Anderson
Donal “Donnie” James Anderson, 51, of Liberty, died Saturday, March 23, 2007.
He was born April 2, 1955 in Phoenix, Arizona to parents: David M. and Betty West Anderson. He was a longtime resident of Alvin where he graduated in 1973 from Alvin High School. He had lived in Liberty for the past 13 years and was a member of the Methodist Church. Donnie had worked as a welder and heavy equipment operator.
Services are 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Fosburgh officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m., Landrum cemetery in Fannett under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 20 years: Brenda Kay Swearingen of Liberty; his son: Donal J. Anderson, Jr. of Brazoria Co. and two sisters: Reba and Sharon of the Navajo Nation also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Schoonover
Lynette R. Patterson Schoonover, 47, of Dayton, died Friday, March 23, 2007 at East Houston Regional Hospital in Houston.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2007 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home with interment following at Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 5p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Lynette was born October 13, 1959, in Gurdon, Arkansas and has resided in the Dayton area for the pas 20 years. She was a graduate of the Gurdon High School, a registered nurse at East Houston Regional Hospital, member of the First Baptist Church in Liberty, and enjoyed reading and collecting lighthouses, coffee cups, and apple collectables.
Mrs. Schoonover was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband: James Schoonover of Dayton, son: Mark of Liberty; daughter: Heather and husband Keith of Gurdon, AR, granddaughters: Haley and Cara, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
Morris
Coy Magnolia McGill Morris, 89, of Huffman, died Friday, March 23, 2007 at home.
She was born April 28, 1917 in Wicks, Arkansas to parents, Archie M. and Hattie Terry McGill. She had lived in the Huffman area for 64 years, previously living in Crosby. She had worked as a bus driver, as a custodian, and in the cafeteria for Huffman ISD, and as a mail carrier for the Huffman Post Office. She enjoyed dancing, the guitar, singing as she did on the radio when young, baking cakes, gardening and keeping her yard. Mrs. Morris was a member of the First Baptist Church in Huffman where she had been a part of the choir.
Services for Mrs. Morris will be 3:00 p.m., Monday, March 26, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Huffman with Rev. Steele officiating. Interment will follow at Huffman cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Roy F. Morris, two sisters: Carmen Babb and Edith Ross, and two brothers: Curtis and Bobby McGill. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Frank and Merle Morris of Dayton; her daughter and son-in-law: Yvonne and Billy Culp of Huffman; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Whitehead
Sharon Ann Whitehead, 52, of Liberty, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Beaumont.
She was born March 29, 1954 in Liberty, Texas to parents, Bruce and Ruby Jordan Mancil. She was a lifelong resident of Liberty where she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Services for Mrs. Whitehead will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 25, 2007 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Cooke cemetery.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.
Mrs. Whitehead was preceded in death by her father, grandmother: Lucille Musgrove; and brothers: Rocky and James Mancil. She is survived by her husband of 16 years: Donald Whitehead of Liberty; her sister: Donna Mancil of Louisiana; her brother: Bruce L. Mancil, Jr. of Louisiana; nieces and nephews: Elizabeth Mancil, Jennifer Skiles and John Brandon; Daniel Meyers, Thomas Russell, and Josh Mancil; also numerous great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bracewell
Lee Roy Bracewell, 80, of Liberty, died Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Liberty-Dayton Community Hospital.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 23, 2007, at 3:00PM at Central Baptist Church of Liberty, Texas with Reverend Sam Knight officiating.
Mr. Bracewell was born July 6, 1926, to parents, Carl V. Bracewell and Mertie Elnora Norris Bracewell in Moss Bluff, Texas. He worked as an air-conditioning repairman.
Mr. Bracewell was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marie Ross Bracewell, one daughter, Rena Mae Pruitt, and one son, Maurice Pettijohn.
He is survived by one son, Lee Roy Bracewell Jr., four brothers, Carl V. Bracewell Jr., Eugene Bracewell and wife Pricilla, John Bracewell, Barney Bracewell, four sisters, Louise Quimby, Dorothy Nugent, Ann Skaggs and husband David, Carolyn Maddox, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Felicia S. Burch Whittington, 33, of Liberty, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at the East Houston Regional Hospital in Houston.

