MATTIE WOODRUFF
Mattie Mae Woodruff, 95, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Woodruff was born March 29, 1909, in Wade, Okla. She was a schoolteacher, a Methodist and a member of the Texas State Teachers Association, the Overton, Texas, Golf and Bridge Club, the Tucson, Ariz., Estate Golf Association, Poetry Society of America and the Kilgore, Texas, China Painting Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Woodruff.
Survivors include one daughter and son - in - law, Wanda and Bob Ingram of Texarkana; and one son and daughter - in - law, Bob and Lake Woodruff of Tyler, Texas; one sister, LaFerne Ueckert of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren, Mike Ingram, Jay Woodruff and Kerri Saul; four great - grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at East Memorial Chapel, Moores Lane, with David Scurlock officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
SANDRA FIELDS
HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas - Sandra "Tina" Fields, 40, of Omaha, Texas, died Sunday, April 4, 2004, in a Pittsburg, Texas, hospital.
Mrs. Fields was born Jan. 9, 1964, in Morris County, Texas. She was employed with Pilgrims and a member of Mount Mitchell Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Keith Fields of Cason, Texas; four children, Leslie, Charlie Jr., Sekeithia and Kaderius; her mother, Lessie B. Robinson of Omaha; five brothers, Carl Robinson of Hughes Springs, Charles Wayne Robinson and Elvis Robinson of Daingerfield, Texas, LaRone Robinson of Waco, Texas, and Anthony Robinson of Longview, Texas; four sisters, Josephine Adams of Gainesville, Texas, and Deloris Sanders, Diane Cole and Liza Wallace of Daingerfield; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Mitchell Church of Christ, Omaha, with Joe Earl Rivers officiating. Burial will be in Whitmore Cemetery, Daingerfield, under direction of Reeder - Davis Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
THELMA JOHNSON
Thelma Johnson, 88, of Texarkana died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, in a local hospital.

CAROL DAVIS
MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas - Carol La Shun "Sue" Davis, 37, of Mount Pleasant died Monday, April 5, 2004, in Mount Pleasant.
Ms. Davis was born Sept. 5, 1966, in Cooper, Texas. She attended Northeast Texas Community College.
Survivors include one daughter, La Terika Davis of Mount Pleasant; one son, Adrian Davis of Mount Pleasant; her mother, Frances Davis of Milwaukee; her father and stepmother, Leon and Joyce Coleman of Dallas; two brothers, Ronnie Davis of Mount Pleasant and Robert Hughes of Milwaukee; three sisters, Willie Mae Barrett of Mount Pleasant and Tasha Coleman and Dana Coleman of Dallas; her grandmother, Ester L. Davis of Mount Pleasant; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Tumey Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Bertrand Bailey Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Old West Side Cemetery.
The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
FAYE JONES
JEFFERSON, Texas - Faye June Jones, 65, of Jefferson, Texas, died Monday, April 5, 2004, in a Marshall, Texas, hospital.
Mrs. Jones was born June 24, 1938, in Jefferson. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Jones; and two sons.
Survivors include four daughters, Katie Sims Williams of Tyler, Texas, Eddie Faye Mills of Jefferson, Maisie Jones of Gladewater, Texas, and Anna Robertson of Longview, Texas; six sons, William Jones, Karl Jones and John E. Jones of Jefferson, Danta Jones of Gladewater, Terry Jones of Dallas and Brad Barrett of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Lillie Nelson of Mineral Wells, Texas, and Mattie Lewis of Jefferson; one brother, Terry Nelson of Jefferson; 16 grandchildren; 15 great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Enon Baptist Church under direction of Burton Funeral Home.

Timothy Scott Jones, 42, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in a Dallas hospital from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.
Mr. Jones was born Sept. 16, 1961, in Hampton, Iowa. He was an employee of Jones and Sons Construction. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald L. Jones.
Survivors include his wife, LaDonna Brown Jones of Texarkana; one daughter, Amelia Jones of Texarkana; two stepsons and one stepdaughter - in - law, Billy and Jana Ball of Mount Pleasant, Texas, and Kris Ball of Lufkin, Texas; his mother, Margaret Jones Prestidge of Texarkana; one brother, Kevin Lee Jones of Texarkana; two sisters, Diane Ottermann of Washington, Mo., and Amy DeLeo of Sullivan, Mo.; his grandmother, Louise Mattingly of Boone, Iowa; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Texarkana Funeral Home Fuqua - Everett Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mike Kessler officiating. Entombment will be in Chapelwood Mausoleum.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will be at 4 Knightsbridge Road.

FAY PARKER
Fay A. Parker, 78, of Hooks, Texas, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Parker was born April 28, 1925, in Horatio, Ark. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a member of Hooks First Baptist Church and a World War II Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Maxene Parker of Hooks; one son, Gary Rose of Hooks; two daughters and sons - in - law, Shay and Doug Grelle and Terri and John Edwards of Hooks; three brothers, Johnny Parker of Houston, Robert Parker of Horatio and Gene Parker of Conroe, Texas; five grandchildren; two great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Ford officiating. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. in Redmen Cemetery, De Queen, Ark.
The family will be at their home on Farm to Market Road 560, Hooks.

VICTOR SILMAN
Victor Silman, 87, of Texarkana, died Friday, April 9, 2004, in a San Antonio nursing home.
Mr. Silman was born Aug. 24, 1916. He was retired from Wexlar McCoy Inc. and a member of First Baptist Church, Downtown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Phillips Silman, in 1989.
Survivors include his wife, Aloise Mitchell Silman of Texarkana; two sons, Gary M. Silman of Fort Worth, Texas, and Joe L. Silman of San Antonio; two grandchildren; and three great - grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home.

Lewis Claude Darden, 77, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Darden was born June 26, 1926, in Atlanta, Ga. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barnell Darden.
Survivors include four daughters, Lillie Helen Gipson and Patricia Wilson of Texarkana and Janie Burris and Rita Simon of Los Angeles; one stepdaughter, Classie Cameros of Los Angeles; five stepsons, Randy Williams, LeRoy Williams, William Byrd and Cornelius Wilson of Los Angeles and Walter King of Nashville, Tenn.; 45 grandchildren; and 25 great - grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Haynes Mortuary Thomas E. Haynes Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Reginald Reid Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Gardens.

Willie Pearl Foster, 78, of Humble, Texas, formerly of Texarkana and DeKalb, Texas, died Monday, April 12, 2004, in Humble.
Mrs. Foster was born July 3, 1925, in Port Arthur, Texas. She was retired from Red River Army Depot and former member of First Baptist Church Downtown. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.A. Foster Jr.
Survivors include two daughters; two grandsons; and one great - grandson.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Cemetery with the Rev. James Kitchens officiating. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
