Gonzales
Jesus G. Gonzales died June 20, 2003, at the age of 57. He was preceded in death by his father Fidel Gonzales and his mother Trinidad Gonzales.
Jesus was born on Feb. 6, 1946 in Skidmore, Tx. He was a retired mechanic for Exxon Service Station. Jesus is survived by his wife of 29 years Leonor E. Gonzales of Beeville, Tx.; one daughter, Sandra Gonzales; two sons, Jesus G. Gonzales III and Jimmy D. Lawson all of Beeville, Tx.; two sisters, Gloria Hernandez of Temple and Sylvia Rangel of Beeville, Tx; three brothers, Jose Gonzales of Beeville, Lupe Gonzales of Tynan and Thomas Gonzales of Austin, Tx.
Rosary was held on Sunday, June 22, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection was held on Monday, June 23, 2003 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial followed at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.
Pallbearers were Lee Roy Flores, Danny Suniga, Lino Garcia, Jose Esparza, Robert Buentello and Gilomeno Esparza Jr.

Gorbet
Dolores Louise Gorbet, 72, of Sandia died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at her residence.
Mrs. Gorbet was born Jan. 22, 1931, in Tynan. She had lived in the Sandia area for the past 40 years. She was a homemaker, member of the Church of Christ in Beeville and of the Lagarto Community Club.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Welton Gorbet of Sandia; two daughters, Sandra Davis of Corpus Christi and Lisa Garrett of Sandia; a sister, Ruby Elliott of Beeville; two brothers, Louis Bradfute of Corpus Christi and L.G. Bradfute of San Diego, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral was held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Dobie Funeral Home Chapel in Mathis with Bob Patterson and Roland Bradfute officiating. Interment followed in the Sandia Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Dobie Funeral Home, Mathis.
Henicke
Minnie (Kleiber) Henicke, 96, of George West died Sunday, June 15, 2003.
A rosary was recited Monday at the Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West. Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at St. George Catholic Church in George West, with Father Joseph Olikkara officiating. Jerry Williams provided music on the organ.
Burial followed in the St. George Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ray Henicke, Frank Henicke, Rickie Henicke, Wesley Henicke, Glen Williams and Jerry Collins.
Mrs. Henicke was born in Hallettsville on Aug. 2, 1906, to Joe and Mary (Schonner) Kleiber. She married Ben J. Henicke Sr. in Victoria on Nov. 2, 1924. She was a homemaker and member of St. George Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ben J. Henicke Sr., on Oct. 8, 1986; a son, Johnny; three daughters, Mary, Elizabeth and Margaret; and three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include 11 children, Ben (Mary) Henicke Jr., Louise Staggs and Willie (Orlean) Henicke, all of George West, Walter Henicke and Alfred Henicke, both of Oakville, Frank (Rosemary) Henicke of Spring, Raymond (Glenda) Henicke of Bishop, Helen Collins of Montgomery, Dorothy (Justin) Williams of Corpus Christi, Gus (Marie) Henicke of Keller and Charles (Ann) Henicke of Karon; two sisters, Martha Huber and Millie Kutcha, both of Victoria; 41 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Saenz
Leslie Denise Saenz, 2, of Three Rivers died Friday, June 20, 2003, at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville. She was born to Earl and Theresa Saenz on July 6, 2000, in Beeville.
Survivors include her parents, Earl and Theresa Saenz of Three Rivers; a brother, David Delgado of Three Rivers; a sister, Shyan Saenz of Three Rivers; her grandparents, Lupe (Norma) Delgado Sr. of Tuleta, Olga (Michael) Smith of Three Rivers and Jesus “Jesse” and Diana Saenz of Three Rivers; two uncles; and three aunts.
Visitation was held Sunday in the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers. Rosary was recited that evening at 7 o’clock in the same location.
The funeral was held Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Three Rivers with Brother Bob Hobbins officiating.
Burial followed in the Three Rivers Cemetery.

Cormier
Allen Cormier, 68, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Pettus, with Pastor Wes Barnett officiating.
Mr. Cormier was born on May 21, 1935, in Gillis, La., to Claude and Florence (McSherry) Cormier. On Feb. 11, 1963, he married Katherine Pundt in Pettus. He served in the U.S. Navy, where he was an aviation support equipment mechanic. He was a carpenter for many years. He was a resident of Pettus and worked for the Pettus Municipal Utility District for 19 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Noah Cormier.
Survivors include his wife, Katie Cormier; a son, Billy Cormier, both of Pettus; a daughter, Debra Warden and husband James of San Antonio; a sister, Marie Babin and husband Johnny of Louisiana; four brothers, Claude Cormier Jr. and wife Cherie of Missouri, Herman Cormier and wife Jo Anne and Richard Cormier, all of Louisiana, and Pete Cormier and wife Sandy of Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren, Allen James and Trace Montgomery Warden, both of San Antonio.
Memorials may be made to Spring Season Nursing Home in Beeville.