Felicia was born in Liberty, July 27, 1973, to parents; Jimmy Burch and Roberta Marcontell, and has resided in the Liberty area throughout her life. She was a graduate of the West Hardin High School class of 1991, had attended three years at Lamar University, and enjoyed swimming, basketball, gardening, and interior decorating.
Mrs. Whittington was preceded in death by her mother: Roberta Marcontell Calhoun, grandparents: Arnold and Ella Mae Marcontell, and Bay M. Burch, aunts: Barbara J. Burch and Pat Holloway, and uncles: Aaron C. Burch and James Burch, Sr. She is survived by her father: Jimmy Burch and wife Debbie J. of Liberty, son: Justin T. Whittington of Lumberton, brothers: Jimmy K. Burch and wife Tonya of Kenefick, James “Craig” Burch and wife Misty of Kenefick, and Travis E. Williamson of Liberty, sisters: Jennifer Arnold and husband Shawn of Kileen and Kimberly Armstrong of Liberty, grandmother: Helen V. Reynolds
Sandra Gaye Reynolds, 63, of Dayton, died Thursday, March 15, 2007. She was born November 27, 1943 in Houston, Texas to parents: Cecil and Alma Wilson Reynolds. She had been a life long resident of Houston before moving to Dayton one year ago. She enjoyed ceramics, fishing, the guitar and singing.
Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 24, 2007 at the Granger home in Dayton. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.
Miss Reynolds was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Lillie Jayne Lowery and Beatrice Myrick; and brother: Cecil Dean Reynolds. She is survived by her niece: Diana Granger and husband Paul of Dayton, also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Hellyer
Jessica Cyné Hellyer, born May 24, 1992, died March 14, 2007.
She had been in Texas Children’s Hospital for the past five weeks suffering from pneumonia, and a staph infection in her lungs. Jessica was a student in Life Skills class at Liberty High School. Jessica loved going places and riding her horse with her Mom.
She is survived by her parents, Rod and Glenda Hellyer of Liberty, brother, Jeff, sister, Heather Hellyer Blaylock and husband J., great grandmothers; Lee Nelson of Smith Point, Louise Kelley of Hardin, grandparents, Eunice Jensen of Keokuk, Iowa, Alton and Necil Kelley of Smith Point, “Other Mama” Vicki Huckaby and Brittany Huckaby as Big Sister, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Jordan
Karly Lynn Jordan, infant daughter of Angel Jordan and Larry Poynter died March 13, 2007. She was born March 12, 2007 in Pasadena, Texas.
Services for Karly will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2007 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hilton officiating.
Interment will follow at Magnolia Park cemetery. Visitation will be prior to service time on Friday.
Little Karly was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Dennis W. Vorse and Larry Poynter; and her great-grandmother: Inez Edwards Vorse. She is survived by her parents, her sisters: Skyelar, Shelbye, and Bailey; her grandparents: Donna Vorse and Roger Louviere of Dayton, and Diane Poynter of Manvel; Great-grandparents: Homer and Dovie Vorse of Tennessee Colony, Tennessee.
Leger
Laura Lucinda Leger, 18, of Point Blank, passed away on March 10, 2007.
She was born on December 27, 1988 in Houston, Texas to Parents: Joseph Donald Leger and Cheryl Posey Leger. Laura was an 18 year old student at Dayton high school. She loved riding her bike and taking long walks with her friends. She also enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends sharing the latest gossip and laughing with them. She was also a very caring person who wanted to make sure her friends were never in need of anything. Her greatest love though, was her baby girl Angel. She loved that baby more than life itself. She leaves this life too soon, but a small part of her will live on through her daughter.
She is preceded in death by her Father: Joseph Donald Leger.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 15, 2007 from 5:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M. and Friday, March 16, 2007 from 9:00 A. M. until 9:00 P. M. at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.

