ATLANTA, Texas - Nellie Cooper Baity, 65, of Atlanta died Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Baity was born March 27, 1938, in Marietta, Texas. She was a housekeeper and a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Survivors include one brother, Willie Joe Cooper of Chicago; one uncle, Jessie Cooper of Commerce, Texas; three nieces, Erica Fay Cooper of Milwaukee, Wis., and Wanda Houston and Mable Jean Houston of Commerce; three nephews, Rayden Cooper of Chicago and Sammy Houston and John L. Houston of Commerce; and one special friend, Earnest Watson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Christopher Collins officiating. Burial will be in Floyd Valley Cemetery, Marietta, under direction of Coleman - Atlanta Funeral Home.

Eda Ruth Sheets, 80, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Sheets was born March 22, 1923, in Chicago. She was a homemaker, a Baptist and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Sheets, in 1974.
Survivors include one son, Bill Ellefson of Texarkana; three daughters and one son - in - law, Verna and Wayne Davenport, Susan Sims Horn and Donna Shirley Menah of Texarkana; seven grandchildren; and seven great - grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Tim Reed officiating. Burial will be under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of Donna Shirley Menah, 6720 W. Seventh, Texarkana, Texas.

Betty Jo Davis, 76, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Davis was born Sept. 7, 1927, in Blytheville, Ark. She was retired owner and operator of Betty's Lakeside Deli Grocery Store.
Survivors include four sons, Grady Flanigan of Texarkana, Jerry W. Flanigan of Utah; Terry J. Flanigan of Cloud Croft, N.M., and David Davis of San Diego; one daughter, Betty Sue Davis of Milwaukee, Wis.; and one sister, Sue Gada of Dyersburg, Tenn.
Arrangements are under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.

ATLANTA, Texas - Lloyd King, 85, of Atlanta died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, in Atlanta.
Mr. King was born April 19, 1918, in Izard County, Ark. He was a retired water/sewer supervisor for the City of Atlanta and a member of Open Door Baptist Church, Queen City, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Blalock King of Atlanta; two sons and daughters - in - law, Larry and Yvonne King of Atlanta and Lloyd D. and Jan King of Mooringsport, La.; one daughter, Emily Sue Kemp of Nederland, Texas; and one sister, Ethel Ainsworth of Mauriceville, Texas.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Gum Springs Cemetery, Harrison County, Texas, with the Rev. Dennis Gibbons officiating. Burial will be under direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

CLARKSVILLE, Texas - Juanita Westbrook, 80, of Clarksville died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Westbrook was born Oct. 13, 1923, in Red River County, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of New Haven Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Westbrook.
Survivors include one son and daughter - in - law, Jerry and Rita Westbrook of Clarksville; one daughter and son - in - law, Janie and Rollie Bohall of Katy, Texas; her mother, Frances Knowles of Clarksville; two sisters, Betty Ezell of Burleson, Texas, and Mary Jo Martin of Plano, Texas; one brother, Reo Knowles of Dallas; five grandchildren; and three great - grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Clarksville Funeral Home Lindeman Chapel with the Revs. James Hinkle and A.B. Kellam officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Kathryn Denmon Barrington of Atlanta, one son, Marty Barrington and his wife Sharon; three daughters, Elaine Sena and husband Mark, Anita Jackson, Karen Maxam all of the Dallas area; one brother, Vernon Barrington and special friend Nadine Day of Avinger; 12 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. Mr. Barrington was born on October 21, 1922 in Doddridge, Arkansas. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Grand Saline, Texas. Mrs. Green was born near Daingerfield, Texas and passed away at her home in Shreveport on May 23, 2004. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Shreveport. Her passing followed a very long illness.
She was the first born of Andy Bell and Mattie Lou (Davis) Hampton. She was born on March 26, 1915.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Ernest Hughes, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
She is survived by her husband, Lee M. Green of the home; children, Ina Faye Hayes, Omaha, Tx., Glenn A. Hughes, Redwater, Tx., Carolyn M. McAlister, Houston, Tx., Rev. Lucille was a homemaker all of her life, in addition for a few years worked in a factory in Atlanta, Texas. She and her first husband were married in December, 1936.
Her school was obtained in the public schools of Morris County, Texas. She loved all of her extended family and friends, She never spoke a derogatory word of anyone her entire life. Heaven is more richly blessed by her presence.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Carter J. Boyd who was her primary care doctor for 16 years all of the years she lived in the Shreveport Metro Area. To the doctors, nurses, technicians, therapists, and other members of the hospitals staff who made her life a little easier during her illnesses.
Pallbearers will be great grandsons.
