WAXAHACHIE – Funeral services for Gail Jeraldine Nash were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2004 at First Baptist Church in Maypearl.
Born April 27, 1964 in Grand Prairie, the daughter of Alva and Dorothy Cole, she passed away March 24, 2004 after a prolonged illness.
Preceded in death by father Alva Cole, she is survived by husband David Nash of Saginaw; three daughters, Andrea, Tamara, Katrina Nash of Saginaw; one son, Ryan Nash of Saginaw; mother, Dorothy Cole of Maypearl; four sisters, Louise Mathers and husband John of Grandview, Ann Sillavan and husband Jackie of Waxahachie, Judy Flores and husband Steve of Plano, Carolyn Cole of Maypearl; three nephews and two nieces.
Interment followed at Oak Branch cemetery in Maypearl with Waxahachie Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Howard G. Haynes

DALLAS – Graveside services for Howard G. Haynes, 72, were held March 31, 2004 were held Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at the Mount Piska cemetery in Oakwood.
Born in Fort Townsen, Okla. Aug.31, 1931, he passed away Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Veterans Hospital in Dallas.
Preceded in death by three children, Angie, Brian and Kenneth Haynes and two grandchildren Mathew Haynes and Chuck Jones, he is survived by his wife of 50 years Elgie Haynes; sons Gene Haynes of Ennis, Larry Haynes of Huntsville, Jimmy Haynes of Baycliff, William Haynes of Crandall and Tommy Haynes of Euless; daughters Kathy Bailey of Red Oak, Hazel Harwell of Cleburne, Rebecca Cunco of Dickenson, Barbara Jones of Balch Springs along with 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of Byrum Funeral Home in Lancaster.
Raymond L. Bess

WAXAHACHIE – Graveside services for Raymond L. Bess, 75 of Wilmer, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2004 at Graveside Trinity cemetery with Rev. Elmer Glazener officiating.
Born June 13, 1928 in Dexter, Missouri, the son of Righta Mae Dallas and Marion Orlando Bess, he passed away March 26, 2004 at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas.
Preceded in death by his wife, parents Marion Bess and Righta Dallas, he is survived by two daughters, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Interment was at Trinity cemetery in Wilmer with Green Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Peter Antonio Ledezma

WAXAHACHIE – Direct cremation was ordered for Peter Antonio Ledezma, 65.
Born Oct. 26, 1938 in Sebewaing, Michigan the son of Trinidad and Lino Ledezma, he passed away March 25, 2004.
Preceded in death by parents Trinidad and Lino Ledezma; two brothers, Mundo and Reynaldo Ledezma, he is survived by wife Janet Ledezma of Ennis; two sons, Reynaldo J. Ledezma of Ennis, Michael Ledezma of Waterford, Michigan; one step-son, Jaysen St. Clair of Ennis; one daughter, Ginger Ledezma of Phoenix, Arizona; step-daughter in law, Candy St. Clair of Ennis; four step-granddaughters, Brittani St. Clair and Hailey St. Clair of Kempier, Texas, Natalie St. Clair and Tiffany Ray of Ennis; and one sister, Mary Roettger of Waterford, Michigan.
Evelyn Eastham Pitts

WAXAHACHIE – Visitation was held for Evelyn Eastham Pitts, 56 of Waxahachie, at the First United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 8, 2004.
A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, at the Waxahachie Civic Center, following a private interment at Waxahachie City cemetery.
Born Aug. 22, 1947 in Dallas, the daughter of Jack B. and Frances Peters Eastham, she passed away June 6, 2004.
Preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law, Roy Pitts; and niece Erin Burns, she is survived by her husband, Jim Pitts; two daughters, Duffy Pitts Bloemendal and husband Scott, and Ashley Pitts; one son Ryan Pitts; one sister Ellen Zinn and husband, Tim, of San Diego, Calif.; mother-in-law Agnes Pitts; sister-in-law Rose-mary Burns and husband Bob of Malakoff; brother-in-law John Pitts and wife Mary Bain of Houston; niece Jacqueline Zinn of Chicago; nephews Mike, John Pitts, Jr, and Jamie Pitts.
Pallbearers were Pat Gardenhire, Billy Price, Harold Barnard, Jack Price, Lee Bloemendal, Bob Burns, John Pitts, John Griffin, Kevin Kosoris, Steve Chapman, John Compton, Dave Williams, Ray Weable, John Chapman, Mac McDermott, Richard Emery and Donald Patman.
Arrangements were under the direction of Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.

