Stovall

Anna Mae Stovall, age 71, a native of Nome, TX, died Friday at her home in Batson, TX.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2005 at the Batson Prairie Baptist Church, Batson, TX, at 2:00 P. M., with the Reverend Tolbert R. Hudspeth officiating with burial in the Guedry cemetery, Batson, TX. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2005 at the Batson Prairie Baptist Church from 2:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M.

Anna Mae was born on July 29, 1934 to Red Phillips and Opal Tidwell Phillips. She married Jarvis Joel Stovall on March 17, 1950 in Liberty, TX. They had lived in Elk City, OK for a while and moved to the Batson area in 1987. Anna Mae was a member of the Baptist Church and was a home maker, wife, mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Perry and Bertha Tidwell, parents: Red and Opal Phillips, and two brothers: Charles and Raymond Phillips. Survivors are her husband of 55 years: Jarvis Joel Stovall of Batson, a daughter and son-in-law: Peggy and John Rawlinson of Batson, two sisters: Joan Phillips and Doris Tousha, two grandsons: John William Cook and Jason Joel Cook, and One Great Grandson: Issac Gabrielle Cook

Flower

Alma Lea Flower, age 98, of Anahuac, TX, died Wednesday, December 7, 2005 in the Bayside Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2005 at 10:00 a. m. at the Allison Funeral Service 1101 North Travis Street, Liberty, TX. With the Reverend Rodney Parden officiating with burial following in the Guedry cemetery, Batson, TX. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2005, at Allison at 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.,

Alma was born in Blooming Grove, TX on October 14, 1907 to Robert Richardson and Mabel M. Cherry, she married Vernon Flowers and they were members of the Baptist church. Alma enjoyed working in her garden, and cooking for the family. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors are her daughters: Betty Jean Childress and her husband W. F. Childress of Anahuac, TX, and Bernice Bishop of Smith Point, TX, Five grandchildren: Terry Pevehouse, Gary Flowers, Kenneth Flowers, Cheryl Gather, and Nathan Flowers, nine great grandchildren: Bobby Pevehouse, Clinton Pevehouse, Haley Pevehouse, Kenneth Flowers, Jr., Stephanie Flowers, Nova Dawn Flowers, Tonya Davis, Melissa Dobbs and Stephen Gathers, and six great great grandchildren: Hanna Davis, Zachary Davis, Haley Dobbs, Faith Dobbs, Torrie Flowers, and Grace Gather, and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Cox

Kathryn R. Nichols Cox, 59, of Dayton, died Thursday, December 8, 2005, at the Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

Funeral services will be held at 1 Pm, Sunday, December 11, 2005, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Earthman‚s Resthaven cemetery in Houston. Visitation will be held from 5 Pm to 9 Pm, Saturday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Kathryn was born September 19, 1946 in Marion County, MS, to parents; James E. and Virginia Boyles Nichols, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 32 years. She was a retired cashier from the Stephen F. Austin Elementary School of the Dayton ISD after 23 years of service, a member of the Dayton Athletic Booster Club, former secretary for little league, and former den mother for the cub scouts. She also enjoyed fishing, ceramics, watching movies, and especially spending time with her family.

Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her father: James E. Nichols and brother: Robert H. Nichols. She is survived by her husband of 41 years: Albert Cox of Dayton, sons: Stephen Cox and wife Kelly of Crosby and David Cox and wife Gretchen of Dayton, seven grandchildren, mother: Virginia Boyles Nichols of MS, brother: Jimmie Nichols of Huntsville, sisters: Judy Nichols of MS and Carolyn Lilley of MS, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Rawlinson

Ronald Dale Rawlinson, age 44, of Hull, TX died at his home, Tuesday, December 6, 2005.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at 2:00 P. M., at Allison Funeral Service 1101 North Travis Street, Liberty, TX, with burial in the Moss Hill Community cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, from 12 noon until 2:00 P. M.

