Maria Arguijo cantu, age 67, of Pleasanton, Texas, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2004, in Jourdanton, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Octaivano Cantu of Pleasanton; daughters, Domingo Dillard and husband Frank, Nancy Cantu, Susie Talamantez and husband Orlando all of Pleasanton and sons, Andy Cantu, Billy Cantu and David Cantu all of Pleasanton. She is also survived by her sisters, Amadora Villanueva and husband Martin and Janie Arguijo and husband Antonio both of Pleasanton as well as four grandchildren. Visitation will be held at St. Andrew's Hall in Pleasanton from 2:00pm to 9:00pm, including a rosary at 7:00pm Tuesday, April 6, 2004. The funeral service will be at St. Andrew's Hall at 2:00pm Wednesday, April 7, 2004. Interment will be at St. Luke's Cemetery in Loire, Texas.

Jimmie Inez (Smith) James, age 86, of Pleasanton, Texas, passed away Monday, April 5, 2004, in Jourdanton, Texas. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Nelda Royal Baylor; brother-in-law, Earl Royal as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton from 2:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday, April 6, 2004. A graveside service will be held at Mission Burial Park in San Antonio on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at 11:00am.

Ellen Christina (Melby) Dahlquiat, age 92, of Devine, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2004, in San Antonio, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Ole Melby and the late Ella (Anderson) Melby. A graveside service will be held at the Bexar Cemetery near Somerst at Noon Friday, April 9, 2004.

Catalina (Sambrano) Gonzales, age 89, of Charlotte, Texas passed away Sunday, April 11, 2004, in Pleasanton, Texas. She is survived by her son, Robert Gonzales and wife Mary Helen of Charlotte. She is also survived by her sisters and brother, Ramona Sambrano of Houston, Bella Leal and Chon Sambrano both of Alvin as well as five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Charlotte at 10:00am Wednesday, April 14, 2004. Interment will be at Charlotte Mexican Cemetery in Charlotte, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Cruz of Jourdanton and daughter, Stella Morales of Jourdanton. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Eva Garza of San Antonio, Alicia Hernandez of San Antonio, Linda Trevino of Corpus Christi, Stella Cruz of San Antonio, Mary Hanson of Rancho Cordova, California, Rosie Figueroa of Pleasanton, Ed Cruz of Jourdanton, Flavio "Clyde" Cruz of Charlotte and Alex Cruz of Devine as well as one granddaughter, Ariana Foster. He is survived by his wife, Natalia Collins of Pleasanton; daughters, Elizabeth Neill Johnson and husband Johnny of Spring Branch, Scheran Elaine Everett and husband Kenneth of Jourdanton; step-daughters, Kittie Miller of Andrews, Margie Cruz of Alburquerque, New Mexico, Tammie Mendoza of De Leon, Janie Waddell of Pennsylvania, Barbara Aguero of Pleasanton; sons, Danny Collins of Pleasanton, Gary Dwayne Collins and wife Linda of Jourdanton and step-son Thomas Bosquez of California. He is also survived by his sister and brother, Karie Leona Glover of Yoakum and M. J. Collins of Pleasanton as well as six grandchildren, twenty-one step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild and five step-great grandchildren. He is also survived by her sisters, Sophie Ramirez of Jourdanton, Margarita Garza, Mary Ann Brill and Lucy Hernandez all of Pleasanton as well as twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton from 2:00pm to 9:00pm, including a rosary at 7:30pm Friday, August 6, 2004. The funeral will be at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Jourdanton at 10:00am Saturday, August 7, 2004. Interment will be at St. Andrews #2 in Pleasanton, Texas.

He is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Teresa Richmondand Alicia Guerrero both of Levelland, Adela Dominguez of Charlotte, Rosita Lopez of Jourdanton, Robert Gaitan of Dublin, Ricky Gaitan and Jose Gaitan and Michael Gaitan all of Charlotte as well as five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Charlotte from 3:00pm to 9:00pm, including a wake at 7:30pm Friday, August 6, 2004. The funeral service will be at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton at 11:00am Saturday, August 7, 2004. Interment will be at Charlotte Mexican Cemetery in Charlotte, Texas.