FERRIS – Funeral services for Francis A. Manning, 89, were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004 at Green Funeral Home in Ferris with Rev. Royce Campbell officiating.
Born May 14, 1915 in Oglesby, the son of Mack Miller Manning and Effie Mae Melton, he passed away Aug 1, 2004 at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie.
Preceded in death by his wife, Addie Faye Manning, his parents, brother Loyd Manning; and sister Grace Melton, he is survived by three sons Darrel Manning and wife Janis of Ferris, Gary Manning and wife Cindy of Lancaster, and Jerry Manning of Palmer; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Powers Chapel cemetery in Rosebud.
Donald James Knavel

Born June 13, 1966, in Waterloo, Iowa, he died Mon., Nov. 22, 2004, in Hood County from a car accident.
He is survived by his parents James and Helen Knavel of Granbury; one daughter, Clair Marie of Des Moines, Iowa; a twin sister, Donna Cupp of Ferris; four brothers, Jim Knavel of Cleburne, Rick, Bob and John Knavel, all of Ennis; and his fiance, Christi Scott of Granbury.
Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury was in charge of the arrangements.

Born Dec. 21, 1960 in Zapotlanejo, Jalisco, Mexico to Fernando Macias Davalos and Rafaela Beltran Nazario, he died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004 at 660 Hunsucker in Ferris.
Preceded in death by his father, he is survived by a daughter Lydia Davalos of Corsicana; mother of Zapotlanejo, Mexico; five brothers, Fernando Davalos, Antonio C. Davalos, Adam Nazario, Armando Nazario and Gabriel Nazario, all of Cincinnati, Ohio.; and Rosa Nazario and Rosario Nazario, both of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Burial was in Zapotlanejo De Jalisco Municipal, Zapotlanejo, Mexico.
Arrangements were under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.
Randy Crow Sr.

ENNIS — Services for Randy Crow Sr., 51, of Ennis were 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home chapel in Ennis.
Born Oct. 8, 1953 in Ennis to Jim and Geneva Teague Crow, he died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004.
He owned and operated R&R Auto Sales for more than 10 years.
He was a 1971 graduate of Ennis High School.
Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by a daughter Christina Crow of Ennis; three sons, Randy Crow Jr., Casey James Crow and Christiopher Michael Crow, all of Ennis; a sister Brenda Gruslin and her husband Jein-Pol of Kingwood; two nephews, Shane Johnson and his wife Berit and Darren Mixon; and a niece Melissa Mixon, all of Houston; a grandson Kadon Crow of Ennis; aunts and uncles, Mary and Jerry Kopec of Ennis, Jessie Crow of Irving and Bobby and Lynn Crow of Mexico.
Burial was at Myrtle cemetery in Ennis.
Arrangements were under the direction of Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis.

Born Nov. 30, 1909 in Avalon to William R. and Bessie Inman Jett, he died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004 at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie.
He was a cotton farmer.
Preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ada Jett and Docia Feaster; two brothers, Billy and Johnny Jett; and a niece Linda; he is survived by two sisters, Esther Wideman of San Antonio and Betty Jett of Avalon; and a sister-in-law Frankilou Jett of Hot Springs Village, Ark.
Burial was in Elm Branch cemetery.

Eulalia Leffers Schmolder

FERRIS — Memorial services for Eulalia Leffers Schmolder, 85, of Ferris will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2005 at First United Methodist Church in Ferris with Rev. Mary Gean Cope officiating.
Born July 4, 1919 in Omaha, Neb. to Fred and Ida Leffers, she died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005 in Dallas.
She was an assistant professor of home economics, and specialist in dietetics and nutrition at Baylor University, Sam Houston Unibversity, Parkland Hospital and Addison High School.
She was a teacher at Ohio State University, Parkland Hospital in Dallas and Texas Women’s University.
She was a dietician for the Dallas public school system for nine years.
She received a Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio State, and Master’s and Doctorate Degrees from Texas Women’s University.
She participated in many garden and book clubs.
Her interest groups included the Nutrition Today Society, Eastern Star, 3 Garden Club, Book Review Club and Methodist Women’s Group.
Her professional memberships included The American, Texas and Dallas Dietetic Associations; Texas State Nutrition Council; Society for Nutrition Education; Nutrition Today Society; American and Texcas Home Economics Association; Texas Association of College Teachers; National Nutrition Consortium; and Texas Society of Allied Health Profession.
She was a member of Ferris United Methodist Church in Ferris.
Preceded in death by her husband She is survived by one brother Gilbert Ainsworth of Ferris; two sisters, Bernice Dreyer of Webb City, Mo.; Arlene Kernell of Norfolk, Neb.; two step daughters, Shawn Terry and Dixie McManus of Baltimore, Ohio.
