Pervie Witcher, 85, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Witcher was born Aug. 4, 1918, in Waldo, Ark. He was a cook and landscaper and a member of MODEL City and St. John Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Arthur B. Witcher of Texarkana; eight daughters, Zedia Lane, Amerlean Wishum, Betty Hunter and Annie Jewel James of Texarkana, Ethel Barnes of Gardena, Calif., Evelyn Wishum of Dallas, Mary Jones of Phoenix and Dessie Benton of Tyler, Texas; one brother, Melvin Witcher of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Jennie Bell Heard of Los Angeles; 39 grandchildren; 94 great - grandchildren; and 14 great - great - grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Rembert Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Haynes Mortuary.

Loretha Cole, 56, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, in a local hospital.
Arrangements are pending with Richardson Hill Funeral Home.
WILLIS POWELL
Willis Powell, 79, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, June 19, 2004, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
Mr. Powell was born Oct. 16, 1924, in Idabel, Okla. He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Onecia Powell of Hooks, Texas; nine sons, Wilbert Nelson of Phoenix, Willie Powell, Robert D. Williams, Jerry L. Powell and Will Walton of Minneapolis, Curtis Powell and Roy Campbell of Hooks and Andrew C. Powell and Billy F. Williams of Texarkana; seven daughters, Lucy Livingston, Anita Roberson, Sandra Powell, April Powell and Tiny Marie Walton of Minneapolis, Jettie Mae Powell of Hooks and Rebecca Criner of Texarkana; 50 grandchildren; 40 great - grandchildren; 30 great - great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Red Bank Baptist Church, Hooks, with the Rev. Johnny Walker officiating. Burial will be in Red Bank Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will be at 1801 Crockett St.
BOB EMBREY
CLARKSVILLE, Texas - Bob D. Embrey, 73, of Deport, Texas, died Monday, March 8, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Embrey was born July 19, 1930, in Detroit, Texas. He was a rancher, a member of Westside Church of Christ and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Cole Embrey of Deport; one son, Stacy Embrey of Clarksville; one daughter, Sharon Teague of Paris, Texas; two brothers, Sam Embrey of Paris and Rene Embrey of Deport; and three grandchildren, Megan Attebury, Tyler Attebury and Paige Attebury.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Clarksville Funeral Home Lindeman Chapel with the Rev. Mike Demory officiating. Burial will be in Turner Cemetery.
DON CARDWELL
GEORGETOWN, Texas - Don Cardwell, 58, of Georgetown, formerly of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, March 8, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Cardwell was born Sept. 18, 1945. He was a former employee of Western Union and General Electric, a volunteer with the Boy Scouts and Wesleyan Nursing Home and Retirement Center and a member of AARP, National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors and the Michigan Antique Phonograph Society.
Survivors include his wife, Lavon Hicks Cardwell of Georgetown; three sons and two daughters - in - law, Bill Cardwell, Jeff and Stacey Cardwell and Mike and Holly Cardwell; two sisters, Jean Landgraf of Texarkana and Patsy Allen of San Antonio; one grandson, Seth Cardwell; and a number of other relatives.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Gabriels Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

LINDA ARMSTRONG
Bessie Linda Armstrong, 89, of Nash, Texas, died Monday, March 8, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Armstrong was born April 30, 1914, in DeRidder, La. She was a homemaker and a Pentecostal. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Armstrong; and one son, Franklin Green.
Survivors include one son and daughter - in - law, Terry and Tyna Armstrong of Texarkana; three sisters, Ada Vastine and Clora Green of DeRidder and Eula Mary Roark of Fordyce, Ark.; one granddaughter, Missy Armstrong Bonner of Texarkana; one grandson, Dane Woods of Texarkana; and one great - grandson, Cole Bonner of Texarkana.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will be at 6 Wade Trail, Texarkana, Ark.

OKMULGEE, Okla. - John David Kepley, 76, of Haskell, Okla., died Saturday, March 6, 2004, in Muskogee, Okla.
Mr. Kepley was born March 16, 1927, in Tulsa, Okla. He was a World War II Army and Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Kepley.
Survivors include one daughter, Vicky Leigh Dudley of Noble, Okla.; two sons, Kim Kepley of Hespera, Calif., and John David Kepley Jr. of Lancaster, Calif.; two sisters, Madeline Bush of Redwater, Texas, and Pat Clements of Double Oaks, Texas; three brothers, Ted C. Kepley Jr. of Okmulgee, Kenneth J. Kepley of Garland, Texas, and Paul Franklin Kepley of Sulfer, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and six great - grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. today in Okmulgee Cemetery with the Rev. Alfred Berryhill officiating. Burial will be under direction of Shurden - Kelley Funeral Home.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas - Winnie D. Lewis, 81, of Mount Pleasant died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at her home.

Wanda Ramsey Reese, 64, of Wake Village, Texas, died Monday, March 8, 2004, at her home.
Mrs. Reese was born Sept. 27, 1939, in Grand Saline, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Walnut Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Reese of Wake Village; one daughter and son - in - law, Anita and Charlie Scott of Arlington, Texas; one son and daughter - in - law, Jeff and Laura Reese of Wake Village; one sister, Marie Driggers of Tyler, Texas; two grandchildren, Chris Scott of Abilene, Texas, and Brian Scott of Arlington; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at East Funeral Home, Moores Lane, Memorial Chapel with Steve McIntosh officiating. Burial will be in Center Point Cemetery, Center Point, Ark.

Clennon "Joe" Rigsby, 59, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, June 17, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Rigsby was born Aug. 10, 1944, in Dubach, La. He was a fork lift operator and a member of Wallace Memorial COGIC.
Survivors include one son, Darius Rigsby of Beaumont, Texas; three daughters, Joyce Rigsby Bonner, Youlanda Rigsby and Angela Callahan of Dallas; his parents, Charles Lee and Ogree Rigsby of Texarkana; four brothers, Clifford Rigsby, Roy Hendrix and Dennis Franks of Texarkana and Leon Wilks Jr. of Dallas; two sisters, Emma June Scales of Flint, Mich., and Patricia Rigsby Scott of Cedar Hill, Texas; and nine grandchildren.
