Brack Barnard Jones

Brack Barnard Jones, age 32, of Mound, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010, at a Waco hospital.

Private family burial followed at Davidson Cemetery. The family received visitors immediately following burial at the Heavin’s ranch house on FM 1829.
Brack Barnard Jones was born on June 29, 1978, in Temple, Texas, to Donald Lee Jones and Karen Sue Barnard Jones. Brack loved everyone, and he told them. He touched the lives of everyone he met, and he never met a stranger, they were all his “buddies.” He loved animals, especially “his” horses. He would say “I’m gonna go ride Nickel” (Bullwinkle). Always active in the conversation, Brack would ask, “What you going to do tomorrow?” or “you love me?”...”you better”…..“I love you, too.” When Brack would see a person he loved without someone they were usually with, he would ask for them, “What Kate doing?” or “Where’s Case at?” or “ Where’s your Momma?,” referring to their wife.
Nicknames were a part of Brack’s way of showing affection for his family and friends, such as “Sister, Sister; Paskett; KK; BBob; DaeDae; WaynaWayna; Bobbyholly; Honey; Wayne; and Ewitt. Rodeo was also a part of Brack’s world, and he was always ready to go. When he would see Coby, he would ask, “What time you going Rodeo?”... “I wanna go”… or “Coby, what time you gonna rope night?” He would cheer louder than any fan for his family and friends, and if they won, Brack would accept “his” prizes right with them. He sure wouldn’t let you forget it was his prize, because everything on the ranch was Brack’s...“Coby got my trailer, again.” Humor was also a part of his repertoire, he might tell you “your hair is wild,” “you stink,” “skunk in the road,” “whatever,” or “I don’t think so.” He loved hauling hay with “Honey,” and working the remote so much that he called himself a “hay hauling dude.” When riding around, Brack always wanted you to “burn out.” Brack was always loving and full of kisses and hugs, tickles and rib pokes. But if he got an answer he didn’t like you might hear, “you gonna get it” or “I’m gonna tell Sue on you.”
He loved listening to his music loud, coloring and putting together puzzles. There was no task given to Brack that he would not finish. Whether it was taking out the trash, folding laundry, vacuuming or washing the car, he loved to help and took great pride in his finished project. Brack had a strong faith and was a member of White Mound Baptist Church. Brack loved everyone, and everyone loved Brack. He will be missed, but never forgotten.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Mary Jane Coward Barnard, Sterlin James Barnard, Marva Eakin Jones and Doyle (Speedy) Jones; and uncle, Ronny Lawrence Barnard.
He is survived by his parents, Donald Lee Jones and Karen Sue Barnard Jones; brother, Coby Lee Jones and wife, Sarah Metheny Jones, and their children, Kelby Lee Jones, Case Sterlin Jones and Kate Harper Jones; aunt, Judy Jones Cullar and husband, Tony; uncles, David Barnard, Bobby Jones and wife, Holly, and Joe Jones and wife, Carol; cousins, Blayn Barnard Jackson and husband, Scott, and their children, Mitchell, Hannah and Zachary; Blayr Barnard and husband, Doug Landrum; Ron Barnard and wife, Lisa, and their children, Dalton, Bailey and Braydie; Brad Barnard and wife, Monica, and their children, Brendan, Geneva and Quintin; Stacy Jones Sinibaldi and husband, Nic, and their children, Dominic and Connor; McKenzie Jones Newman and husband, Chad; Lindsey Jones Miller and husband, Tyrell, and child, Lily; Tucker Jones; Lucas Jones; Tara Cullar Dixon and husband, Jeb, and their children, Cannon, Laney and Mattie; and Leisha Cullar Martin and husband, Heath, and child, Addison.
