Evelyn Williams, 71, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, June 23, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Williams was born Feb. 9, 1933, in Cambridge, Miss. She was a homemaker and a member of Eylau Christian Church. She was preceded in death by one son, Doyle "Danny" Williams Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Doyle Williams of Texarkana; three brothers, Bobby Brashear and Charles Jackson of Clyde, Texas, and Albert Brashear of Santa Anna, Texas; four sisters, Nita Foreman of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas, Barbara Masey and Norma Duke of Odessa, Texas, and Jerrie Casey of New Orleans; four grandchildren; three great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with Carl Teel officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at their home on Inwood Road.
GEORGE ABBIT
George Earvin Abbit, infant son of Takary Wright and Lashondra Abbit of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, June 18, 2004, in a local hospital.
George was born Friday, June 18, 2004, in Texarkana.
Other survivors include two brothers, SaVaughn Abbit and Nicholas Abbit of Texarkana; four sisters, Santana Steger, Kiara Stanley, Tiara Stanley and Shawnita Wright of Texarkana; his grandparents, Brenda and Robert Woolridge and Johnny Martin of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Chapelwood Babyland Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Johnny Nard officiating. Burial will be under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
BILLIE AINSWORTH
NEW BOSTON, Texas - Billie Joe Ainsworth, 71, of New Boston died Wednesday, June 23, 2004, in a Shreveport, La., hospital.
Mr. Ainsworth born May 22, 1933, in Laurel, Miss. He was retired from Masonite Corp., member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion, where he was commander of Post 488, and an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ann Ainsworth of New Boston; three daughters, Patty Hanks of Ashdown, Ark., Debbie Van Fossen of Laurel and Donna Blankenship of Mississippi; two sons, Jerry Billingsley of Foreman, Ark., and Odell Ainsworth of Mississippi; two brothers, Kenneth Ainsworth of Crowley, Texas, and Charles Ainsworth of Mississippi; two sisters, Willie Lee Dowler of Florida and Ruth Ashley of Mississippi; 11 grandchildren; and one great - grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at New Boston American Legion Hall with the Rev. Thomas Zachary officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Marvin Cemetery, Foreman, under direction of Bates - Rolf Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

MARIE STARRETT
Gladys Marie Starrett, 82, of Hooks, Texas, died Thursday, June 24, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Starrett was born Feb. 22, 1922, in Linden, Texas. She was a homemaker, a retired private duty nurse's aide and a member of Leary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Ervin Starrett; and two sons, Alvis Ray Starrett and Granvell Ervin Starrett.
Survivors include five sons, Elmer R. Starrett Jr., Glynn E. Starrett and Leon Starrett of Hooks, Larry D. Starrett of Forney, Texas, and David Starrett of Dallas; two daughters, Jeanell Cannon of Hooks and Doris Frazier of Princeton, Texas; one sister, Iris Allen of Linden, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 14 great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Boyce Green officiating. Burial will be in Red Lick Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of Elmer Starrett, 935 County Road 2110, Hooks.

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas - Pam McCullough Calcote, 50, of Hughes Springs died Wednesday, June 23, 2004, in a Longview, Texas, hospital.
Mrs. Calcote was born Jan. 1, 1954, in Galena Park, Texas. She was a Hughes Springs police officer, a Lone Star, Texas, reserve officer and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Rusk, Texas.
Survivors include one son, Brandon Calcote of Hughes Springs; her parents, Lloyd and Joyce McCullough of Hughes Springs; three brothers, Tim McCullough of New Chapel Hill, Texas, Rex McCullough of Hallsville, Texas, and Jonathan McCullough of Texas City, Texas; one sister, Vicki Hodgin of Bastrop, Texas; two grandchildren, Austin Calcote and Kali Calcote of Hughes Springs; and a number of other relatives.

NEW BOSTON, Texas - Cindy Ragsdale, 42, of Maud, Texas, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at her home.
Ms. Ragsdale was born March 31, 1962, in Texarkana, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Maud First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Dana Firth Rachel of Simms, Texas; two brothers, David Hancock of Maud and Paul Hancock of Roseland, La.; three sisters, Shirley Atchley of New Boston, Judy Herrera of Lewisville, Ark., and Kathie Foster of Hooks, Texas; two grandchildren, Kaden Rachel and Keely Rachel of Simms; and one special nephew, Terry Taylor of Maud.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Maud First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Brown officiating. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery, Simms, under direction of Bates - Rolf Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jeffery was born June 6, 1938, in Mabank, Texas. She was a homemaker and member of DeKalb Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cled Jeffery.
Survivors include two sons and daughters - in - law, Dwayne and Sharon Jeffery and Darrell and Michele Jeffery of DeKalb; one sister, Zerna Ellis of Dallas; and two grandchildren.

Vivian Juanita Martin, 42, of New Boston, Texas, died Friday, June 18, 2004, at her home.
Ms. Martin was born Sept. 9, 1961, in Tom, Okla. She was a caterer and a member of Abundant Life COGIC.
Survivors include her mother, Everetha Walker of Texarkana; two brothers, James Cush of Tom and Randy Osborne of DeKalb, Texas; four sisters, Teresa Traylor of Hooks, Texas, Wanda Ezell and Amanda Mack of Tom and Linda Cush of New Boston; one godson, Trentyn Morris - Hill of New Boston; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Dora Baptist Church, Tom, with Elder Danny Traylor officiating. Burial will be in St. Luke Cemetery under direction of Haynes Mortuary.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
