NAPLES - Services for J.A. Kingston, 95, of Naples, will be held at 10 a.m. today at Alexander Chapel. Burial will be in Bryans Mill cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Naples. Mr. Kingston died Saturday in Omaha, Texas.

Roy L. Napps
Funeral services for Roy L. Napps, 78, of Longview, will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Rosewood Park cemetery. Mr. Napps died Saturday evening at a local hospital. He was born in Chandler, Texas, on June 22, 1919, was a longtime resident of Longview and attended the Church of Christ. Mr. Napps was the founder of Napps Heating and Air Conditioning and served in the United States Army during World War II at the Latterman General Hospital in San Francisco, California and overseas in the China-Burma-India theatre of operation. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today. Mr. Napps is survived by his wife, Pauline, of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie G. and Mary Napps of Longview; grandson, James, of College Station; sisters, Bertie Jackson of Palestine, Texas, Cecil Newburn of Malibu Bay, Flint, Texas; and brother, Lewis Napps of Jacksonville, Texas.

Lynn C. Soape
Funeral services for Lynn C. Soape, 79, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ernest Hodge officiating. Burial will be in Elmira Chapel cemetery at Spring Hill. Mr. Soape died Saturday in a local hospital. He was a longtime East Texas resident, retired from Texas Eastman Co., and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his brothers, J.C. and A.D. Soape. Mr. Soape is survived by his wife, Annie Soape of Longview; sons, Charles Wayne Soape of Houston and Jimmy Worley of Longview; daughters, Billie Jo Duff of Dallas and Rosemary Dillard of Prichitt; brothers R.E. and W.D. Soape, both of Carthage; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Effie Mae Butler
GLADEWATER - Funeral services for Effie Mae Butler, 93, of Gladewater will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Abundant Life Temple, with the Rev. Mike McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial Park under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gladewater. Born on Feb. 24, 1905, in Dunn, La., to the late John and Rosie Stansell, Mrs. Butler died Sunday at a Gladewater nursing home. She was a resident of Gladewater since 1935, a homemaker and a member of Abundant Life Temple since 1939. She is survived by four sons: Jack Butler, Paul Butler and Alfred Butler, all of Gladewater, and Johnny Butler of Mesquite; three daughters, Mary Templeton of Longview, Rose Everett of Sherman and Willie Mae Hibbison of Gladewater; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Butler Sr.; a daughter, Minnie Staggs; and three sons, Fred Butler Jr., William H. Butler and Jimmy Butler. Memorials may be made to Abundant Life Temple Building Fund, 407 Money, Gladewater, Texas 75647. Visitation will be held at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater from 6-8 p.m. today.

Charlotte P. Eaton
NEW LONDON - Graveside services for Charlotte P. Eaton, 78, of New London will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Pleasant Hill cemetery with the Rev. Jim Hilton officiating under the direction of Overton's Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home. She died Monday in a Tyler hospital. She was a member of the Overton Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Kenyon Eaton of New London.

Burial will be in the Rockwall Memorial cemetery under the direction of Lyons Funeral Home. Local survivors include his parents, Sarah and Robert Hisey of Longview.

Wendell Coy Hooker Jr.
MARSHALL - Services for Wendell Coy Hooker Jr., 73, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Travis Street Chapel of the Sullivan Funeral Home in Marshall, with Dr. Pat Day and Adrian Roden officiating. Burial will follow in Colonial Gardens. He died Monday. He was born June 10, 1924, in Carthage.

Graveside services for Julie Estelle Kinney, 86, of Longview will be held at 11 a.m. today at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola with Dr. John Fite officiating and under the direction of Roselawn Funeral Home. She died Sunday in a Longview hospital. Local survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Dr. John Fite of Longview.

Robert Kenneth Langston
Funeral services for Robert Kenneth Langston, 66, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chris Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park cemetery. Mr. Langston was born Nov. 19, 1931, in Orange, Texas. He attended Stephen F. Austin State University and was a graduate of the University of Houston with multiple degrees in electrical engineering. He had been a resident of East Mountain for the past 12 years and a resident of the Longview area since 1975. He was a purchasing agent for Trinity Industries Plant #194. Mr. Langston was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle of Longview. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Melba, of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Rhonda Langston of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Chris Griffin of Longview; granddaughters, Chelsea and Morgan Langston and Jessica, Mary and Rebekah Griffin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John T. and Agnes Smith of Lufkin; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Local survivors include his wife Ruell McDowell and son Edward J. McDowell Jr., of Harleton; and daughters Toni Dowden of Union Grove and Mollie Berry of Harleton.

