Carla Gutierrez, 34, of Houston, formerly of Beeville, died on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, in Houston.
She is survived by her husband, Pablo Gutierrez of Houston; six daughters, Veronica, Crystal, Vanessa, Kaira, Kayla and Jessica Gutierrez; four sons, Pablo Jr., Rufino, Albert and Jahir Gutierrez; one sister, Victoria Cardona; two brothers, Rufino and Jose Manuel “Jody” Ojeda; and one grandchild, Haley Diane Gutierrez.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 11 a.m. at Treviño Funeral Home with Deacon Manuel Carranco officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.

Mr. Rodriguez
Ramon V. Rodriguez, 44, died on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elias and Ignacia Villarreal, and paternal grandmother, Sinforasa Rodriguez.
Survivors include his wife, Isabel Rodriguez; three sons, Ramon Elias Rodriguez, Roland Rodriguez and Roberto Rodriguez; one daughter, Victoria Rodriguez; parents, Horacio and Mary Rodriguez; his mother- and father-in-law, all of Beeville; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Monte del Olivar Church with a prayer service to be held there at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held there at 10:30 a.m. Friday with Jesse De La Garza officiating. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
Arrangements were by Trevino Funeral Home in Corpus Christi.
Mr. Lamprecht
Howard Daniel “Danny” Lamprecht, 66, of Skidmore died on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006.
He was born on Dec. 1, 1939, in Freer to Ruby Pruetz and Caesar Lamprecht. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963 and was stationed in France for two and one-half years. On Sept. 24, 1966, he married Evelyn Joyce Hanus in Beeville. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tynan. Mr. Lamprecht was a farmer and lived in Bee County since 1946.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Lamprecht of Skidmore; two sons, Christopher Michael Lamprecht of Skidmore and Darren Charles Lamprecht and wife Jamie of Elgin; one brother, Richard David Lamprecht of Beeville; and three sisters, Judith Estelle Reynolds and husband Howard of Austin, Marilyn Joyce Dial and husband Wayman of Bay City and Mary Ann Wolf of Skidmore.
Visitation was held on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tynan at 10 a.m. On Monday with Pastor William Spreen officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore.
Pallbearers were Howard Duge, Kenneth Duge, Garry Holubec, Dale Sump, Chris Wolf and Richard Wolf Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Frank Jancha, Charles Hanus, Wayman Dial, Charles Turner, Howard Reynolds and James Hanus.

Mrs. Mires
Minerva Villarreal Mires, 71, of Pawnee died on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2006, at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
She was born on June 21, 1935, in Karnes County to Antonia Escamilla and Epifanio Villarreal Sr. She married Leonard Mason Mires Sr. on Jan. 30, 1979, in Pawnee. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pawnee and was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters, Hortencia Villarreal Chapa and Olga Villarreal Leal; and one brother, Epifanio Villarreal Jr.
Survivors include Hilario Chapa III of Mineral, whom she raised as her own son; one sister, Oralia Gonzales of Pawnee; two brothers, Jose G. Villarreal of Pawnee and Dr. Roberto Villarreal of Floresville; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Rosary was recited on Monday at 7 p.m. at Eckols Funeral Home chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Peter Gajda officiating. Interment followed at De Nuestra Senora De Guadalupe Cemetery near Pawnee.
Pallbearers were Adelaido Leal Jr., Rene Villarreal, Armando Villarreal, Javier Villarreal, Carlos Chapa, Marco Villarreal, Mark Stewart and Shelby Parker.

