Mr. Yeoman
Frank Yeoman Jr., 88, of Beeville, died on Wednesday, July 4, 2007.
He was born Sept. 21, 1918, in San Antonio, to Frank and Carrie Louise Nichols Yeoman. He was retired from Coastal States Oil and was a member of Christian Worship Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hazel Martin; and one daughter, Michal Olson.
Survivors include one son, Lee F. Yeoman and wife Sandy of Splendora; one sister, Annabelle Newman of Abilene; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Angelus Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held there at 2 p.m. today (Saturday) with Rev. Walter Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Ballard
Jewel Owens Ballard, 91, of League City and formerly of Beeville, died on June 26, 2007, in League City.
She was born in Beeville on Feb. 23, 1916. She called Rockport home for most of her life. She was known to St. Peter's Church, friends and family as “the cookie lady”.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Ballard.
She is survived by two daughters, Alice Springer of Nacogdoches and Susan Scott of League City; and two grandchildren.
The date for the inurnment of her ashes has not been set.
Arrangements were entrusted to Dignity Memorial Bay Area Chapel in League City.
Mrs. DeLeon
Hermelinda Tovar DeLeon, 84, of Dinero died on Sunday, July 1, 2007.
She was born Feb. 9, 1923, in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to Ines and Elvira Lozano Tovar. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and was a homemaker. She married Francisco DeLeon on Feb. 10, 1945.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Francisco DeLeon of Dinero; two daughters, Alamar DeLeon of Houston and Angelica D. (Marcos) Rea of Beeville; three sons, Jaime (Adelaida) DeLeon of Skidmore, and Joe and Javier DeLeon, both of Dinero; two sisters, Elisa Garza and Elida Rodriguez, both of Sabinas Hidalgo, Mexico; three brothers, Efrain and Ramiro Tovar, both of Sabinas Hidalgo, Mexico, and Ruben Tovar of Monterrey, Mexico; and three grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at Angelus Funeral Home, with a rosary recited there at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Patrick Donohoe officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore.
Pallbearers were Marcos Rea, Daniel Rea, Lalo Villalon, Donicio Ganceres and Christian Pittman. Honorary pallbearer was Francisco DeLeon.

Mr. Finke
Alton Carl Finke, 82, of Beeville died on Friday, June 29, 2007.
He was born Jan. 6, 1925, in Tynan. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the VFW. He was a retired insurance agent.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Alma Chopelas Finke; and one son, Kelley Finke.
Survivors include one daughter, Karlen Person and husband John of Mathis; and two grandsons, Nick and Luke Person.
Visitation was held at 11 a.m. Monday at Dobie Funeral Home chapel, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Waldheim Cemetery in Tynan.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Cadiz Baptist Church, 604 E. Inez, Beeville, Texas 78102.

Dora Ochoa Garcia, 94, of Beeville died on Monday, July 2, 2007.
She was born Jan. 18, 1913, in Bee County, to Fulgencio and Juanita Guerra Ochoa. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker. She married Pablo S. Garcia in Beeville on June 25, 1944.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and one daughter, Dora Garcia.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary (Manny) Acepcion and Josephine G. (Wilson) Waldron, both of Beeville, Mary Martha Hulbert of Inez and Cecilia (Donald) Brubaker of Victoria; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Angelus Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church followed by interment at Beeville Memorial Park.

Mr. Gordon
Raymond “Sky” Gordon, 91, of Schertz and formerly of Beeville, died on Friday, June 29, 2007.
He was born June 18, 1916, in Round Rock to LaNora Dieder and Albert Gordon. He married Lois Emma Hunt on July 3, 1937. He was the owner and operator of Gordon Upholstery & Glass. He was also a Scoutmaster in Pawnee, deacon of First Baptist Church in Pawnee and Beeville and was a member of Woodmen of the World.
He was preceded in death by his wife; three brothers, Charlie, Verdis and Roy Gordon; and two sisters, Ruth Hoff and Ethel Benham.
He is survived by two sons, Darwin Gaile Gordon and wife Karen of Universal City and Ron Gordon and wife Cheryl of Prescott, Ariz.; four grandchildren, David, Greg, Kenneth Scott and Risa; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gib Gordon of Corpus Christi and Poly Gordon of La Pryor; and one sister, Ima Gordon of Del Rio.
Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Galloway & Sons chapel. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Homer Hanna, Greg Traylor, Janice H. Windham and Ron Gordon officiating. Special music, “Amazing Grace” and “Sweet By and By,” were provided Doug Burton, piano, and Dave Blanton, vocals. Interment was held at Pawnee Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Greg, David and Kenneth Scott Gordon, Gordon Lee Benham, Noel Windham and Jim Gordon.

