Lorenzo Edward Delaney
Service for Lorenzo Edward Delaney, 92, of Crockett will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. H. Dolphus Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Crockett under the direction of Emanuel Funeral Home, Crockett.
Mr. Delaney died Wednesday at East Texas Medical center in Crockett.
He was born Nov. 11, 1909 in Crockett to Emanuel and Mentra Westbrook Delaney.
Mr. Delaney received his education in the Crockett Public School. He later attended Texas College for two years. He was a member of Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Victoria Johnson, Ardith Nichols, Elsie Young, Olivia Delaney, Horace Delaney, the Rev. T.L. Delaney and Diamond Delaney.
Mr. Delaney is survived by his wife, Ada Atmore Delaney of Crockett; and brother, Leslie M. Delaney of Dallas.
David Edward McGinn
Services for David Edward McGinn, 82, of Fairfield, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Capps Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Harry Moore officiating. Burial will be in Lake Chapel Cemetery in Freestone County.
Mr. McGinn died Sunday at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco.
He was born Jan. 7, 1920 in Harrison, Ark. to David Edgar and Ada Mankins McGinn.
Mr. McGinn was a truck stop manager. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Assembly of God Church.
Mr. McGinn is survived his wife, Lettie Hudman McGinn of Fairfield; sons, Edgar Harold McGinn of Ashdown, Ark., Gene Sutton and Glenn McGinn, both of Fairfield; daughters, Pat Walters of Carson City, Nev., Charlotte Briggs of Smithville, and Laverne Moore of Fairfield; sisters, Deed Johnson of Las Cruces, N.M. and Elna Weems of Hemiston, Ore.; 29 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Gerald Rose
Services for Gerald Rose, 73, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dr. Steve Holcomb and Ansel Bradshaw officiating. Burial will following in Palestine City Cemetery.
Mr. Rose died Monday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 8, 1928 in Palestine to Kendricks Garfield Rose and Lola Alice Stalsby Rose.
Mr. Rose was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He was retired from Union Pacific Railroad as a train master after 40 years of service. He served as captain in the Texas Army National Guard, 49th Armored Division for 18 years. He was on active duty during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Mr. Rose was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 31.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ercelle Jones and Margaret Higginbothom.
Mr. Rose is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pat Rose of Palestine; daughters, Kellie Allison Stelting of Houston and Shannon Dawn DuBois of Arlington; son, Jerry Lyle Rose of Brownsville; sister, Christine Cunningham of Zavalla; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be W.A. Handorf, Jimmy Jones, Ansel Bradshaw, Gerald Stelting, Bob Jarrett and Don Walters.
Honorary pallbearers will be Don Densen, Earl Zimmerman and Buck Kennedy.

Edward L. Hendon
Services for Edward L. Hendon, 89, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Roselawn Park with the Rev. Kevin Wilmott officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Hendon died Sunday at Greenbrier Nursing Home in Palestine.
He was born July 27, 1912 in Rusk County to Thomas Jefferson and Willie L. Shuller Hendon.
Mr. Hendon was an electrician and was employed by the Missouri Pacific Railroad.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Hendon, in 1981; and sisters, Jerry Denman and Vernie Ray.
Mr. Hendon is survived by sister, Jeffie Boyett of Greenville; special friend, Ruby L. White of Palestine; two brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Franklin Williams, Bobby Fulmer and nephews.

Stella Jean Moorman
Services for Stella Jean Moorman, 72, of Buffalo, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Buffalo Funeral Home with Duane Moorman officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Cemetery.
Mrs. Moorman died Saturday in a Tyler hospital.
She was born Jan. 20, 1930 in Mississippi. She was a member of Church of Christ and a homemaker. She had lived in Buffalo for the past 23 years having moved to the area from Dallas.
Mrs. Moorman was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William Russell “Bill” Moorman, in 1999.
She is survived by sons, Bobby James Moorman and William Eddie Moorman, both of Buffalo, Charles Wade Moorman of Mesquite and Thomas Earl Moorman of Liberty City; daughters, Linda Sue Walters of Teague, Wanda Gail Pearson of Waxahachie, Rebecca Jean “Becky” Stennett of Alba and Kitty Darlene Moore of Buffalo; four brothers; two sisters; 24 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today with the family present beginning at 6 p.m.; and from 8 a.m. to time of service Monday at the funeral home.
Coy Jean Goode
Services for Coy Jean Goode, 65, of Grapeland, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at South Park Cemetery in Pearland with Rayford Welch officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Grapeland.
Mrs. Goode died at her home Tuesday.
She was born June 29, 1937, in Alvin to Herman Coy and Minnie Briggs Hornback.
Mrs. Goode was a homemaker. She was a member of the West Side Church of Christ in Alvin and the Grapeland/Augusta Chapter No. 120 Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her brother, J.C. Hornback.
Mrs. Goode is survived by her husband, Bill Goode of Grapeland; daughter, Rhonda Le Ribeus of Saudi Arabia; son, Ronald Goode of Sweeny; sisters, Mary Ellen “Cricket” Plaster and LaVerne “Missy” Tatum, both of Alvin; and four grandchildren.

