Tidwell
Charles Eric Tidwell, 65, of Dayton, died Thursday, May 4, 2006, at the Bayshore Hospital in Pasadena.
Graveside services will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, May 6, 2006, at the Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton with burial following thereafter. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Charles was born April 22, 1941, in Havana, AR, to parents; Sam and Lydia Rice Tidwell, a former resident of Louisiana, and has resided in the Dayton area for numerous years. He was a retired truck driver, of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed leather work and collecting CB radios.
Mr. Tidwell was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: James, Opal, and Robert Tidwell. He is survived by his wife of six years: Linda Cryer Tidwell of Dayton, daughters: Kimberly Johnston and husband Jason of Deer Park, Karen Beal of Deer Park, and Deanna Miller and husband Mark of Tomball, son: Ronnie Beal and wife Nicole of Dayton, sisters: Rena Brooks, Barbara Aucoin, and Audrey Corville all of LA, ten grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Haley
Norma R. Davis Haley, 68, of Dayton passed peacefully into the hands of her heavenly father, Friday, May 05, 2006 at home after an extended illness. She was born December 8, 1937 in Bakersfield, California to parents J.W. and Norma O’Hennessy Davis. She graduated from Klein High School and had been a resident of the Dayton area for the past 38 years. Before retiring she worked as secretary in the Liberty County District Attorney Office. She was a member of the Little Country Church in New Caney and formerly a member of the Eastgate Church. She enjoyed quilting, antiques and was a member of the Quilting Club.
Service for Mrs. Haley will be 6:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2006 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Don Nash officiating. Interment will be at Taylor cemetery in Buffalo, Texas at a later date.
She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband of 50 years: Ralph W. Haley of Dayton; two daughters: Tammye Lofton and husband Les of Highlands and Bo Wittman of Dayton; one son: Ralph T. Haley and wife Alicia of Liberty; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three brothers: Bruce Davis and wife Joyce of Spring, Jay R. Davis and wife Cathy of Livingston, and Dan Davis and wife Rosa of Crockett; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Williams
Mary Anne Youngblood Williams, 57, of Dayton, died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at the Liberty-Dayton Community Hospital in Liberty.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, May 4, 2006, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Dayton with burial following at the Holland cemetery in Kountze. Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 9 pm, with wake services 6:30 pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Mary was born June 13, 1948 in Beaumont, to parents; Byron and Kathrine Aquilina Youngblood, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past seven years. She was a graduate of the South Park High School class of 1966, had attended the Houston Community College, former Customer Service Manager for Garlands Grocery in Houston, member of the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and Alter Guild, and enjoyed church activities, crocheting, and other arts and crafts.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents and survived by her husband of 28 years: Lewis Williams of Dayton, son: Jason Youngblood of Port Neches, sister: Martha Mannino of Nederland, nephew: Steve Mannino of Sugarland, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
Roach
Shirley Roach, 68, of Liberty, died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at the Liberty-Dayton Hospital.
She was born June 2, 1937 in Resaea, Georgia to her late parents Charles W. Hibberts and Mary R. Seabolt Hibberts. Shirley had lived in Liberty for the last 14 years and was a homemaker.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the Palms Memorial Park in Dayton with Rev. Bobby Hart officiating.
She is survived by: Sons: Charles Roach and his wife Delva of Dayton, Robert Roach and his wife Helen of Liberty, Jerry Roach and his wife Vickie of Orange and Joseph Roach and Peter Sanches of Liberty; Daughters: Rebecca Hauser and her husband David of Melborn, Florida. Cindy Bouknight and her husband David of Hallsville and Anita Sykes and her husband Richard of Hallsville; Sister: Jewel Moon of Gulf Breeze, Florida; 23 Grandchildren; 42 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild and Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Relatives.

Smikal
Rosie Smikal, 69, of Dayton, died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at the Triumph Northwest Hospital in Houston.
She was born February 1, 1937 in Liberty to her late Parents: Louis Cashat and Ada LeBlanc Cashat, lived in the Dayton area all of her life and was a member of the Crosby United Pentecostal Church. Rosie was best known for her kindness and compassion. She regularly made peanut and pecan brittle and distributed it around the Dayton area; this brittle was among the best ever made. Her cooking was not limited to the brittle; she was an accomplished cook of all types of food. Rosie also enjoyed taking care of anybody that needed anything.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at the Sterling Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with Rev. Gary Madden, Rev. R. T. Gray, Rev. Gary Piercy and Rev. William Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow at the Palms Memorial Park in Dayton..