Mr. Puga
Gabriel T. Puga Jr., 27, of Corpus Christi died on Monday, June 25, 2007, at his residence.
He was born on Nov. 16, 1979, in Beeville, to Gloria Treviño Puga and Gabriel Puga Sr. He was a 1999 A.C. Jones High School graduate and was employed as a sand blaster at Citgo Refinery.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother, Gloria Treviño Puga of Beeville; his wife, Elizabeth Ansaldua Puga of Corpus Christi; two sons, Gabriel Trey and Robert Edward Puga, both of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Gloria T. Puga of Austin and Roxanne P. (Jeffrey) Edgemon of Sandia; three brothers, Ignacio Treviño of Corpus Christi, Gabriel Hartstead Puga of Minnesota and Joe Anthony (Melissa) Puga of Beeville; and his maternal grandmother, Jesusa Treviño of Beeville.
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Eric Rendell Tarver officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Victory #2 Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Ashmon, Joe Anthony Puga, Ignacio Treviño, Ernest Treviño and Chief of Police Joe Richard Treviño. Honorary pallbearers will be Sabino Cruz, Lawrence Edward Benavidez and Christopher Evan Ansaldua.

Isidro G. Ramon Jr., 56, of Beeville died on Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
He was born June 26, 1951, in Beeville to Rachel Garza and Isidro Ramon Sr. He was self-employed as a truck driver. On Sept. 17, 1972, he married Sylvia Orosco in Beeville. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a Catholic.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Enrique Ramon.
Survivors in Beeville include his parents, Rachel Garza and Isidro Ramon Sr.; his wife, Sylvia Orosco Ramon; one daughter, Rachelle (Jeremy Posada) Ramon; three sons, Randy (Rosie Cano) Ramon, Rolando Lee (Christina Rivas) Ramon Sr. and Rey Isidro Ramon; one sister, Nelda Garza; three brothers, Maximo, Jose and Daniel Ramon; and six grandchildren, Artesia Ramon, Rolando Lee Ramon Jr., Roy Lee Ramon, Alicia Sylvia Posada, Jeremy Ramon Posada Jr. and Rhianna Leigh Ramon.
Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Victory Church with Rev. Flover Osorio officiating. Interment was to be held at Beeville Memorial Park with full military honors.
Pallbearers will be Maximo Ramon, Daniel Ramon, Jessie Castillo, Jeremy Posada Jr., Robert Erskins and Jesse Cardova. Honorary pallbearers will be Rolando Lee Ramon Jr., Roy Lee Ramon, Jeremy A. Posado Jr. and all nephews.

Romulo Lopez, 86, of George West died on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, in a Victoria hospital.
He was born to Juan and Maria Perez Lopez on Aug. 18, 1920, in Mexico. He was a rancher.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Maria Emma Lopez, in March 2006.
Survivors include six sons, Juan Lopez, Aurelio (Victoria) Lopez, and Alejandro (Hilaria) Lopez, all of George West, Arjelio (Francisca) Lopez of Pharr, and Homero (Adelina) Lopez and Amadeo (Dora) Lopez, both of McAllen; four daughters, Aurora (Juan) Sanchez of Tennessee, Oralia (Simon) Fuentes and Teresa (Juan) Mendoza, both of George West, and Elma (Matilde) Moreno of Beeville; three brothers, four sisters, 38 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. George Catholic Church in George West. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. George Catholic Church in George West. Interment will follow at the George West Cemetery.

Joe D. Bright, 79, of Beeville, died on Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at his residence.
He was born on Nov. 8, 1997, in Oak Grove, to Minnie Douglas Bright and Milton Fred Bright Sr. Joe was a veteran of World War II and a member of First United Methodist Church. He married Jacquiline Cartwright on Aug. 19, 1950. He owned a Real Estate and insurance company for many years in Three Rivers before selling his Insurance Company in 1995 and his Real Estate Company in 1997, and retired. He married Arnette Jackson on Nov. 8, 1997, and moved to Beeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Jacquelyn Cartwright Bright on April 14, 1993; and one brother, Milton Fred Bright Jr.
Survivors include his wife Arnette Jackson of Beeville; one daughter, Danice Bright of Austin; two sons, Ben (Connie) Bright of Smithville and Jack Bright of San Antonio; four grandchildren, Cassandra Horton and Dustin Tyler Bright, both of Austin, Barrett Evan Bright of Smithville and Cassie Lynn Bright of San Antonio; and one sister, Betty Ripley if Pittsburg.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Three Rivers. Funeral services will be held there at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bill Duke officiating. Interment will follow in the Three Rivers Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Sonny Holdridge, Harry J. Schultz Jr., Larry Custer, Gordon Benham, Harold Reynolds, and Bill Tullis.