Funeral service for Rosa Lee Jones, 69, of Liberty, will be held Wednesday March 14 at 11:00 AM, at the trinity Valley Baptist Church with the Reverend Marvin Eterridge officiating with burial in Wells Memorial cemetery.
A native of Liberty, she was a nurse for the Liberty-Dayton Hospital. A graduate of Liberty Training High, a member of the usher board of Trinity Valley Baptist church. She died on March 19, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont after an illness.
Visitation will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM until time of service at the church.
She is survived by two sons Roland Jones and Ames, Anthony Jones o Channelview, Four daughters, Sharon Jones, Antoinette Redmond, Alisa Jones and Agnes Jones all of Liberty. Three sisters Ola Mae Jones of Dayton, Jane Laviene and Nellie Darby of Liberty and a host of other relatives and friends.
Fregia
Cyntha Louise Summers Fregia, 63, of Liberty, died Sunday, March 11, 2007 in Baytown, Texas after an extended illness. She was born May 11, 1943 in Houston, Texas to parents, James R. “Jack” and Mary Grace Noles Summers. She had lived most of her life in Liberty, was a 1961 graduate of Liberty High School and had attended Lee College. Mrs. Fregia was also a member of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Posse, Liberty County Mounted 4-H Drill Team, Co-Founder of the Liberty County Battered Women’s organization, and she had worked as a cashier and greeter at Wal-Mart. She enjoyed needlepoint, playing cards, playing the piano, singing, and dancing.
Services for Mrs. Fregia will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.O Hendricks and Rev. John Odom officiating. Interment will follow at Palms Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: William and Jimmie Hearron. She is survived by her husband of 46 years: Chester Fregia of Liberty; her daughters: Brenda Whitmire of Baytown, Cyndi Herrington and husband David of Dayton; son: Ronnie Fregia; her daughter-in-law: Rhonda Fregia; eight grandchildren: Joshua Bush, Jennifer Bush, Kevin King, Korie Fregia, Brandi King, Ryan Herrington, Bryce Fregia, and Keatyn Ward and great-granddaughter: Jayden Forsyth; sister: Theda Moore of Hardin and brother: Edward “Flupe” Summers of Hardin; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Worthy
Alice Loraine Brown Worthy, 95, of Moss Bluff, died March 11, 2007 peacefully at Liberty Health Care after an extended illness. She was born May 29, 1911 in Cleveland, Texas to parents, Steve and Lola Whitton Brown. She was a lifelong resident of Moss Bluff, where she raised her family. She loved her family and enjoyed crocheting.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Worthy will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Worthy cemetery, Moss Bluff. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph E. “Pat” Worthy, brothers, Jim and Steve Brown, and sister, Sally Stephens.
She is survived by her son, Joseph E. Davis
Harvard Eugene Davis, 74, of Liberty, died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at his residence.
He was born April 19, 1932 in Liberty to parents, Carl Davis and Annie Jane Smart Davis.
He was a 1950 graduate of Liberty High School, served in the Air Force during the Korean War, and was a retired supervisor from Texas Gulf Sulpher. He was a resident in the area all his life; enjoyed fishing and gardening. He loved the Lord, was devoted to his family, and his grandchildren were the love of his life.
Services for Mr. Davis will be 2:00 p.m., March 13, 2007 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Johnny Burk and Pastor Rocky Fondren officiating. Interment will follow at Hardin Chapel cemetery, Hardin. Texas. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2007 evening at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years: Annie Jo Davis of Liberty; sons: Howard G. Davis and wife Donna of Liberty, and Bobby Davis and wife Andrea of Liberty; also, grandchildren: Kristy White, Kandis LeJeune, Brandon Davis, Joey Davis and 8 great-grandchildren.

Carol Lou Douglas, 69, of Kenefick, died on Sunday, March 11, 2007 at her residence in Dayton.
She was born on December 24, 1937 in Oklahoma City, OK, to Parents: Wayne Nelson and Virginia Denniston Nelson.