Ronnie was born in Liberty, TX, to Ernest Julian Rawlinson and Virginia Lenormand Rawlinson on September 26, 1961. He was a graduate of the Hardin High School in the class of 1978. He was a carpenter for the Beasley Construction Company and a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Ronnie enjoyed fishing, hunting and his friends. He is preceded in death by his father E. J. Rawlinson, and a brother: Larry Rawlinson.

Survivors are his mother: Virginia Rawlinson of Hull, a sister and brother-in-law: Linda and Bobby Bardwell of Hull, and two nephews: John and Steve Bardwell and two great nephews and a great niece and a host of friends.

Baty

Riley Baty, 85, of Rock Spring, Georgia, died Sunday December 4, 2005 in Georgia.

He was preceded in death by: Wife: Mary Lee Baty. He is survived by: Daughters: Ava Lee of Rock Spring and Alva Barrett of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; Sons: James Baty of Summerville, Georgia, Alris Baty of Houston and Adrian Baty of Hankamer; Sisters: Marcell Taylor of Rossville, Georgia, Jerry Durham of Rossville, Tommie Patton of Trenton, Georgia, Vivian Echols of Pass Christion, Mississippi, Tootsie Freeman of Dade County, Alabama, Mina Ruth Okuee of St. Louis and Jo Chastain of Rock Spring; Brother: Voy Baty of Charlottville, Georgia; Seven Grandchildren, Six Great-Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.

Services in Georgia were held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at the Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home in LaFayette Georgia with Rev. C. F. Strickland officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at the Anahuac cemetery in Anahuac with Mr. Bobby Scherer officiating. Local arrangements are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac.

Billeaud

Allene Billeaud, 86, of Bay City, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2004 at the Legacy Nursing Home in Bay City.

She was a native of Navasota and a former 40 year resident of Smith Point. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2004 at the Sterling Funeral Home Chapel in Anahuac with Rev. Charles Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at the Jackson cemetery in Double Bayou under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac.

She is survived by: Daughter: Janice Gill and her husband Don of Bay City; Granddaughter: Carol Cyne of Houma, Louisiana; Great-Granddaughter: Kimberly Nan Domangue of Houma; Great-Grandson: Sean M. Gros of Houma and Great-Great-Grandsons: Alek Domangue and Devin Domangue both of Houma.

She was preceded in death by: Husband: Frank Roy Billeaud and Parents: Morris McGinty and Estelle Mason McGinty.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 14, 2005 at the Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.

Gibson

Alene Gibson, 81, of Liberty, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at her residence.

She was a native of Devers, former resident of Anahuac and had lived in the Liberty area all of her life. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2005 at the Oakdale cemetery in Daisetta, under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. Dr. Jimmie Clemmons will be officiating.

She is survived by: Husband: W. O. Gibson of Liberty; Daughters: Linda Marie Gibson of Liberty and Pennie Fullbright and her husband Jimmy of Clear Lake; Grandchildren: David Fullbright and Kris Gibson and Great-Grandchildren: Monica Fullbright and Hunter Gibson.

Visitation will be from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at the Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.

McNamara

Mildred R. Hedum McNamara, 70, of Dayton, died Monday, January 10, 2005, at the Heritage Villa Nursing Home in Dayton.

Memorial services will be held at 10 Am, Saturday, January 22, 2005, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at a later date. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Mille was born December 16, 1934 in Kiester, MN to parents; Thomas and Louise Fosness Hedum, a former resident of LaPorte, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past four years. She was a retired administrative assistant for the State of Texas Tax Department, graduate of the Kiester High School, and enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with her dog.

Mrs. McNamara was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Theresa Ann Thompson, brothers: Melvin and Richard, and sisters: Doris and Marion. She is survived by her sons: David Thompson of Dayton and Timothy Rundall of St. Paul, MN, daughter: Meredith Arnett of Alexandria, LA, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brothers: Alfred of MN, Lee of MI, Elwood of MI, Arthur of IA, Thomas of NY, and Elmo of IA, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Wilson

John Morris Wilson, 91 of Liberty, TX, passed away January 9, 2005 in Webster, TX.