LaVerne Sheelar, 82, of George West died at her residence Monday, Aug. 21, 2006, after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Walter; granddaughter, Tara Brown; and great-granddaughter, Rebekah Sheelar.
Survivors include two sons, John Sheelar and Troy Michael (Vicki Robinson) Sheelar of George West; two daughters, Kathy (Evard) Castor of Corpus Christi and Barbara (Jimmy) Brown of Hutto; one sister, Ornabelle Hart; two brothers, Vernon (Peggy) Notley and Glynn (Carolyn) Grimes; five grandchildren, Carrie Castor, Chris Brown, Michael, David and Aaron Sheelar; four great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and many “extra children.”
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Travis Baptist Church followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Vickery
Marvin L. Vickery, 93, of Kenedy died on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, in Shepherd.
He was born on March 20, 1913, in Green to Barbara Moses and Frank Vickery. He worked as an oil field driller and was a Baptist.
Mr. Vickery was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Zona Shaw Vickery; and three sons, Pete, Eddie and Tom Vickery.
Survivors include five sons, Damon L. Vickery of Port Lavaca, Martin Vickery and Gene Vickery, both of Beeville, J.R. Vickery of Edna and Tim Vickery of Pueblo, Colo.; 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Kenedy Cemetery with Russell Briley and Rev. John Wheat officiating.
Arrangements were by Eckols Funeral Home in Kenedy.

Estella Martinez Galvan, 73, of Beeville died on Saturday, August 12, 2006 in a local hospital after a sudden illness.
She was born on June 5, 1933, in Beeville to Lucia Cantu and Calistro Martinez.
Mrs. Galvan was preceded in death by her parents; and one nephew, Gabriel Martinez.
Survivors include her husband, Rodolfo “Rudy” Galvan Sr. of Beeville; two daughters, Sylvia G. (Balde) Campos of Kingsville and Maria Guadalupe “Lupita” (Edward) Ortega of Beeville; one son, Rudy Orlando (Carol) Galvan of Iola; one brother, Ernesto (Lucila) Martinez of Beeville; ten grandchildren, Christopher Michael Campos, Baldemar Campos Jr., Joseph Orlando Campos, Edward Paul Ortega, Rodolfo Miguel Ortega, John Matthew Ortega, Eddika Maria Ortega, Alisa Galvan Masters ,Christian Casey Galvan and Ruben Anthony Galvan; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Rufino E. Carrillo, 81, of Pettus, died on Saturday, August 12, 2006.
He was born on July 10, 1925, in Bee County to Rita Esparza and Marcelino Carrillo. He was a retired ranch worker and a Catholic.
Mr. Carrillo is survived by two sisters, Leandra Moya of Pasadena and Maria Cabazos of Pettus; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Pettus Cemetery with Deacon Luis Treviño officiating. Pallbearers were Abelino Cabazos, Esteban DeLuna and Felipe Hernandez.

Jose Eaddy Erasmo Garcia Sr., 55, of Roscoe died on Sunday, August 13, 2006, in Abilene.
He was born on June 2, 1951, in Loraine to Andrea and Cecilo Garcia. He married Herminia Abrigo on June 2, 1973, in Colorado City. Mr. Garcia coached Little League in Roscoe for 13 years and umpired for many years. He was active in the El Buen Pastor Ministries, Inc., and was co-pastor and an active member of Roscoe Worship Center. He worked in the oil field from age 17 and was a rig supervisor for Basic Energy. He loved fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Rosemary Garcia in 1976; and his father in 1974.
Survivors include his wife, Herminia Garcia of Roscoe; two sons, Jose Eddie Garcia Jr. and wife Jessica of Jacksonville, N.C., and Jason Lee Garcia of Roscoe; one daughter, JoAnn Garcia and fiancé Alex Gonzalez of Roscoe; his mother, Andrea Garcia of Loraine; four brothers, Elizor Garcia of Normanna, Manuel Garcia and Cecilo Garcia Jr. both of Loraine, and Pedro Garcia of Sweetwater; seven sisters, Erminia Maya of Corpus Christi, Maria Elena Pena of Kenedy, Teresa Pena of Loraine, Pauline Pena of Sweetwater, Carmen Garcia and Felipa Silos both of Waxahachie, and Anita Guzman of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Amber Adames, Christopher Jacob Adames Jr., Seth Andrew Garcia and Diego Gonzales; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Prayer service was held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home. Funeral services were to be held there today (Wednesday) at 7 p.m. Pallbearers were Jason Garcia, Jose Eaddie Garcia, Cecilo Garcia, Pete Garcia Jr., Andrew Garcia and Remigio Orozco. Honorary pallbearers were Orlando Garcia and Rene Garcia.
Arrangements were by McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