Georgia Lee Stovall
Services for Georgia Lee Stovall, 80, of Elkhart, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Revs. Marc Lombard and Floyd Petersen officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Stovall died Thursday at Spring Seasons of Elkhart.
She was born Feb. 20, 1922 in Palestine to Johnny Thomas and Lillie McCann Lipscomb.
Mrs. Stovall was a homemaker and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Stovall.
Mrs. Stovall is survived by daughter, Sharon Montgomery of Cleburne; and son, Bobby Stovall.
Pallbearers will be Buel Grigsby, Byron Davis, Johnny Brown, Johnny Lipscomb III, James Vick and Bill Lively.
Honorary pallbearers will be J.D. Malone, Sammy McMorris and Mike Gordon.

Jan Robert Myers
Services for Jan Robert Myers, 68, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster with the Rev. Charles Grasty officiating.
Mr. Myers died Friday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 18, 1934, in Winchester, Ind. to Glenn Myers and Glenda Briner Myers.
Mr. Myers was a Quaker. He was a member of the Palestine Masonic Lodge No. 31 AF&AM and the Scottish Rites Order. He retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice where he had been a sign shop supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Myers is survived by his wife, Martha Myers of Palestine; son, Tim Myers of Palestine; sister, Linda Puterbrugh of Georgia; brothers, Mark Myers of Pennsylvania and Jay Myers of Indiana; and two grandchildren.
James Edward Dunnahoe
Services for James Edward Dunnahoe, 76, of Mart, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Herrington/Land of Memory Chapel in Palestine with the Rev. Doug Washburn officiating. Burial will follow at Land of Memory Cemetery.
Mr. Dunnahoe died Thursday in a Waco hospital.
He was born May 23, 1926 in Anderson County to Fred and Ima Woody Dunnahoe.
Mr. Dunnahoe had lived in Anderson County for most of his life and was living in Mart at the time of his death.
He was a member of the Montalba Baptist Church. He was a rancher and served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.
Mr. Dunnahoe is survived by sons, Dan D. Dunnahoe of Clovis, N.M. and Duane C. Dunnahoe of New Iberia, La.; daughters, Durenda Trimble of Palestine and Dee Dee Young of Longview; brother, W.D. Dunnahoe of Houston; sisters, Lorraine Wright of Longview and Fay Oxford of Tyler; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers are Donnie Oxford, Jarrett Watkins, Lance Dunnahoe, Cody Dunnahoe, John Edward Dunnahoe and Taylor Dunnahoe.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

William H. “Dub” Gatlin
Services for William H. “Dub” Gatlin, 69, of the Berryville community, were held Thursday morning at Hilltop Baptist Church in Berryville. Burial followed at Garden Oaks Memorial Park in Berryville. Arrangements were under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home, Frankston.
Mr. Gatlin died Monday.
He was born Oct. 29, 1933 in Palestine.
Mr. Gatlin is survived by his wife, Joanne Farrow Gatlin; children, Sharon Chinnis, Bruce Gatlin, Vickie Hartman and Diane Harvick; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Corinne Sheffield
Funeral arrangements for Corinne Sheffield, 95, of Palestine, are pending at McCoy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sheffield died Friday at her residence.
Milton Dudley Stewart Jr.
Services for Milton Dudley Stewart Jr., 72, of Nacogdoches, and formerly of Palestine, were held Saturday at Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches with the Rev. Reginald Milburn officiating. Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors of Nacogdoches handled arrangements.
He died Dec. 31 in Nacogdoches after a brief illness.
Mr. Stewart was born May 12, 1930 in Palestine to Milton Dudley Stewart Sr. and Alice Hazel Eilenberger Stewart.
He graduated from Palestine High School and served in the Texas National Guard from 1947-49. He worked as a station manager for Texas Airways in Tyler, Houston and Lufkin.
Mr. Stewart was a senior control tower operator in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from 1951-55.
He earned his BA and MA degrees from Texas A&M University and his Ph.D from the University of Texas in Austin.
Mr. Stewart was a economics lecturer with the University of Maryland in Tokyo, Japan from 1962-63 and in Heidelburg, Germany from 1963-67.
He was a professor in the Economics and Finance Department in the School of Business at Stephen F. Austin for 30 years, retiring in 1997 as an associate professor.
In 1974 he served as a international economic consultant with the United States Commerce Department, Washington D.C. He was a member of the American Association of University Professors, the American Economic Association, the East Texas Estate Planning Council, the Southwestern Society of Economists, the Texas Association of College Teachers, for which he served on the State Executive Board from 1973-75; the World Future Society, and Omicron Delta Epsilon.
He was editor of the SFA Business Review (1976-78). He was included in the 17th edition of “Who’s Who in the South and Southwest.”
Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife, Jaye Jean Taylor Stewart of Nacogdoches; daughters, Lisa Elaine Stewart Otey of Fort Pope, N.C., Jan Elizabeth Colwell Dockendorf of Pacific Palisades, Calif.; son, John Taylor Colwell of Oak Ridge North; brother, George Rowland of Hutto; sister, Betty Carole Stewart of Austin and Palestine; and five grandchildren.
