Bell
Allen Harrison Bell, 78, of Three Rivers died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005. A graveside service was held Tuesday, Dec. 13, at noon at the Mineral Cemetery in Mineral.
Mr. Bell was born March 15, 1927, in Yakima, Wash., to Alluvion L. and Ada (Davis) Bell. He was a WWII veteran and served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-45 and was a self-employed contractor. He enjoyed golfing and hunting.
Survivors include two sons, Gary (Sandy) Bell of Bend, Ore. and Roger (Roxanne) Bell of Ontario,  Calif.; three daughters, Sharyn (John) Vasquez of Austin, Janet (Dennis) Herron and Nancy (Jim) McCoy, all of Longview, Wash.; 10 grandchildren, Jason, Devin, Chantel, Johhna, Jess, Brayden, McKenna, Whitney,  Taylor and Kristyn; six great-grandchildren, Hayden, Hudsyn, Hadlee, Rylee, Mallory and Kiana; and two sisters, Carolyn Bell-Shrader of Arroyo Grande,  Calif., and Catherine Bell-Feeder of Issaquah, Wash.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Coody
Earl R. Coody, 59, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005.
Visitation was held Sunday from 3 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Monday at 11 a.m. at the same location with the Rev. Ben Drewry officiating. Special music included “If Tomorrow Never Comes,” “Daddy’s Hands,” “The Dance” and “Go Rest High on That Mountain. “ Burial followed in Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Ty Sparks, Scotty Edwards Jr., Tim Brasher, Justin McCord, Trent Brinkoeter and Pat Dottie.
Mr. Coody was born in Dimmitt on March 15, 1946, to Howard and Dessie (Brooks) Coody. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Frankie Bowen on March 20, 1975, in Las Vegas, Nev. Mr. Coody was self-employed and owned an oilfield chemical company. He enjoyed having coffee at My Country Kitchen and playing cards at the 19th Hole.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Johnny Coody.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Frankie Bowen Coody of Beeville; a son, Sheldon Coody and wife Heather of Beeville; five daughters, Renee Coody of N.C., Kim Crawford of Three Rivers, April Rodriguez and husband Rodney of Beeville, April Coody of Kentucky and Jennifer Coltharp of San Antonio; 18 grandchildren; and his siblings, Fern Gilland of Denton, Dwayne Coody and wife Jean of Hereford, Charlie Coody and wife Cindy of Victoria, Donna McIntosh and husband Sonny of Dumas and Mary Garity and husband Mike of Hart; and his best friend of many years, C.B. Trial and Janet of Beeville.

Ellisor
Alma Leen (Musick) Ellisor, 84, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005.
She was born to James Lafayette and Lela Pearl Baker Musick on Oct. 11, 1921, in Grapeland.
She married Luther Edward Ellisor on Oct. 29, 1938, in Grapeland. She resided in Tuleta and was a member of the First Baptist Church there.
Mrs. Ellisor was preceded in death by her parents, husband and five brothers.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy Marie Ellisor of Refugio, Patricia Ann Gruy and husband Viggo K. of Beeville and Janie Boscamp of Fort Worth; three sons, John Edward Ellisor and wife Alma Pearl of La Pryor, James Michael Ellisor and wife Nelda Louise of Victoria and Donald Wayne Ellisor of Weesatche; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Medwin Musick and Charles Musick; and her sisters, Ruth Bunyard, Verzona Pearl Dial and Caroline Platt.
Visitation will take place tonight (Wednesday) from 5 to 7 o’clock at Galloway and Sons funeral home chapel. Funeral services will take place Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the same location with Jack Allen officiating. Special music will be provided by organist Ann Oliver and singer Geraldine Suffel. Burial will follow in the Mineral Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Hathaway, Jim Ellisor, Bradley Myers, Douglas Ellisor, Don Ellisor and Billy Wayne Swinney. Honorary pallbearers will be the congregation of the First Baptist Church of Tuleta.

Ginn
Rosabelle (Calliham) Ginn, 97, of Tuleta died Monday, Dec. 12, 2005. Visitation is being held at Galloway & Sons Chapel in Three Rivers today (Wednesday) until 2 p.m. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. at the chapel with the Rev. Weldon Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Calliham Cemetery in Calliham.
Pallbearers will be Cary Lloyd Semar, Roy Floyd Semar, Clyde Semar, Dale Lee Semar, Jay Harris and Brian Crumrine.
Honorary pallbearer will be Rodney Crumrine.
Mrs. Ginn was born June 7, 1908, in Tilden to Harry Thomas and Daulcy Jane (Bates) Calliham. She married Roy Crumrine in 1924 in Aransas Pass. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tuleta and worked as an LVN in South  Texas hospitals and nursing homes for numerous years.
Survivors include two daughters, Rosalie Semar of Tuleta and Trevia Harris of El Campo; a daughter-in-law, Patsy Crumrine of Aransas Pass; a sister-in-law, Unabelle Calliham of Calliham; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ginn was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Roy Crumrine and J.D. Ginn; a sister, Georgia Bedwell; a brother, Dave Calliham; two sons, Glennie Crumrine and R.D. Crumrine; and a great-granddaughter, Emily Semar.

