Willie Draton
Services for Willie Draton, 85, of Centerville, will be at noon Saturday at Pleasant Spring AME Church. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Donalson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Emanuel Funeral Home, Crockett.
Mrs. Draton died Friday at her residence.
She was born Feb. 14, 1917, in Centerville to Johnnie and Pearlie Jackson Rains.
Mrs. Draton attended school in the Pleasant Spring community. She was a member of Pleasant Spring AME Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.K. Draton; and siblings, Polly Johnson, Robbie Rains, Gertrude Davis, Nillie Ard, James Rains and twin Will Rains.
Mrs. Draton is survived by a host of nieces.
Mary Marie Harris
Services for Mary Marie Harris, 36, of Mexia, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Taylor Chapel Church of God in Christ in Wortham. Burial will follow at Wortham Cemetery under the direction of Emanuel Funeral Home of Teague.
Mrs. Harris died Sunday in Mexia.
She was born Nov. 20, 1966, in Corsicana to Melvin and Varla Mae Goodson Harris.
Mrs. Harris received her education from the Wortham public schools and McKinney Job Corp. She was employed as a home health care provider. She was a member of Taylor’s Chapel COGIC.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Davion D. Harris; and sister, Callie May Harris.
Mrs. Harris is survived by her fiancé, Kenneth Gardner of Mexia; daughter, Tamika N. Harris of Mexia; god-daughter, Felicia Jones; brother, Jay Goodson; sister, Cathy Harris; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Jerry Lee Henderson
Services for Jerry Lee Henderson, 57, of Frankston, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wofford Cemetery with the Rev. James Farmer officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Mr. Henderson died Friday at his home.
He was born Jan. 9, 1945 in Frankston. He was a life resident of Frankston and a Baptist.
He is survived by brothers, Homer J. Henderson and Robert Henderson, both of Frankston; sisters, Lorene Ivey of Edgewood, Abeline Johnson and Adeline Emmert, both of Ennis, Annie Doris Reid of Frankston and Linda Kay Carlton, both of Palestine.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Georgia Hill
Services for Georgia Hill, 83, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church with the Revs. Lynn Stroud and Robert Allen Fitzgerald Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Church Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
She died Thursday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Hill was born Jan. 10, 1919 in Anderson County to Mack and Media Gilbert Schitoskey.
Mrs. Hill was a homemaker and member of Friendship Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Virgil Hill, in 1972.
Mrs. Hill is survived by daughters, Gladys Fitzgerald of Tyler and Carol Fitzgerald of Blackfoot; brother, H.W. Schitoskey of Poynor; six grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Beckendorf, James Edgar, James Fitzgerald, Ely Ramirez, Bryan Fitzgerald, Joey Fitzgerald, and Darby Fitzgerald.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Moore, Ronnie Schitoskey, Charles “Red” Schitoskey, H.L. Schitoskey Jr. and Brandon Fitzgerald.

Mrs. Selden died Thursday at Cartmell Home for Aged.
She was born Feb. 8, 1912, in Palestine to Benjamin F. and Rose Pettit Jordan.
Mrs. Selden was retired from Missouri-Pacific Railroad and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry B. Selden; brother, W.B. Jordan; and sisters, Evelyn DuPree, Beatrice Scarborough and Clarice Ward.
Mrs. Selden is survived by daughter, Sherea Sue Sumrall of Palestine; son, Harry B. Selden Jr. of Palestine; brother, Robert E. Jordan of Palestine; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Jack Selden, Larry Selden, Don Selden, Ron Selden, Worth Andrews, Bob Burroughs and Roger Henderson.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Arkansas Gazette, Ben Scarborough, Glen Woods and Arnold Hudson.

Rosa Lee Wilson
Services for Rosa Lee Wilson, 95, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. James Bass Sr. officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Emanuel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilson died Tuesday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 27, 1907, in Freestone County to Matilda Thomas.
Mrs. Wilson attended Pine Top Public School. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and she later united with Pilgrim Hill Baptist Church. She was a member of the choir and mother of the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edell Wilson; sons, Edell Wilson Jr. and Woodrow Wilson; and daughter, Mary Louise Wilson.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by children, William J. Wilson, Frankie Lois Murphy and Annie L. Wilson, all of Fort Worth, and Ludie Wilson of Palestine; sister, Daisy Johnson of Washington; brother, Silman Henry of Chicago; 26 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
A wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Hardin Walker
Services for Hardin Walker, 44, of Grapeland, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Rising Star Baptist Church with burial to follow in Mount Zion Cemetery with the Rev. Lawrence Brown officiating. Emanuel Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
He died Sunday at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.
Mr. Walker was born May 29, 1958 in Grapeland to Sammie Lee and Magnolia Bonner Walker.
Mr. Walker attended W.R. Banks School.
He is survived by brothers, Sammie Lee Walker and Turman Walker, both of Houston, and Wilson Walker of Nacogdoches; sisters, Laurretta Warfield and Addie Smith, both of Grapeland, and Carolyn Yates and Nolia Mae Savoy, both of Houston.
Joe Allen Hudgins
Services for Joe Allen Hudgins, 66, of Sioux City, Iowa will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Congregational Methodist Church in Elkhart with Dr. Betty Wilson officiating.
Mr. Hudgins died June 15 in Sioux City after a lengthy illness.
He was born April 16, 1936, in Nacogdoches to Walter O. and Beatrice Wedgeworth Hudgins.
Mr. Hudgins was a member of First Congregational Methodist Church of Elkhart. He had resided in Elkhart since 1974, before moving to Iowa.
He was preceded in death by eight sisters; four brothers; a son, David Allen; and grandsons, Michael Shawn and Joseph Allen.
Mr. Hudgins is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pat Hudgins of Sioux City; daughters, Deborah Thomas of Dutch Harbor, Ala. and Rhonda Coon of Sioux City; son, Kenneth Hudgins of Palestine; brothers, Alford Hudgins of Lone Star, E.F. “Slim” Hudgins of Saratoga and Frank Hudgins of Palestine; sisters, Louise Freeman of San Angelo, Clara Mittleman of Greensboro, N.C., Margie Starr of Palestine, Janie Norman of Crystal Lake and Barbara Coggin of San Antonio.
Nell M. Mitchell
Services for Nell M. Mitchell, 84, of Westworth Village, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at All Saints Episcopal Church in Fort Worth. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Mitchell died Monday at a Grapevine hospital.
She was born in Palestine.
Mrs. Mitchell graduated from Arlington Heights High School and attended Draughn Business College. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Eastern Star in Arlington and Elk Lodge. She was a legal secretary for several law firms.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl E. Mitchell; and sons, Earl E. Mitchell Jr. and Paul T. Mitchell Sr.
Mrs. Mitchell is survived by son, Earl E. Mitchell Jr.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Shannon North Funeral Chapel in Fort Worth.

Charles Ray Jackson
Services for Charles Ray Jackson, 62, of Dallas, and formerly of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse J. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Jerusalem Cemetery in Palestine under the direction of Emanuel Funeral Home.
Mr. Jackson died June 23 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas.
He was born Jan. 4, 1940 in Palestine to Pehnol and Ocie Ala Kelly Jackson Jr.
Mr. Jackson attended Foster Elementary School and Lincoln High School. He was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church. He was a truck driver for Boise Cascade in Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Issac T. Jackson; and sisters, Arree V. Jackson and Evaunn M. Jackson.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nora Etta Jackson of Dallas; children, Charles Ray Jackson Jr. , Michael L. Jackson, Gerald L. Jackson, James A. Jackson, Darryl D.
