Mrs. Carter died this morning at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.
J.D. Crawford
Services for J.D. Crawford, 79, of Palestine, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Revs. Billy McClelland and Michael Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
Mr. Crawford died Wednesday at Palestine Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born Aug. 24, 1923, in Anderson County.
Mr. Crawford was self-employed. He was reared in the Ebenezer community. He united with Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church and later moved to Houston.
He is survived by sister, Josie Anna Darden of Palestine; and stepson, Phillip Wiley.
Pallbearers will be Elvin Crawford, Pat Johnson, Kenneth Randle, Leonard Randle, Elmer Ricks and Robert A. Sumuel.
Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Crawford, Richard Crawford, William “Tom” Johnson and Rogers Sumuel II.
Joe Ed Steely
Services for Joe Ed Steely, 86, of Grapeland, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. William Snidow officiating. Burial will follow in Dailey Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Grapeland.
Mr. Steely died Tuesday night at Silver Hills Nursing Home in Montgomery.
He was born Nov. 27, 1915 in Houston County to Hugh and Irene Beavers Steely.
Mr. Steely was a Baptist. He was employed with the American Can Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Ruth Steely, in 1997; and son, Chris Edward Steely.
Mr. Steely is survived by daughters, Nelda Deweese of Houston and June Shultz of Waller; son, Robert Steely of Elkhart; sisters, Maxine Beasley of Grapeland and Betty Jean Beasley of Dallas; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert Steely Jr., Jimmy Bentley, Chris Steely, Ed Faterkowski, Chad Steely, Tommy Bentley, Skip Wagoner and Jimmy Bentley Jr.

Easter J. Morrow
Services for Easter J. Morrow, 79, of Oakwood, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Green Bay A.M.E. Church in Tucker. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Emanuel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Morrow died Aug. 23 at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 22, 1922 in Oakwood to Richard and Leola Johnson Price.
Mrs. Morrow received her education from Henry High School in Elkhart. She was a member of Green Bay A.M.E. Church. She was employed at Lakeview Methodist Conference Center for many years before retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Morrow, in 1941; brother, Edell Price; and son, James Morrow Jr.
Mrs. Morrow is survived by children, Connie L. Gilmore of Palestine, Frances Dixon of San Jose, Calif. and James W. Morrow of Palestine; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Frank Robinson Jr., Mitchell Ray Robinson, Cleveland Robinson, J.D. Robinson, Richard Allen Robinson and Kenneth Robinson.
William T. Means
Services for William T. Means, 84, of Teague, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Union Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Vernon Busby officiating. Burial will be in Asia Cemetery in Teague under the direction of Emanuel Funeral Home, Teague.
Mr. Means died Monday in Mexia.
He was born Oct. 22, 1917 in Limestone County to Leroy and Nancy Demus Means.
Mr. Means attended school at Gison Chapel in Limestone County. He was an ordained deacon and member of Union Primitive Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was honorably discharged.
Mr. Means was employed at Teague Brick & Tile. He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Lillie J. Jackson Means, in 1998; brothers, Jessie, Joshua, Namon, L.M. and Earl; sister, Margie; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Means is survived by daughters, Claudine L. Gaines and Odessa Mims, both of Teague; brother, George Means of Cleveland, Ohio; sister, Josie Burrell of Teague; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
A wake will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Freddie Bonner
Services for Freddie Bonner, 70, of Oakwood, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lone Star Cemetery under the direction of Emanuel Funeral Home.
Mr. Bonner died Tuesday in Palestine.
He was born June 29, 1932, in Freestone County to Arthur and Allie Bonner.
Mr. Bonner attended school in Butler. He was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-55.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brendette Lagale; and brother, Tom Terry.
Mr. Bonner is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carrie B. Bonner of Oakwood; sons, Freddie L. Bonner and Charles Bonner, both of Oakwood, and Freddie Jackson of Waco; daughters, Annie Bell Bonner of Fairfield and Alice Mae Beck of Oakwood; brothers, Charlie Bonner of Lubbock and Washington “Bud” Terry of Dallas; sisters, Frankie Terry and Muggie Manning, both of Oakwood; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Raymond Travis Myers
Services for Raymond Travis Myers, 84, of Fairfield, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Round Prairie Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Capps Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Myers died Friday in Fairfield.
He was born Nov. 18, 1917 in Freestone County to James and Mary Myers.
Mr. Myers was a member of New Life Assembly of God and served in the Army during World War II. He was a retired motor grader from Freestone County.
Mr. Myers is survived by his wife, Lura Bess Myers; daughters, Patsy Sleziak of Jewett and Sue Flandry of Fairfield; sons, Charles and James Myers, both of Fairfield; sisters, Ruby Metzgar and Lilla Chappell, both of Fairfield; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dannie Flandry, David Jones, Jordan Myers, Jason Myers, Andrew Myers, Jimmie Harris, Michael Warren and Brad Franklin.

