Clara Mae Lister
Services for Clara Mae Lister, 88, of Buffalo, were at 10 a.m. today at Stewart United Methodist Church of Buffalo with the Rev. Don White officiating. Burial followed in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Buffalo.
Mrs. Lister died Friday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 14, 1914 in Yoakum to Brown Bowen Daugherty and Roxana Beatrice Simpson Daugherty.
Mrs. Lister was a clerk for DuPont. She was a Methodist.
She is survived by nieces, Ellouine Studler of Amarillo and Kay Toole of Buffalo.
Pallbearers were great nephews.
Aoma Montgomery
Services for Aoma Montgomery, 85, of Crockett, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Calvary Baptist Church in Crockett with the Revs. Lynn Stephen and Kenneth Carter officiating. Burial will be in Parker Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Grapeland.
Mrs. Montgomery died Saturday at the Crockett Care Center.
She was born April 1, 1917 in Houston County to Burles Henry Brown and Allie Nora Smith Brown.
Mrs. Montgomery was a Methodist and a homemaker.
She is survived by daughters, Glenda Burrett of Crockett and Brenda Parker of Houston; son, Jerrell Montgomery of Pearland; sisters, Aileen Huff of Grapeland, June Musick of Arlington and Jean Starkey of Garland; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wymon Brown, Darryl Brown, Clyde McKinney, Billy McKinney, Jerry Brown, Don Starkey, Justin Parker and Bob Rounsvall.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Lackey, Chris Wilkerson, Jason Jones, David Shaver, Mark Huff and Gary Brown.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Delbert Green Armstrong Jr.
Services for Delbert Green Armstrong Jr., 21, of Butler, and formerly of Fairfield, were at 10 a.m. today at Capps Memorial Funeral Home. Burial followed in Mount Zion Cemetery in Fairfield.
Mr. Armstrong died Wednesday in Tyler.
He was born Aug. 29, 1981 in Fairfield to Delbert Armstrong Sr. and Judy Armstrong.
Mr. Armstrong was a sandblaster and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Rocky Armstrong.
Mr. Armstrong is survived by a son, William G. Armstrong of Butler; his parents of Butler; sisters, Barbara Marfell and Chris Ludwick, both of Fairfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Blake Vandergriffe, Bob Allison, Tom Allison, Steve Allison, Roy Boatwright and Jeff Massey.
Donald Spencer Hurley
Funeral arrangements for Donald Spencer Hurley, 66, of Palestine are pending at Emanuel Funeral Home.
Mr. Hurley died Sunday in Palestine.
Joe Billie Bridges
Services for Joe Billie Bridges, 67, of Grapeland were at 10 a.m. today at Grapeland Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Hall officiating. Burial followed in Parker Cemetery in Houston County under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Grapeland.
Mr. Bridges died Saturday in the East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.
He was born July 30, 1935 in Houston County to Clarence Bridges and Abbie Lee James Bridges.
Mr. Bridges was a member of the Grapeland Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy for 23 years. He worked as a registered nurse at the Grapeland Nursing Home until his retirement.
Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Winnie Bridges of Grapeland; his mother, Abbie Lee Bridges of Grapeland; daughter, Selena Cryer of Grapeland; son, William Bridges of Moline, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Steve Duvall, Jim Wallace, Gene Kellum, Tracy Salmon, Jake Lively and Ed Kimbell.
Jim B. Oden
Services for Jim B. Oden, 80, of Neches will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Neches City Cemetery with Russell Oden officiating. military honors will be accorded by Barksdale Air Force Base. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Oden died Wednesday at his residence.
He was born Feb. 4, 1923, in Anderson County to Andrew and Lilla Marlow Oden.
Mr. Oden retired from the U.S. Air Force where he served more than 26 years, during World War II, the Korean Conflict, and Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ruth and Velma; and brothers, Els, L.T., Gilbert, Doyle and Coyle.
Mr. Oden is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Oden of Neches; daughters, Pamala Szymanski of Depew, N.Y., Sharon Walterich of Albemarle, N.C., Patricia Lamar of Neches and Jerry Andrews of Colorado Springs, Colo., 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Grogan, David Lamar, John Lamar, Peter Szymanski, Patrick Walterich and Charles Werts.