Puckett
Robert “Bob” F. Puckett, 81, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003.
Visitation was held Monday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services took place Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ with Bob Patterson officiating and Ron Smith assisting. Special music included “I’ll Fly Away,” “This World is Not My Home,” “The Old Rugged Cross” and “It Is Well With My Soul.” Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lance Smith, Shannon Weeks, Taylor Puckett, Arlon Feuerbacher, Galen Young and Craig Vinson. Honorary pallbearers were Walter Elling, Kyle Mansker, Buddy Smith and David Todd.
Mr. Puckett was born on Aug. 2, 1922, in Kenedy to Thomas Fulmer and Charlotte Vernice (LeBleu) Puckett. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force. He married Flossie “Peggy” Linton on Nov. 23, 1944, in Corpus Christi. He retired in 1989 from Coastal States and was a member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting and sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas D. Puckett.
Survivors include his wife, Flossie “Peggy” Puckett of Beeville; two sons, Robert F. Puckett Jr. and wife Carolyn of Beeville and Billy Clark Puckett of Rockford, Ill.; two daughters, Cheryl Daun Brysch and husband Claude of San Antonio and Charlotte D. Smith and husband Ron of Beeville; two sisters, Betty Storms of Beeville and Genelle McGuill and husband B.E. of Austin; eight grandchildren, Deborah Hale, Sheri Ford, Tracie Weeks, Taylor Puckett, Ashleigh Feuerbacher, Lance Smith, Morgan Puckett and Clinton Puckett; four great-grandchildren; and a niece, Dianne Puckett Martin.

Andaverde
Hector Andaverde, 56, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003.
Visitation was held Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home chapel. Prayer service was held that night at 7 o’clock at the same location. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jesse DeLaGarza officiating. Burial followed in Evangelico Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jesse Keller, Miguel Rosas, Johnny Pickerell, Sam Perez, Elias DeLaGarza, Fermin Meza, Eric Luna and Arnold Coronado. Honorary pallbearers were Demencio Rosas and James Andaverde.
Mr. Andaverde was born on Nov. 6, 1946, to Cruz and Lydia (Munguia) Andaverde in Vallermoso, Mexico. He married Olga Robles in Beeville and was a former oil field worker. He was a member of Monte Del Olivar Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jeffrey Andaverde.
Survivors include his wife, Olga Robles of Beeville; two sons, Hector Andaverde Jr. and Eloy Andaverde, both of Houston; three stepchildren, Jennifer Garcia and Jacob and David Villarreal, all of Victoria; two brothers, David Andaverde and wife Ramona of Corpus Christi and Daniel Luna and wife Mary Jane of San Antonio; eight sisters, Noemi Perez of Corpus Christi, Angie Gaston and husband Ron of Bay City, Irma Alvarez and husband Isidro of Yorktown and Elizabeth Dominguez, Jovita Rosas, Gloria Lopez, Melida Martinez and Elvia Longoria and husband Elizar, all of Beeville; 30 nieces and nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Robert Rendon Campos, 53, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, in Cuero Community Hospital, following a sudden illness.
Rosary was recited Monday at 7 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church at 10 a.m., with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Campos was born in Three Rivers on Dec. 18, 1949, to Erasmo Sr. and Antonia (Rendon) Campos. He resided in Pawnee and had worked for Synerg Exploration of Houston for 20 years. He was a Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Aurora Graves.
Survivors include his daughter, Christina Campos of San Antonio; his parents, Erasmo Sr. and Antonia Rendon Campos of Pawnee; six sisters, Anita Gutierrez of San Antonio, Angelina Ortiz, Adelita C. Johnson and Leticia C. Amaro, all of Victoria, Mary Garcia of Bay City and Florita Miri of Austin; three brothers, Erasmo Campos Jr. and Freddy Campos, both of Pawnee, and Reymundo Campos of Beeville.

Manuel H. Canto, 69, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003.
Mr. Canto was cremated.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1934, in Yucatan, Mexico, to Rufino and Judith (Alvarado) Canto. He resided in Corpus Christi and was married to Juanita Lopez. He had formerly worked at Warehouse Grocery as a stocker. He was a Catholic and enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita L. Canto of Corpus Christi; six children, Javier Canto and wife Tanya of Beeville, David, Joe and Juan Manuel Canto and Elma Canto, all of Corpus Christi, and Elia Canto Brito and husband Luis of Mexico; three stepchildren of San Antonio; two sisters and a half-brother of Mexico; a stepsister, Matilda Infante of Corpus Christi; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a special cousin, Jose and Rosie Alvarado of Houston.

Annie Emmaline Newton David, 96, of Victoria died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003.
Visitation was held Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services were held Monday at 11 a.m. at the same location. Special music included “Beyond the Sunset” and “Going Home.” Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were all her grandsons and nephews.
Mrs. David was born on Nov. 21, 1906, to Frank and Rachel (Cowan) Newton in Clarksville, Ark. She married William Pryor David on Jan. 29, 1935, in Edinburg. She resided in Victoria and was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Veldy Loyd David and Larry Earl David, a daughter, Lois Anita Parker, three sisters, Jessie Gilliam, Lois Lockwood and Lucille Fields, a brother, Lloyd Newton, and a grandchild, Nita Aleene Parker.
Survivors include two daughters, Dena Ann Howard and husband Gary and Vicki Becton and husband Raymond, all of Victoria; a sister, Geraldine Jamesons of Victoria; a sister-in-law, Maebelle Newton of Edinburg; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