Jerry Michael Stuckey

Mr. Stuckey died Thursday in Dallas.
He was born Jan. 2 1941 in Wetuma, Okla. to Johnnie Earl and Claudia Stuckey.
Mr. Stuckey is survived by his wife, Karen Stuckey; daughter, Angie Stuckey of Florida; sons, David and Robert Stuckey, both of Fort Worth, and James and Jay Stuckey, both of Arlington; sister, JoAnn Wallace of Grand Prairie; brother, William Stuckey of Arkansas; half-sister, Judith Stuckey of The Colony; and eight grandchildren.

Mr. Durham was a Baptist and attended Fairfield public school.
He was preceded in death by his father; and his brother Morris Durham.
Mr. Durham is survived by his children, Jackie Jones of Cedar Hill, Vonita Jefferson of Lancaster, Billy Bernard Durham of Mexia and Darryl Dixon of Richardson; his mother, Ruby Jo Durham of Fairfield; brothers, Tommy Durham of Los Angeles, John Lee Durham, Ricky Durham and Bobby Durham, all of Fairfield, Ike Durham of Carson Calif.; sister, Sandra Harrison of Oakwood; and a host of grandchildren.
Jimmie Roberts Richey
Services for Jimmie Lorene Roberts Richey, 66, of Teague, were Friday at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Donie with the Rev. Charles Jordan officiating. Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Teague handled arrangements.
Mrs. Richey died Tuesday at Hillcrest Baptist Hospital in Waco.
She was born Feb. 3, 1936 in Teague.
Mrs. Richey was a LVN. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waco.
She was preceded in death by her parents, E.H. and Nona Laningham Roberts.
Mrs. Richey is survived by a son, Joe Richey of Waco; daughters, Sandra Richey of Mexia and Brenda Cox of Keller; brothers, Haskell Roberts of Dew, Dennis Roberts of Daingerfield and Kenneth Roberts of Teague; sisters, June Smith of Teague and Beverly Farris of Palestine; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Jack Hale Murchison
Services for Jack Hale Murchison, 68, of Houston, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at New Addition Annex with the Rev. Carey Sayers officiating. Burial will be in the New Addition Annex under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Chapelwood Methodist Church in Houston.
Mr. Murchison died Saturday at his home.
He was born February, 1934 in Grapeland to Jack M. Murchison and Maggie Hale Murchison.
Mr. Murchison grew up in Palestine. He married Catherine Miller in 1956. He was a graduate of University of Texas. He was an engineer in Houston. In 1968 he became an owner of Whirlwind Steel Buildings.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Mary Elizabeth Murchison Ross.
Mr. Murchison is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Catherine Murchison of Houston; daughter, Jill Murchison Bokemeyer of Houston; son, Jack Miller Murchison of Houston; five grandchildren.
Logan Rae Worley
Services for Logan Rae Worley, 23, of Seattle, Wash., will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Dutch Conditt officiating. Burial will be in Fields Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Worley died Dec. 20 in Seattle.
He was born May 2, 1979 in Houston to Larry Ronald Worley and Sheila Renia Shaffer Worley.
Mr. Worley was a graduate of Garland High School and attended Computer Business School in Seattle. He had been employed by Microsoft Computer Company as a Web developer for the past seven years.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Christopher Columbus (Lum) Worley and Linnie Rice Worley.
Mr. Worley is survived by his father of Fairfield and his mother of Denton; sisters, Cornishia Nichol Worley of Baytown and Talania Everett of Raleigh, Miss.; brother, Christopher James Bolton Worley of Raleigh, Miss.; grandparents, Mitchell and Mary (Peaches) Worley of Fairfield.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Worley, Martin B. Worley, Curtis Don Ferguson, Frankie Ivy, Gregory Keynon and Scotty Allen.
