MARVA STONE
Marva Joy "Grammy" Stone, 66, of Wake Village, Texas, died Thursday, April 1, 2004, in a Texarkana hospital.
Mrs. Stone was born Nov. 21, 1937, in Springfield, Mo. She was retired from Red River Army Depot and a receptionist for Northside Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Culver E. Stone Sr.; one son, Jeffery Stone; and one daughter, Rhonda Stone.
Survivors include three sons, Don Stone of Memphis, Tenn., Culver Stone Jr. of Fresno, Calif., and Bruce Stone of Lincoln, Calif.; one daughter, Suzanne Snead of Nampa, Idaho; four sisters, Sharon Shaw of Roseville, Calif., Joan Loveland of North Highlands, Calif., Alice Ynchausti of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., and Mary Vershuyl of Palo Alto, Calif.; four brothers, Bud Smith of Auburn, Wash., George Smith of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, Elmer Smith of Post Falls, Idaho, and Leonard Smith of Corvallis, Ore.; 14 grandchildren; three great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Northside Assembly of God Church with Michael Lockard and the Revs. Jimmy White and B.J. Smith officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Sierra Hills Cemetery, Sacramento, Calif. Local arrangements are under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
The family will be at 121 Eastline, Wake Village.
BETTY WILKERSON
Betty Jean Wilkerson, 56, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, April 1, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Wilkerson was born Oct. 2, 1947, in Ashdown, Ark. She was a custodian.
Survivors include two sons, Malcomb Wilkerson and Greg Wilkerson of Houston; one daughter, Denice Wilkerson of Texarkana; two brothers, Freddie French and Londell French of Texarkana; and four sisters, Ruthie Jean Johnson, Minnie Marie Rose, Lynn Marie French and Irene Jones of Texarkana.
Services will be noon Wednesday at Bowie Street Church of Christ with Johnnie McGhee officiating. Burial will be in Nash Cemetery under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
CORA RICHIE
Cora L. Richie, 88, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, April 4, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Richie was born May 16, 1915, in Ashdown, Ark. She was a retired cook and a member of Polly Chapel Baptist Church and Tuesday Prayer Group.
Survivors include four cousins, Connie Knowles of Los Angeles, Timothy Knowles of Columbus, Ohio, and Dorothy Garner and George Dunn of Dallas; and one special friend, Betty Washington of Texarkana.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Polly Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Reginald Reid Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery under direction of Haynes Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

James Norman Minton, 83, of Maud, Texas, died Monday, April 5, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Minton was born Nov. 26, 1920, in Maud. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a member of First Baptist Church in Maud and Disabled American Veterans and an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva McElwee Minton of Maud; one son, Jimmy L. Minton of Maud; three daughters, Joyce Beauregard of Livermore, Calif., Elaine Latham of Texarkana and Gina Ambler of Huntsville, Ala.; three sisters, Martha Thomas and Frances Sanders of Fort Worth, Texas, and Juanita Walker of Livingston, Texas; nine grandchildren; eight great - grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Brown and Jon Binkley officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery, Simms, Texas, under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will be at 513 Birch St., Maud.

WESLEY WILKERSON
Wesley "Bud" Wilkerson, 72, of Midland, Texas, died Monday, April 4, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Wilkerson was born Aug. 5, 1931. He was a mechanic, member of the Church of God and Veterans of Foreign Wars and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Wilkerson; and two daughters, Brenda Wilkerson and Theresa Harris.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Wilkerson of Fouke, Ark., and Tim Wilkerson of Midland; three daughters, Rae Kerby of Wake Village, Texas, and Sherri MacCurdy and Glenda Jordan of Midland; one brother, Danny Carnes of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren; four great - grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in East Memorial Gardens. Burial will be under direction of East Funeral Home, Moores Lane.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

CLARKSVILLE, Texas - Rosie Bell Surface, 76, of Clarksville died Monday, April 5, 2004, in Plano, Texas.
Mrs. Surface was born April 29, 1927, in Sentinel, Okla. She was a retired beautician and a member of Church of God.
Survivors include one son, Ralph Surface of Dallas; one daughter, Alverna Orndorff of Detroit, Texas; one special friend, Caroll Mitchell of Clarksville; four great - grandchildren; and five great - great - grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Leesville Cemetery with the Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will be under direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Hinsley of Texarkana; one daughter and son - in - law, Linda and Rayford Johnson of Texarkana; one granddaughter, Kristen Johnson of Texarkana; four stepgrandchildren, Melissa Johnson Watson of Murfreesboro, Ark., and Anthony Johnson, Shannon Whitley and David Johnson of Fouke, Ark.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
