HENDERSON - Services for Robert Wayne Dickeson, 72, of Farmers Branch will be held at 2 p.m. today, February 3, 1998 at Bryan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Davis and the Rev. Frank Jones officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Mr. Dickeson died Saturday at a Farmers Branch hospital. He was a veteran of World War II and had worked in the business office of Otis Engeering.
James Robert Floyd
HENDERSON - Services for James Robert Floyd, 39, of Farmington, Minn., will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 1998 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Simpson officiating. Burial will be in the Strong cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home. Mr. Floyd died Thursday. He had graduated from Henderson in 1977 and had lived in Rusk County most of his life.
Fred Gable
Services for Fred Gable, 80, of Longview, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 1998 at Welch Funeral Home Chapel with speaker Bishop Peter Roueche. Burial will be in Kelsey cemetery near Gilmer. Mr. Gable was a lifetime Longview resident. He died Saturday after a lengthy illness. He married
Reva Eldeen Dixon on Sept. 18, 1948. Mr. Gable retired from City Plumbing Co. after 39 years. After retirement, he enjoyed golf and dominoes. He also was a veteran of World War II, serving in the 36th MP Co. He is survived by his wife, Eldeen Gable of Longview; daughters and son-in-law, Terry and Phillip Hidalgo of Haughton, La., and Sheronne and John Carlin of Longview; sister, Clifford Reynolds of Longview; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. today at Welch Funeral Home.
Eva Jo Hart
Services for Eva Jo Hart, 67, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 1998 at Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Lynch officiating. Burial will be at Rosewood Park cemetery. Mrs. Hart died Friday afternoon, Jan 30, 1998, in a Longview hospital. She was born July 18, 1930, in Drumright, Okla., and had been a resident of Longview since the early 1940s. Mrs. Hart was a member of the First Baptist Church of Longview, a homemaker and for 18 years was employed by Good Shepherd Medical Center as a licensed vocational nurse. Mrs. Hart is survived by her husband, Leo, of Longview; a daughter and son-in-law, Cyndi and Chris Summy of Longview; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Anita Hart of Longview; grandchildren, Christi, Robert Jr. and Ashley Hart; her mother, Blanche M. Seals of San Antonio; a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Bill Lynch of San Antonio; a brother-in-law, Charlie Hart of Longview; and her nieces and nephews, Kathy Blair of Universal City, Texas, Tim Lynch of Live Oak, Texas, Pamela Hart of Overton and Steve Hart of Diana. KILGORE - Services for Glenn R. Howell, 85, of Kilgore will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 1998 at Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with the Rev. Brad Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Kilgore cemetery. Mr. Howell, who retired from Sun Oil Co. after 43 years of service, died Saturday in Kilgore. Ora L. Kruse
Services for Ora L. Kruse, 96, of Longview will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 1998 at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Moore and the Rev. James Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Memory Park cemetery. Mrs. Kruse died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998, at a local hospital. She was born May 1, 1901, in Simms, Texas. Mrs. Kruse had been a resident of Longview since 1936, coming from New Boston. She was a member of the Greggton First Baptist Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Kruse was preceded in death by her husband, Charley Kruse, and a son, William Travis Kruse. She is survived by her children, Curtis Kruse, Deanie Bounds, and John Kruse, all of Longview, Joe Kruse of Gladewater, and Shirley Quaas of Tyler; two half-brothers, Otto Tidwell of DeKalb, Texas, and Weldon Tidwell of Ohio; one half-sister, Lucille Bachelor of DeKalb, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials by made to a charity of choice. The family will receive friends 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Services for Otis Mitchell, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 1998 at Lillie Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Duwayne Taylor officiating. Arrangements are by Welch Funeral Home. Miss Smith died Saturday. She was a member of the Hallsville First United Methodist Church. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. W.J.B. Smith of Waco and numerous nieces and nephews.
Winnie Carolyn Black
HOUSTON - Winnie Carolyn Black, 62, died March 3, 1998. Mrs. Black was a longtime resident of Longview before moving to Houston. She retired from Longview Bank and Trust after many years of service. Mrs. Black is survived by her husband of 43 years, Harry L. Black; two sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Sandra Black and Brian and Jennifer Black, and her grandchildren, Ashley, Julie, Dusty, Carson and Susan, all of Houston; her mother, Laura Mae Gentry, and brother, Albert Gentry and his wife, Josie, all of Miles, Texas; and other loving relatives. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today, March 5, at Earthman Bellaire Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 6, at Houston National cemetery Chapel, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive. Mrs. Harrell died Monday, March 2, 1998, at a local hospital. She had been a resident of Longview for 24 years, coming from Kentucky. She was born in Butler County, Ky., on March 12, 1927, and was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Harrell is survived by her sons, Jimmy Findley of Kentucky, Jerry Findley of Longview, and Michael Findley, Kevin Findley and Steven Findley, all of Kentucky; daughters, Brenda Sanchez of Longview, Theresa Fields of Kentucky and Kimberly O'Con and Dena Marett, both of Longview; 31 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, W.L. and J.C. Lindsey of Kentucky, Stanley Lindsey of Avinger, Texas, Ruby Raymer of Kentucky and Sue Skillern of California; and numerouos nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by her husband, Gene A. Harrell; a sister, Anita Ray; and a grandson, Derrick Findley. James C. 'Jim' Hogan Sr.
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Services for James C. "Jim" Hogan Sr., 54, of Hattiesburg, Miss., will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dixie Baptist Church in Hattiesburg with the Rev. Bobby Holder, the Rev. Joe Campbell and the Rev. Harvey Kelly officiating. Interment will be in Dixie Baptist Church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home. Mr. Hogan died of heart failure on Monday, March 2, 1998, at his residence. The longtime resident of Hattiesburg was a member of Dixie Baptist Church, where he was an active member and deacon. Mr. Hogan was retired from the restaurant business. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus Leon and Ruth McMahan Hogan II. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Page Hogan of Hattiesburg; one daughter, Virginia H. "Ginger" Berry of Prentiss, Miss.; three sons, Scott Hogan of Atlanta, Ga., and James E. Hogan Jr. and Jacob R. Hogan, both of Hattiesburg; one grandson; two sisters, Jeanette Barham of Hattiesburg and Carolyn Simmons of Columbia, Miss.; and three brothers, Dr. Marcus L. Hogan III of Hattiesburg, Dr. Daniel Hogan of Raymond, Miss., and Harold Hogan of Longview. Pallbearers will be Mark Hogan, David Hogan, Patrick Hogan, John Saulters, Eddie Hogan, Craig Hogan, Glenn Allen Simmons, Harvey Hogan and David Page. He was born March 27, 1927, in Dexter, N.M. He had been a resident of Longview for the past 30 years, having come from Dallas. Mr. Morgan was retired as a retail salesman but was currently working for WalMart. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II era, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hallsville. He is survived by his wife, Eula Morgan of Longview; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Sharon Morgan of Hallsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Russell Kangerga of Henderson; a sister, Dorothy Cash of Dallas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