Moore
Johnny Moore, 65, of Dayton, died Friday, April 28, 2006 at his residence.
He was born March 17, 1941 in Richmond, Virginia to his late Parents: John Richard Moore and Linnie B. Murray Moore. Johnny lived in Dayton for the last 44 years, was a retired Supervisor from Gulf/Chevron in Baytown after 27 years of service, a U.S. Air Force Veteran and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2006 at the Schulenburg City cemetery in Schulenburg, Texas with Rev. Bob Hataway officiating.

Wilcher
Daisy Viola Wilcher, 82 of Crosby died on Wednesday April 26, 2006 at the Northeast Medical Center Hospital in Humble.
She was born on August 16, 1923 to Parents: A. K. Bogie and Lillie Mae Sykes Bogie in Baskin, Louisiana. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother. She was able to put three families together and make it work, with the Yours, Mine and Ours theory that really did work. She lived for children and grandchildren and devoted her entire life to her family and was a member of the Woodridge Baptist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana. A very strong lady, she had worked picking cotton as a young woman and was even a welder during World War II.
She is preceded in death by her Parents: A. K. and Lillie Bogie; Son: Frankie Dewayne Wilcher; Daughter: Julia Annette Dugat; Grandchildren: Perry Keith Thornton, Korey Dewayne Wilcher, Melvin Scott Blakley and Shelia Dianne McBeth; Sister: Fannie Hart and Brother: Jesse Bogie. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 28, 2006 from 5:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M. at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. Lauzon
George Leo Lauzon, III, 21, born January 24, 1985 in Galveston, Texas died Saturday, April 22, 2006 in a river rafting accident. He was a loving child who loved life.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Friday, April 28th, at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Doug Guthier officiating. Burial will follow the service at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock.
The family will receive visitors after 5:00 pm, Thursday, April 27th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.
George graduated from Dayton High School in 2003 and was attending Galveston Community College. He assisted with the Galveston YMCA After School Program. George enjoyed being with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Fran and Leo Lauzon, Sr.
George is survived by his parents, Peggy and Jim Barmore, and Leo Lauzon, Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Tony Topping; and two stepbrothers, Sean and Derek Barmore; grandparents, Paul and Naida Jensen, and Bill and Muriel Barmore; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jim Barmore, Tony Topping, Mike Skaer, Oscar Skaer, Matt Murphy, and Luke Calvert.
Honorary pallbearers are Derek and Sean Barmore, Chris Stout, and Bobby “Bubba” Jones.

Anderson
Michael Ray Anderson, 49, of Longview died on Monday, April 24, 2006 at a Longview medical center.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Welch Funeral Home in Longview. The family will receive friends at the home of Laurie Anderson in Hardin, Texas on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. After a private memorial service.
Mr. Anderson was born August 9, 1956 in Dallas, Texas to Charles Billy and Ruth Nell Lovegrove Anderson. He moved to Longview 5 years ago after living in Hardin, Texas for 13 years. He was a welder by trade and attended school and grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his daughter, Sarah Trevino of Lockhart; son, Brent Anderson and daughter, Gaylynn Anderson, both of Hardin; Sister & brother-in-law, Pamela and Dan McGregor of Longview; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Green
Mildred "Peggy" Green, 88, of Liberty, died Saturday, April 22, 2006, in Brenham, Texas.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 23, 2006, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, at Allison Funeral Service in Liberty, Texas. Funeral services will be Monday, April 24, 2006, at 1:00pm, at the First Baptist Church in Liberty, with her grandson, Reverend Kyle Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Hardin Chapel cemetery.
She was born December 4, 1917, in Sour Lake to parents, John Fredrick Swensen and Sadie Bolin Swensen. She graduated from Daisetta High School. She was married
to William Steve Green until his death in 1983. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Liberty, and a former member of Central Baptist Church in Daisetta. She loved Liberty and enjoyed serving her church. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, William Steve Green.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Green, daughter, Suzanne Roberts and her husband, Tommy, grandsons, Kyle Roberts and wife Nannette, Koby Roberts and wife Jaime, and Keb Roberts and wife Jennifer, granddaughters, Molly Manley and husband James, Henri Rowell and husband Billy, and Scarlett Love and husband Steve, and ten great-grandchildren.

