Mr. DeLaCruz
Joe M. DeLaCruz, 61, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. He was from Haskell.
Visitation was held on Dec. 19 at the Holden-McCauley Funeral Home. Services were held Dec. 20 at the Assembly of God Church in Haskell, with interment following at Willow Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by Norma Hatley in 1995, and his grandparents, Brijido and Rosa DeLaCruz.
Survivors include his wife, Tomasita of Haskell; four sons, Joe and Crystal DeLaCruz of Haskell, Richard and Mindy DeLaCruz of Knox City, Robert and Rosie DeLaCruz of Pryor, Okla., and Albert DeLaCruz of Haskell; two daughters, Sandy Guzman of Salina, Okla., Velma and husband Ronald Bendabout of Salina, Okla.; a sister, Rosa Rosas; three brothers, Brijido DeLaCruz, Jr., Manuel DeLaCruz and Arthur DeLaCruz; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of Holden-McCauley Funeral Home of Haskell.
Mrs. Gregorcyk
Cecilia Frances (McKinney) Gregorcyk, 93, died on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, in George West. She was a lifelong resident of Live Oak County. Aside from being a homemaker and a resident of George West, she was a member of the St. George Catholic Church in George West and the St. George Altar Society.
Mrs. Gregorcyk was born on Oct. 2, 1912, in Mikeska, Live Oak County, to the late Ellen “Nellie” Dolan and William Dewitt “Dee” McKinney.
She married William “Bill” Gregorcyk in Live Oak County in 1929.
Visitation was held on Thursday from 5-9 p.m. at the Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the same location. The funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church in George West with Father Joseph Olikkara officiating. Special music included Barbara Bednorz on the organ and songs “On Eagles Wings,” “Be Not Afraid” and “Amazing Grace.” Burial followed at the Gussettville Cemetery in Gussettville.
Pallbearers were John Ed James, Lonnie Joe Gregorcyk, Mike Troell, Ted Troell, Jim Rosebrock, Dee Rosebrock, Guy Lindholm and Joseph Snider.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Mac Dee McKinney; sisters, Laura Dickenson and Myrtle Rosebrock; parents; and husband, William “Bill” Gregorcyk.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Troell of Oakville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gustafson
Jane Revard Gustafson, 79, former Beeville postmaster, died on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006.
She was born March 27, 1926, in San Antonio, was a descendent of the Dillard family of Texas and the Revard family of Oklahoma, and the daughter of Ruth Dillard Williams and McGuire N. Revard, all of whom preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Revard, and sister, Olla Mae Revard.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Gustafson, her sister, Annie Meckay, and brother, Frank Williams. Also, she is survived by her children, Victor L. Scullawl Jr. and wife Evelyn of Bartlesville, Okla., Lucinda L. Jimison and husband David of Cleveland, Okla., and Phillip Dean Scullawl and wife Marlesha of Bentonville, Ark.; grandchildren, Christa, John, Matthew, Sheila, Kimberly, Riki, Tarrin, Chelsea, Keira, and Whitney; six great-grandchildren; one aunt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, was an LPN nurse at Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville, Okla., was the postmaster of Ochelata and Binger, Okla., before coming to Texas in 1980 where she was the postmaster of Port Lavaca and Beeville. She was active in numerous organizations in Beeville and received many honors while postmaster there.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at John Calvin Presbyterian Church, 8102 Midcrown Dr., San Antonio, Texas Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
Mr. Phillips
Funeral services for Antonia Hidalgo Phillips, 78, of Beeville were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel in Angleton. Burial followed in the Angleton Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at Palms.
Mrs. Phillips died Friday, Jan. 6, 2006, in Angleton. She was born April 12, 1927, in Motril, Spain, to Joaquin and Anna Hidalgo Martin. Her parents; son-in-law, Roy Pena; and grandson, Joel A. Phillips, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Jack L Phillips; sons, Jose and Juani Phillips of Cartagena, Spain, Juan and Elsa Phillips of Angleton, Paquito and Elena Phillips of Cartagena, Spain, and Charles and Norma Phillips of Oak Grove, Ky.; daughters, Benito and Maricarmen Brionez of Cartagena, Spain, and Roy and Maria Pena of Angleton; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were J.T. Pena, Jonathon Pena, Jason Phillips, Miguel Brionez Hildago, Salvador Brionez Hildago and Paco F. Phillips.

Mr. Wroten
Thomas W. “Tommy” Wroten, 86, died on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006. He resided in Beeville and was the owner of Schulz and Wroten Pharmacy.
Visitation was held on Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with family present from 5-8 p.m. at the Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville. The funeral service will be held on Saturday (today) at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Beeville with the Rev. Greg Traylor officiating. Burial will follow on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale.
Active pallbearers will be Matt Cline, Chris Cline, William Newsom, Lee Lansford, Amy Newsom, Tim Fitch, John Fish and Gary Jones.
Mr. Wroten was born on Dec. 12, 1919, to the late Ada Eudora Watters and George Marshall Wroten in Shongaloo, La. He was educated for 16 years and served in the military during World War II (B-26 9th Air Force). On Oct. 10, 1942, he married Mary Beth Franke in San Antonio.
Mr. Wroten was a member of the First Baptist Church in Beeville and the past president of Beeville Rotary Club, Beeville Pony League, Bee County Chamber of Commerce and the Beeville Quarterback Club. He was also a member of the United Way Board, Beeville Independent School District board of trustees, American Field Service Foreign Exchange Program and Mardi Gras king.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Franke Wroten of Beeville; two daughters, Beth W. Newsom and husband Bill, and Judy W. Cline and husband Larry, both of Beeville; four grandchildren, William Wroten Newsom, Christopher Joseph Cline, Thomas Matthew Cline and Amy Elizabeth Newsom; two brothers, Wiley and Emmett Wroten, both of Baton Rouge, La.; and one sister, Lorene Price of Baton Rouge, La.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Beeville, South Texas Children’s Home and Beeville Volunteer Fire Department.

