Brashear
Ethel Leona Brashear, 91, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005.
Visitation was set for Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. at Galloway & Sons chapel. Funeral service was to be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel with burial to follow in Mineral Cemetery in Mineral.
Pallbearers will be Bill Smedley, Joe Maley, Paul Sepeda, Steven Donald, Jeffrey Brashear and Reagan Brashear.
Miss Brashear was born Oct. 18, 1914, in Mineral to Leona Harris and Henry Richard Brashear. She attended school through the 12th grade and resided in Beeville. She worked as a civil service employee for the George West Post Office for more than 30 years. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Edna Betley, and two brothers, Henry Brashear and Homer Brashear.
She is survived by two sisters, Mamye Brashear Nelson of Beeville and Florence Brashear Donald of Ruston, La.; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Conoly
Patrick Crowell Conoly, 41, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005.
A memorial service was held Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Beeville with the Rev. Adrian Amaya officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday at 4:30 p.m. at the Bandera Cemetery in Bandera.
Mr. Conoly was born April 5, 1964, in Kerrville to Darlene Dee Crowell and Dan Conoly Jr. He had resided in Houston for six years and worked for Global Logistics.
He is survived by his mother, Darlene Conoly of Beeville; his father, Dan B. Conoly Jr. of Floresville; a brother, Clay Conoly and wife Diane of Bandera; a sister, Dona “Bitsy” Neuser and husband Bob of Beeville; a half brother, Bart Koontz of San Antonio; a half sister, Shell Somoza of San Antonio; and nieces and nephews, Alec and Sharp Conoly and Marisa and Clayre Neuser.

Morón
Valdemar Gonzales Morón, 23, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at his residence in Tynan.
Mr. Morón was born Sept. 17, 1982, in Beeville.
He is survived by his mother and father, Martha Gonzales Morón and George Morón of Tynan; a sister, Anna Marie Terry of Arizona; a brother, Randy Ray Gutierrez of Tynan; and a maternal grandmother, Raquela Gutierrez of Tynan.
Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Trevino Funeral Home in Beeville. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church in Beeville with the Rev. Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial followed in Waldheim Cemetery in Tynan.

Mr. Guerra
Alfredo P. “Mr. G.” Guerra, 72, of Three Rivers died at a local hospital on Wednesday, June 13, 2007.
He was born to Alejandro and Maria (Pompa) Guerra on Feb. 14, 1935, in Goliad. He married Emelia Reyna on July 22, 1953. They own and operate Sunrise-Sunset Cafe in Three Rivers.
Mr. Guerra was preceded in death by his parents, Alejandro Guerra Sr. and Maria Guerra; a sister, Maria Garza; and a grandson, Scotty Licona.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Emelia Guerra of Three Rivers; a son, George (Tina) Guerra of Three Rivers; four daughters, Gloria (David) Licona of San Angelo, Gilda (Albert) Ruiz of Three Rivers, Gena Guerra of George West and Geneva (Candelario) Garcia of Three Rivers; one brother, Alejandro Guerra Jr. of Three Rivers; one sister, Eva Cortinas of Beeville; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Three Rivers High School auditorium followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Three Rivers, with Father Piotr Gajda officiating. Burial followed in the Three Rivers Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.

Mr. Martinez
Equiterio G. Martinez, 65, of Sinton died on Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at his residence.
He was born on June 19, 1941, in Beeville to Margarita Guerrero and Monseis Martinez. He married Imelda Vasquez in November 1970 in Corpus Christi. He was a Catholic and a construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Imelda Vasquez Martinez of Sinton; five daughters, Rachel M. Flores of Rockport, Mary Ann Martinez of Uvalde, Josefina M. Vela, Emilia M. Rodriguez and Maria Del Rosario Delgado, all of Corpus Christi; two sons, Eduardo Martinez of Three Rivers and Equiterio Martinez Jr. of Corpus Christi; one sister, Mary Ann Teran of Aurora, Ill., one brother, Margarito Martinez of Beeville; 22 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A rosary was to be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Treviño Funeral Home. Burial will take place in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Mr. Martinez
Adan Martinez Jr., age 51, died on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, in Mathis.
Mr. Martinez was born on Nov. 21, 1955, in Mathis, to the late Adan Martinez Sr. and Lydia Martinez. Mr. Martinez owned and operated AMJ Trucking Co.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen F. Martinez of Tynan; one son, Adan (Krystal) Martinez III of Annaville; two daughters, Lisa (Guadalupe) Martinez of Goliad and Cindy Martinez of Tynan; his mother, Lydia Garcia of Tynan; one brother, Robert Martinez of Fort Worth; six sisters, Maria Lerma, Esmeralda Salinas, Juanita Rodriguez and Adela Moreno, all of Fort Worth, and Diana Guerra and Sylvia Aguilar, both of Tynan; three grandchildren, Cassandra Serenil, and Kaylynn and Michael Martinez.
Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his father, Adan Martinez Sr.; and one daughter, Christina Serenil.
A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Treviño Funeral Home in Beeville. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Church in Tynan. Burial followed in the Walheim Cemetery in Tynan.
Pallbearers were Enrigue Rodriguez, Robert Martinez, Leroy Tamez, James Aguilar, Jesse Salinas and John R. Guerra.

