CLARKSVILLE, Texas - Carl Edward Bean, 89, of Clarksville, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, in a Paris, Texas, hospital.
Mr. Bean was born March 12, 1915, in Batesville Community, Red River County, Texas. He was the owner of Carl Bean Motors, a member of Clarksville First Baptist Church and a World War II Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel DeLoyce Bean.
Survivors include three sons, David Bean and Alan Bean of Clarksville and Gary Bean of Albuquerque, N.M.; one daughter, Marinell Smith of Dripping Springs, Texas; one sister, Verna Huneke of Lubbock, Texas; one brother, James Howard Bean of Lewisville, Texas; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. today at Clarksville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Gossett officiating. Burial will be in Aikin Grove Cemetery under direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas - Allester Small, 75, of Hughes Springs, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, in a Longview, Texas, hospital.
Mr. Small was born Oct. 11, 1928, in Columbia, S.C. He was retired from the Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Anna "Kelly" Small of Hughes Springs; one stepson, Richard D. LaRiviere; two brothers, J.D. Small of San Diego and William Small of Shallotte, N.C.; four sisters, Betty Hackler, Lila Craven, Linda Kingston and Faye Norton of Laurinburg, N.C.; five grandchildren; six great - grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Reeder - Davis Funeral Home.
VIOLA KYLES
Viola McBride Kyles, 77, of Texarkana died Thursday, June 10, 2004.
Mrs. Kyles was born May 16, 1927, in Hedley, Texas. She was retired from Day & Zimmermann.
Survivors include five daughters, Clydie Scarbrough of Mesquite, Texas, Patricia Chapman and Lena Thompson of Lewisville, Texas, Cerland Bambrough of Texarkana and Sandra Patton of Saratoga, Ark.; two sons, Timothy Smith and Garvey Fricks of Texarkana; and two brothers, Willard "Mac" McBride and Dude Fryer of Jasper, Texas.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Texarkana Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
JIMMIE BOYKIN
HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas - Jimmie Boykin, 73, of Avinger, Texas, died Thursday, June 10, 2004, in a Longview, Texas, hospital.
Mr. Boykin was born June 30, 1930, in Riderwood, Ala. He was a home builder, a Baptist, member of Garden Oak Masonic Lodge 1306, Houston, and Avinger Lodge and a Korean War Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Boykin.
Survivors include his wife, Fay Boykin of Avinger; and one grandson, Jason Boykin of Avinger.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Veal Switch Cemetery with the Rev. Mickey Rorex officiating. Burial will be under direction of Reeder - Davis Funeral Home.
The body may be viewed today and visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

William Wilson Gleboff Sr., 76, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, June 10, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Gleboff was born Feb. 28, 1928, in Dallas. He was co - owner of G&M Line Constructors Inc., retired from Trinity Utility Service, former employee of L.E. Myers Co., a Texarkana Historical Museum board member, a member of Dallas Gun Club and Sigma Chi Fraternity and an Eagle Scout.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Clark Gleboff; three daughters and sons - in - law, Patricia G. and Aman Memon of Dallas, Barbara G. and Basil Privett of Keller, Texas, and Ann G. and Chad Frazier of McKinney, Texas; two sons and one daughter - in - law, John W. and Jane Gleboff of Arlington, Texas, and William W. Gleboff Jr. of Baton Rouge, La.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Texarkana Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Freddie W. Palmer, 92, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Palmer was born Feb. 27, 1912, in Texarkana. He was co - owner of Palmers Meat and Grocery Market, a member of Northwood Presbyterian Church and American Legion and an Army veteran.
Survivors include one sister - in - law, Charlene Palmer; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Richard Gilmer officiating. Burial will be under direction of East Funeral Home, Moores Lane.

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas - Truman M. Nix, 69, of Brownwood, Texas, died Monday, June 7, 2004.
Mr. Nix was born July 11, 1934, in Daingerfield, Texas. He was an electrician, boxer, owner of Nix Ford Tractor Dealership and retired owner of Truman Nix Chrysler Dealership. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillie L. Nix.
Survivors include his wife, Olga Nix of Brownwood; one son, Alan Nix of Gatesville, Texas; two daughters, Mandy Edwards of Brownwood, Texas, and Lana Wright of Weatherford, Texas; three brothers, Billy Gene Nix of Daingerfield, Tim Nix of Beaumont, Texas, and W.C. "Dub" Nix of Tioga, Texas; seven grandchildren; two great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