Anzaldua
Heather Harris Anzaldua, 50, died on Monday, Feb. 6, 2006. She was a Goliad resident.
Mrs. Anzaldua was born in Brockton, Mass., on Aug. 21, 1955, to the late Ramona Peterson and Henry Temple. She worked as a social worker for the Department of Social Services.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ramona Peterson.
Survivors include her husband, Timmie G. Anzaldua of Refugio; father, Henry Temple of Baltimore, Md.; daughters, April L. Duncan of Charlotte, N.C., Tiffany Anzaldua of Dallas and Amanda Anzaldua of Refugio; son, Timothy Ryan Meserve of Beeville; sister, Melissa Temple of Baltimore, Md.; brother, Scott Harris of Baltimore, Md.; and six grandchildren.
No services have been scheduled.

Daniel Dominguez, 73, died on Friday, Feb. 3, 2006.
Visitation was held Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A prayer service was held on the same day and at the same location at 7 p.m. A funeral service was held on Monday at 10 a.m. at El Buen Pastor Baptist Church with Pastor Isaac Torres and Richard Carrera officiating. Burial followed at Cemeterio Evangelico.
Active pallbearers were Juan Daniel Dominguez, Roger Dominguez, Jose L. Dominguez, Abel Garcia, Christopher L. Aguilar, Joe Anthony Aguilar, Roger Philip Dominguez and Jose D. Aguilar.
Mr. Dominguez was born in Cadiz community on July 21, 1932, to the late Lucia Duran and Fabian Dominguez. He resided in Beeville and was a member of El Buen Pastor Baptist Church, where he was also a Sunday school teacher. Mr. Dominguez worked for Arrow Pipeline/construction, and he retired as maintenance worker for the First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Julia G. Olivares.
Survivors include his wife, San Juanita G. Dominguez of Beeville; sons, Juan Daniel Dominguez and wife Elisa of George West, Roger Dominguez and wife Irene of Beeville, Jose L. Dominguez and wife Esther of Beeville; daughter, Maria D. Aguilar and husband Jose of Beeville; brothers, Jose Dominguez of California, Fabian Dominguez Jr. of Port Lavaca and David Dominguez of Florida; eight grandchildren, Christopher Lee and Joe Anthony Aguilar, Roger Philip, Kathy, Elizabeth and Anyssa Dominguez, Kelly Moreno Taylor and Jessica Lichtonberger; two great-grandchildren, Christian Jacob Aguilar and Ayden Jayce Aguilar; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Mr. Estrada
David Estrada, 70, died on Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, in Beeville. He was a Beeville resident.
A rosary is to be recited today (Wednesday) at 7 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, with Father Luke officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery No. 2.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Joe Estrada, Gilbert Estrada, Joe Raymond Estrada, Ruben Torres, James Estrada and Michael Estrada.
Mr. Estrada was a Catholic and a ranch hand for the Jones Ranch. He was born in Rio Grande City on June 11, 1935, to the late Maclovia Duenes and Ramon Estrada.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one sister, Eva (Amalio) Chavarria of Beeville; three brothers, Eduardo Estrada of Gonzales and Adan and Ernesto Estrada, both of Beeville; and his nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Morrill
Sallie K. (Cherry) Morrill, 89, died on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006.
Visitation was held on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Chapel. A funeral service was held on Monday at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Mark Spence officiating. Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were George Poe Morrill III, Brian Curtis, Jason Morrill, Andrew Morrill, Augustine Acuna, Kenneth G. McClintock, Alex W. Kibler and E.R. (Bob) Spielhagen. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Grady C. (Sam) Hogue, Dick Scott IV and William Justin Morrill.
Mrs. Morrill was born in Normanna on July 12, 1916, to the late Mina Swan and Irl F. Cherry. She was married to George Poe Morrill in Beeville on May 15, 1939. She resided in Beeville as a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include three sons, George Poe (Sally) Morrill II of Beeville, Frank Swan (Deborah Hein) Morrill of San Antonio and William Irl (N.S. Freddie) Morrill of Verdi, Nev.; one daughter, Sallie Cherry Morrill Bancroft of Bend, Ore.; eight grandchildren, George Poe (Jessica) Morrill III of Houston, Meredith Katherine Morrill of Dallas, Kristin Cherry (Augustine) Acuna of Petaluma, Calif., Courtney Yount (Brian) Curtis of Golden, Colo., Jason Frank Morrill of Redmond, Wash., Andrew Charles Morrill of San Antonio and Meghann Keely Morrill and William Justin Morrill, both of Verdi, Nev.; and two great-grandchildren, Augustine Guillermo Acuna III and Cammy Sarah Katherine Curtis.