Mr. Robinson
Robert Neal Robinson, age 26, of Beeville, was called to be with Our Lord on the early morning of Tuesday, June 12, 2007.
Robert was born on April 20, 1981, in Beeville,  Texas. He graduated from A.C.  Jones High School in 1999. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Beeville. Robert was brought up around sports all his life and played boys’ basketball four years in high school.
He is survived by his mother, Illa Robinson Stovall of Beeville; his father, James W. McNeal of Taylor; his wife, Melanie Robinson and one son, Tayshuan, both of Sinton; three sisters, Cherlyn “Gayle” Stovall of Houston, Joy McNeal and Kristel McNeal both of Austin; four brothers, Michael D. Robinson and James L. Robinson, both of Houston, sidney R. Robinson and James W. McNeal, both of Austin; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Robert was a great father, son, brother and friend. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007, at Trevino Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Friday, June 15, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Randall Tarver officiating. Burial followed at St. Rose Cemetery.

Mrs. Chandler
Margaret Chandler, 83, died on Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born to Jesse Lee and Mary Jane Sinor on Oct. 2, 1923, in Live Oak County. She was a member of the Cadiz Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney M. Chandler; one brother, Jimmy Sinor; and one granddaughter, Kelly Rose Chandler.
Survivors include two sons, Gordon M. (Charlotte) Chandler and Sidney L. (Janie) Chandler, both of George West; one sister, Lorena Heffnarn of Pleasanton; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers. Graveside funeral services were held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Lebanon Cemetery in Live Oak County.
Arrangements were under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers.

Mr. Fey
Stephen Albert Fey Sr., 85, of Ruidoso, N.M., died on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, at the Mescalero Care Center in Ruidoso, N.M.
He was born in Selma on May 17, 1922, and attended school in San Antonio. He received his bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in public school administration at Southwest  Texas State University at San Marcos. He was a public school administrator in San Antonio and Beeville for 35 years before retiring in June 1982.
While in Beeville, he served as principal of  Jackson and Madderra-Flournoy Elementary Schools and Thomas  Jefferson Junior High School. Prior to his service in the school system, he served in the 15th Air Force during World War II as a second lieutenant for four years (1941-45). He flew 35 missions in B-24 planes over Germany and other war-torn European countries.
He was discharged from the Air Force in August 1945 at Fort Sam Houston. He attended St. Eleanor’s Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. During the 1950s and ’60s, he also served as president of the Lions and Kiwanis clubs.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille, of Ruidoso, N.M.; two children, Becky Fey Burgess and her husband Bill of San Saba, and Stephen A. Fey Jr. of Ruidoso, N.M.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Ruidoso, N.M. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at St. Eleanor’s Catholic Church in Ruidoso, N.M., with Rev. Al Galvan officiating. Burial followed at the Ruidoso-Hondo Valley Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Eleanor’s Catholic Church, P.O. Box 8300, Ruidoso, NM 88355. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lagroneruidoso.com

Mrs. Gomez
Mrs. Petra C. Gomez, age 91, died on Sept. 3, 2007, at her residence after a short illness.
She was born on March 30, 1916, in Cuero,  Texas, to the late Isabella Ybarra and Jesus Chapa.
Survivors include four daughters, Selia (Ramon) Perez and Soveida G. Garcia, both of Beeville, Linda (Agustin) Ortiz Jr. of Gregory and Petra (Juan F.) Flores of Portland; six sons, Jesse (Maria) Gomez of Gregory, Telesforo (Patricia) Gomez Jr., Miguel “Mike” Gomez, Israel “Wally” (Mary) Gomez, Joe Frank (Adelaida) Gomez and George (Mary) Gomez, all of Beeville; one sister, Felicida Davila of Corpus Christi; and one brother, Bentura Chapa of Gregory; 39 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; six brothers; four sisters; one daughter; two grandsons; one granddaughter; and two great-great-grandsons.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Trevino Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Patrick Donohoe officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.
Pallbearers will be Joe Henry Perez, Cal Garcia, Gabriel Gomez, Eric Ortiz, Telesforo Gomez III, and Raymond Flores. Honorary pallbearers will be Adrian Gomez, Jason R. Gomez and the grandsons.