Greenup
Eric Matthew Greenup, 15, of Alice died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005. He was born April 1, 1990, in Corpus Christi. He was a sophomore at Alice High School where he played in the band and was a member of the varsity tennis team. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Church and CCD and served as an altar boy during his years at St. Elizabeth School.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
Survivors include his mother, Kathy Greenup of Alice; his father, Terry Greenup of Beeville; two sisters, Amanda of College Station and Danielle of Alice; his grandparents, his paternal great-grandmother and many aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Visitation was scheduled from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday (today) at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel in Alice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Church, with interment following at Roselawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Elizabeth School. Arrangements were handled through Holmgreen Mortuary Inc., Alice.

Rousseau
Susan Ann Hembree Rousseau, 35, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005. She formerly resided in Beeville and graduated from A.C.  Jones High School.
She was an employee at L-3 Vertex Aerospace at Naval Air Station Kingsville.
Survivors include a son, Andrew Alden Rousseau of Kingsville; a sister, Juanita Jeanette Mangum of San Antonio; two brothers, Jeffery Burnip of  Texas and Robert Glenn Burnip of San Antonio; and her grandmother, Faye Hembree of Georgia.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary . Burial was at 11 a.m. Monday at Duncan Cemetery, Corpus Christi.
Arrangements were handled through Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, Corpus Christi.

Downes
Neal Franklin Downes, 68, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, in his home in Beeville.
Visitation was scheduled Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral service was to be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Beeville with the Rev. Greg Traylor officiating. Organ-ist Doug Burton and singer Naida Davis will perform “Amazing Grace,” “Rock of Ages” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Mr. Downes’ nephews.
He was born March 25, 1937, in Charlotte to Minnie E. Neal and Thomas W. Downes. He held a number of jobs around Beeville and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one sister, Loretta (Gerald) Fryer of Grand Saline; three brothers, Clifton Downes of Arizona, Garvin (Camilla) Downes of Copperas Cove and Dale (Mary) Downes of Beeville; an aunt, Bessie Harris of Beeville; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Medina
Juanita Silvas Medina, 84, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005.
Visitation was scheduled Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited Friday at 7:30 p.m. at that chapel. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Eddie Garcia officiating. Burial will follow in OLV Cemetery No. 2.
Pallbearers will be David Morales, Johnny Rincon, Joe Escalante, Marcus Varra, Ramiro Tapia, Rolando Tapia, Richard Tapia, Tony Mendoza Jr., Mikie Vega and Shawn Harris.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ruben Silvas, Manuel Rincon, Ryan Vara, Jacob Trevino, Christian J. Dillard, Arturo Gonzales, Ray Rincon, Joey Flores, Javier Flores, Joe Ramirez, Johnny Ramirez, Paul Sepeda and Leonard Ramon.
Mrs. Medina was born Dec. 1, 1921, in Berclair to Adela Figueroa and Victor Silvas.
She married Ramiro G. Medina at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Beeville. She resided here and was a member of the American G.I. Forum.
Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1980. She also was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Josephine Mendoza; brothers, Ignacio and David Silvas; a son-in-law, Richard M. Tapia; and two great-granddaughters, Katarina Bella Tapia and Alexandra Victoria Mendoza.
She is survived by two daughters, San Juanita Tapia of Beeville and Zelma (Eric) Vara of Round Rock; one son, Victor S. Medina of Corpus Christi; a son-in-law, Tony Mendoza of Beeville; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Venina Ramirez and Guadalupe Gonzales of Beeville and Siria Sepeda of Austin; and her caretaker, Hazael Bernal of Beeville.

Gamez
Mrs. Eva Lopez Gamez, 92, died on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, in a local hospital after a short illness.
Mrs. Gamez was born on Sept. 5, 1913, in the Clareville community to the late Vicente Lopez and Maria Torrez Lopez. She married Ramon Hernandez Gamez on Aug. 12, 1935, in Beeville. They were married for 62 years until his death. Mr. and Mrs. Ramon H. Gamez bought City Cleaners in 1952 and operated the business until Norberto and Gloria Garcia took over and ran the business until 2002, when the doors closed for the last time.
Mrs. Gamez was a member of the Guadalupanas at St. James Catholic Church and a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Theresa Gamez, three sisters and six brothers.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Victory Church. Father Luke and Father Pat Donohoe will officiate. Burial will follow in the Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Vilo Gonzales, Frank Mendez, Dickie Lopez, Jose Salvador Lopez, G.R. Treviño and Juan Gamez.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Elma Gloria Gamez and Norberto Garcia of Beeville, and one granddaughter, Theresa “Terri” Garcia of Sugar Land.

Kraber
Richard “Dick” Edward Kraber, 82, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. Don  Taylor officiating. Special music will include “Rock of Ages” and “In the Garden.”
Mr. Kraber was born in York, Pa., on March 12, 1923, to Maude Rice and Phillip A. Kraber. After high school, he joined the United States Marines. He married his wife, Becky, on May 23, 1944, in Santa Monica,  Calif. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, the Lions Club in York, Pa., and was a Sunday school superintendent at Mount Zion in York, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Kraber of Normanna; a daughter, Sonja Kraber of Normanna; a son, Gary Kraber and wife Nancy of Rescue,  Calif.; a grandchild, Kimberly Kraber of Woodland,  Calif.; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Mandy Kraber of Woodland,  Calif.; and numerous cousins and other family members.