Frankie Mae Case
Graveside services for Frankie Mae Case, 86, of Longview will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lakeview cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Mills officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Ms. Case died Tuesday morning in a local nursing home. A native of Valiant, Okla., she was born July 27, 1911, and retired as a bookkeeper from the Burpee Seed Co. She was a member of the Methodist Church of the Eastern Star. She is survived by three brothers, John F. Case of Rising Star, Texas, Robert Cross Case of Birmingham, Ala., and Herbert Henry Case of Lubbock, Texas; one sister-in-law, Martha Case of Hallsville; four nephews; and two nieces.

James Ray Deeds
GILMER - Services for James Ray Deeds, 72, of Gilmer will be held at 2 p.m. today at Croley Funeral Chapel in Gilmer with the Rev. O.D. Oliver officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery in Gladewater. Mr. Deeds died Monday in Longview. He retired from Dallas Power and Light Company after 38 years of services. He is locally survived by his wife, Mary Deeds of Gilmer.

Rufus Denton
Services for Rufus Denton were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stanmore Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. H.C. Rockmore officiating. Burial was in Hebron cemetery. He died Friday in a local hospital. Survivors include five sisters, Viola Davis of Dallas, Zethia, and husband, Jessie Faggett, Marie Glover, Sarah Fury and Willie Mae Denton, all of Longview; grandchildren, Brenda Wright, Ronnie Lewis of Houston, Beverly Burton, Alvino Louis of Los Angeles, Calif.; sister-in-law and husband, Mattie and Rev. H. Gentry of Longview; and many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Patricia Evans Dimberg
Patricia Evans Dimberg, 79, of Lone Star died Saturday morning, May 23, 1998, at a local hospital in Longview. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Dimberg was born Feb. 5, 1919, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Stuart and Jean Allen Evans. She was a domestic engineer and a member of the Methodist faith, the Waxhaws Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Lancaster, S.C., and the 20th Century Club of Daingerfield. She attended Lawrence University and the Vogue School of Design in Chicago. Mrs. Dimberg is survived by her husband, Robert A. Dimberg; a brother, Stuart Evans of Cleveland, Ohio; her children, Karen Dimberg of Milwaukee, Scott Dimberg of Waterloo, Iowa, and Debra Dimberg of Milwaukee; five grandchildren; and two great-grand- children. The family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Daryl Wendell Durrett
DAINGERFIELD - Services for Daryl Wendell Durrett, 68, of Lone Star will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 29, 1998, at the Lone Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Huey Bazar and Brother Johnny Coleman officiating. Burial will be in the Daingerfield cemetery under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. Mr. Durrett was born Sept. 9, 1929, in Jacksonville, Texas, and died Friday, May 22, 1998, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a Baptist and retired from Lone Star Steel. Survivors include his wife, Ethel Durrett of Lone Star; three sons, Doug Durrett of Waco, Keith Durrett of Daingerfield, Terry Durrett of Honolulu; daughter, Judy Thorne of Smithville; sister, Lanell Hayes of Houston; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The familyn will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Daniel Isaac Felsenthal
Graveside services for Daniel Isaac Felsenthal, 56, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Memory Park cemetery with Rabbi Bernard Honan and Dr. Jim Elam officiating. Arrangements are by Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Felsenthal died Monday afternoon. Mr. Felsenthal, a lifelong resident of Longview, attended Longview Public Schools and was a 1959 graduate of Longview High School. He attended the University of Texas at Austin from 1959-1963 and remained a loyal benefactor throughout his life as a member of the Longhorn Foundation. In 1967, he graduated second in his class from the New York Institute of Finance and joined E.F. Hutton in New York City. He was licensed by the New York Stock Exchange, the National Association of Security Dealers and the Chicago Board of Trade. Mr. Felsenthal was a vice-president with Salomon Smith Barney, formerly E.F. Hutton, for 31 years and was a blue chip producer. In 1968, he was the guest of President Lyndon Baines Johnson at a state dinner honoring King Faisal of Saudi Arabia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sonnel and Annette Felsenthal of Longview. He is survived by his wife, Connie; a son, Dan; a daughter, Kathryn, all of Longview; and a sister, Sherrie Chalverus of Marietta, Ga. The family will receive friends 6:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to a favorite charity.
