in death by his wife, who died on Jan. 24, 1995, as well as his parents, four brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include his son, Joe Richard DeLeon of Beeville; a daughter, Mary Jane Chingwa and husband Nathaniel of Petoskey, Mich.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Weir and Beatrice Villarreal, both of Beeville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Santos Gonzales, 49, died Sunday, July 18, 2004.
Mr. Gonzales is survived by two sons, Santos Gonzales III and David Lee Gonzales, both of Mathis; three daughters, Caroline Gonzales of Marshall, Minn., Amy Maise Gonzales and Angelica Gonzales, both of Mathis; three sisters, Ofelia Salinas of Waco, Olga Morales and Esmeralda Cantu, both of Mathis; and three brothers, Roberto Gonzales of Beeville, Adam Gonzales and Joe Gonzales, both of Mathis.
The family will receive friends today (Wednesday) from 2 to 9 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home in Mathis, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis. Interment will follow at Descanso Eterno II Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled through Treviño Funeral Home, Mathis.
Krueger
Glenn Bosse Krueger, 77, died Saturday, July 17, 2004.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons chapel. Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Kimberly Campbell officiating, assisted by the Rev. Geraldine Huckman. Special music was provided by organist Dr. James Lee and soloist Emily Shane. Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were members of the Texas Rangers Company D.
Mr. Krueger was born in Montgomery County on Oct. 21, 1926, to Ben Charles and Ann (Bosse) Krueger. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Jackie Hirst in 1952 in Beeville. He resided in Beeville and was a retired Texas Ranger and a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Alan and Teresa Krueger of Del Rio and Montgomery Wade Krueger of Beeville; three grandchildren, Briana, Benjamin and Taylor Krueger; and a sister, Grace Randall of Alice.
Memorials may be made to the permanent fund at First Christian Church.

Jackie Hirst Krueger, 72, died Saturday, July 17, 2004.

Mrs. Krueger was born on Aug. 24, 1931, in Beeville to Sidney J. and Gertrude (Park) Hirst. She married Glenn Bosse Krueger in 1952 in Beeville. She was a member of First Christian Church and retired from her position as bookstore manager at Bee County College.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Wayne Hirst, and two sisters, LaNita Johnson and Gloria Tyra.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Alan and Teresa Krueger of Del Rio and Montgomery Wade Krueger of Beeville; three grandchildren, Briana, Benjamin and Taylor Krueger; and a brother, Johnnie Hirst of Leakey.
Memorials may be made to the Berclair Mansion, in care of the Beeville Art Association.