Sharon Mae Ray, 51, of Liberty died Saturday, April 22, 2006 at her residence. She was born August 24, 1954 in Liberty, Texas to parents Travis Bailey Sr. and Tressa Fregia Bailey. She graduated from Hull-Daisetta and lived in the area all her life. She enjoyed being with family, especially with her grandchild. She loved outdoor sports, hunting, fishing and camping.
Services for Mrs. Ray will be Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Pace Stancil Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with interment at Moss Hill cemetery in Moss Hill. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Visitation for Mrs. Ray will be held Monday, April 24 from 9:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ray is survived by her Father: Travis Bailey Sr. and wife Edna of Votaw; Mother: Tressa Bailey of Hull; Sons: Shannon Earley and wife Tricia of Lufkin, Duane Ray of Moss Hill; Sister: Sheila Sones and husband Timothy of Moss Hill; Brothers: Thomas Roy Bailey of Moss Hill and Travis Bailey, Jr. of Hull; One Granddaughter: Samanatha Nicole Earley; and numerous nieces and nephews also survived.
Harrell
Ann Harrell, 29, of Beaumont, died Thursday, April 20, 2006. A Visitation will be Friday, April 21, 2006, from 5pm until 8pm at the Allison Funeral Service Chapel in Liberty, Texas. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 22, 2006, 4:00pm, at Hardin Baptist Church with Reverend Tony Hines officiating. Burial will follow in the Hardin Chapel cemetery.
Ann was born July 5, 1976 in Pearland, Texas to parents, Robert Harrell and Linda Bradley. Anne attended school in Hardin, Texas, but graduated at Ingram High School. She attended Scheiner College in Kerrville, Texas for three years majoring in psychology.
She was musically inclined. She played the harmonica, guitar, piano, and clarinette. She was fun loving, had a heart of gold, and was loved by all who knew her. She got her first Easy Bake Oven at the age of 26, from her Aunt Pam.
Ann worked as a waitress at Red Lobster in Beaumont, Texas and had received numerous letters of accomadation.
Ann was preceded in death by her grandfather James Ronald Bradley, and an uncle, Keith Wayne Bradley. She is survived by her mother; Linda Isham, father; Robert Harrell, stepfather; James Isham, grandparents; Glory and Les Cooper, and Marge Robertson, aunt; Pam Porter and an uncle; James Wesley Bradley and many other relatives and friends.
Smith
Carol Jane Smith, 40, of Elkmont, Alabama died April 17, 2006 a her home. She attended Ardmore Alabama High School and had lived in Elmont for the past 10 years and had been employed by 3M for more than 12 years in Decatur.
Services for Ms. Smith will be Friday, April 21, 2006 at Limestone Chapel in Elkmont, Alabama. Interment will follow 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 23, at Hardin Chapel cemetery in Hardin, Texas under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton, TX.
She is survived by her son: John Cody Hargrove and wife Holly Marie of Athens, AL; father: Charles Horton of Savannah, TN; mother: Eva Horton of Ardmore, Al; granddaughter: Anna Grace Hargrove of Athens, AL.; nieces: Amanda Jean Jackson and Casey Leshea Clark; nephews: Jory Ray Jackson and James Haden Clark; aunts: Connie Campbell and husband Shorty of Hardin and Geraldine Jeanes and husband David of Hardin. Betty Jo Brackeen, age 69, died at her home in Liberty, Saturday, April 15, 2006.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at the Liberty Church of Christ, 3201 North Main Street, Liberty, TX. At 2:00 P. M., with Ministers Danny Miller and Gene Duval officiating, with burial in the Cooke Memorial cemetery, Liberty, TX. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 2006 at the Allison Funeral Service 1101 North Travis Street, Liberty, Texas 77575 from 5:00 P. M., until 8:00 P. M.
Betty Jo, ‘Jody’, was born to James Marcus Neill and Willie Pearl Barnes Neill on January 15, 1937, in Hamlin, Jones County, Texas.
Jody was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and will be missed greatly. Jody loved to sew, paint and work on her cross word puzzles. She was an active member of the Liberty Church of Christ.
Jody is preceded in death by her parents, a sister: Gladys Cox, three brothers, Melvin, J. B., and Seth Neill.
Survivors are her husband, Bobby Carroll Brackeen, Of Liberty, TX, a daughter and son-in-law: Brenda and Wayne Patterson of Katy, TX, three grandchildren: Dana and Chris Kestler, Justin Callaway, and Morgan Patterson, and one great granddaughter: Abigail Kestler.