He was born in Luling, TX, on May 20, 1913, to Joseph and Margaret Ridout Wilson. John was a graduate of the Luling High School in 1931 and a graduate of Texas A & M in 1935 with a degree in petroleum engineering. He joined Texaco and worked as an engineer until he served in the U. S. Army in WWII. After the end of the war, he rejoined Texaco and soon became the district superintendent for the El Campo district. From 1955 until 1957 he served as the U. S. Oil interest representative involved in Aramco. His base was London, England. In 1957 he returned to Liberty TX, to serve as district superintendent for the East Texas District. He retired in 1976 and he chose to give some time back to the community. He was active in Rotary and was a Paul Harris Fellow. He was active in the First United Methodist Church of Liberty, the men’s bible class and the SOS.

He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 66 years, Margaret Beason Wilson, His children: Sue Blackmer and her husband Stanley of Houston, Dr. Curtis Wilson and his wife Sharon of Beaumont, also surviving him are the true joys of his life, his grandchildren: Stephanie and Matthew Blackmer of Houston and Amy, John Curtis and Bobby Wilson of Beaumont.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 12, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church 539 Main Street Liberty, TX at 1:00 p.m. the Reverend Charles Greene officiating, with burial in the Cooke Memorial cemetery, Liberty, TX. A visitation will be held on Tuesday January 11, 2005 at Allison Funeral Service 1101 North Travis Street Liberty, TX. from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Pallbearers will be: Carl Picket, Ed Picket, Carl Griffin, Roy Dane Henslee, Gus Davis and Dale Johnson. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church 539 Main Street Liberty, TX. 77575

Arnold

Richard D. Diddo‚ Arnold, 55, of Liberty, died Friday, January 7, 2004, at his residence in Liberty.

Graveside services will be held at 2 Pm, Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at the Moss Hill cemetery in Moss Hill with burial following. Visitation will be held from 10 Am to 5 Pm, Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Richard was born March 12, 1949 in Dayton, to parents; Marvin and Margarette Weaver Arnold, and has resided in the Dayton/Liberty area throughout his life. He was a lease operator and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, working on cars, and hanging out with the guys.

Mr. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his daughters: Marie Cobb and husband Keith of Dayton and Kimberly Fregia of Dayton, son: Richard D. Arnold, Jr. of Hankamer, special friends: Jimmy and Wanda Tanton of Liberty, sister: Yvonne Dickerson and husband Karl of Hull, uncle: W. C. Weaver of Moss Hill, nine grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Caninenberg

Reta Caninenberg, age 76, of Liberty, died Friday, January 7, 2005 in Liberty, Texas.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 10, 2005 at 2:00 p. m. at the Allison Funeral Service 1101 North Travis Street, Liberty, Texas 77575 with Pastor Bonnie Parker officiating, burial will follow in the Cooke Memorial cemetery in Liberty, TX. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2005 at Allison from 5 p.m. until 8 p. m.

Reta was a native of Athens, Texas, born to Johnie Williams and Margie Hanks Williams, on June 9, 1928, and graduated from the Lufkin High School in 1946. She was the owner of the Montgomery Ward Catalog Agency of Liberty, she was a member of the Ladies Auxillary Elks Club of Liberty. She enjoyed sewing, needle work, and selling stuff.

Reta married Vernon Ray Caninenberg on August 29, 1978 in Liberty, TX. She was a court clerk in the Justice Peace office in Liberty. Reta was a member of the St Paul Lutheran Church in Baytown, TX.

Reta is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors are: husband Vernon Ray Caninenberg of Liberty, children: Johnny Reed and wife D. J. Reed of Baytown, TX, Gene and wife Pam Reed of Caldwell, TX, Donna and husband Mike Alberts of Liberty, TX. eight grandchildren: Candace Reed, Aarron Reed, J. D. Reed, Genia Sattler, Mark Hillier, Shadd Reed, Kelsey Reed, and Brandy Reed, one great granddaughter: Alexis Sattler.