Eloise Taylor Gerdock
Services for Eloise Taylor Gerdock were held recently in Fort Worth.
Mrs. Gerdock died in January from strokes and congestive heart failure.
She was born in Palestine to Mr. and Mrs. John B. Taylor.
Mrs. Gerdock was reared in Palestine and graduated from Palestine High School in 1941. During her childhood, Grace United Methodist Church was her church home.
She was married to Lt. Col. Andrew B. Gerdock, U.S.A.F.
Mrs. Gerdock is survived by daughter, Laura Kay Gerdock of DeSoto; sister, Myrna L. Taylor of Palestine; and niece, Rebecca Howard of Palestine.
Arnold Greg Pate
Services for Arnold Greg Pate, 61, of Buffalo, will be at 1 p.m. today at Flo Community Church in Flo. Interment will follow at Parker Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Buffalo.
Glenda Kay Roberts
Services for Glenda Kay Roberts, 57, of Tennessee Colony will be at 1 p.m. today at Rock Church Cemetery with Rev. Darren Beagley officiating.

Mrs. Roberts died Friday at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.

Mrs. Carruth died Friday in Houston.
Roger A. Butler
Services for Roger A. Butler of Palestine were at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Jay Abernathy and Donald Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Land of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory.
Mr. Butler died early Saturday morning at his Palestine residence.
He was born Aug. 22, 1924, in Beeville to Leon and Minnie Jones Butler.
Mr. Butler was reared in Ohio and moved to Palestine in 1985, coming from Abilene. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Palestine. He served as a pastor for more than 50 years in the Abilene area, Cleburne and in Tennessee Colony.
He was a past member of the Lions Club and the Kiwanis Club. He attended the University of Cincinatti and graduated from Baylor University and the Southwestern Seminary.
Mr. Butler is survived by his wife of 54 years, Doris Butler of Palestine; sons, David Butler of Alvarado and Don Butler of Palestine; and sisters, Willa Kraemer of Odessa and Dottie Monroe of Cincinatti.
Pallbearers were Tim Brazzel, Fred Walker, Tony Sharp, Olan Campbell, Jim Richie and Ronnie Ingram.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Joseph Class at First Baptist Church.
If desired, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
W.O. “Bill” Collins
Services for W.O. “Bill” Collins, 89, of Crockett, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Central Baptist Church in Crockett with the Rev. John Goss officiating. Burial will follow in Guiceland Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Grapeland.
Mr. Collins died Sunday afternoon at Grapeland Nursing Home.
He was born July 12, 1912, in Houston County to John Collins and Litha Belle Briley Collins.
Mr. Collins was an operator for Superior Oil Company for many years. He was deacon at Central Baptist Church in Crockett.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marvie Lee “Dimple” Collins; sisters, Amblus Garrard, Ira Clewis and Fannie Lou Caskey; brothers, Harvey Collins, Roy Collins and J.C. Collins.
Mr. Collins is survived by special friend, Erma Bridges of Palestine; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Welburn Collins, Bruce Collins, Leroy Garrard, Terry Cobb, Don Newman and Todd George.

Barbara Jean Eisworth
Services for Barbara Jean Eisworth, 69, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Zacharias Kunnakkattuthara officiating.
Mrs. Eisworth was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Donald J. Eisworth of Palestine; daughters, Verna Jean Nall, Denise Gilliam and Jennifer Wallace, all of Palestine, and Nancy Lynn Smith of Houston; son, Benny Mitchell of Palestine; sister, Nita Joyce Bunnell of Houston; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
ElRoy “Roy” Knollenberg
Services with ElRoy H. Knollenberg, 86, of Palestine, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Tom Grissom officiating. Burial followed in Roselawn Park.
Mr. Knollenberg died Friday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 11, 1915 in Tulsa, Okla. to Milton H. and Lottie Jane Adams Knollenberg.
Mr. Knollenberg was employed by Sun Oil Co. for 37 years. He was a consultant for Flint Engineering for nine years. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and president of a Men’s Bible Class, member of the administration board and past president of the Methodist Men. He held numerous other offices with the church and its various groups.
Mr. Knollenberg was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II who was a German Prisoner of War.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Knollenberg and Raymond Knollenberg.
Mr. Knollenberg is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Emma Knollenberg of Palestine; son, Jon Knollenberg of Wayzata, Minn; daughter, Dana Knollenberg of Allen; sisters, Dorothy Reim of Purcell, Okla. and Donna Ross of Houston; brother, Bill Knollenberg of Spring; and one grandson.
Pallbearers were Donny Douglas, W.L. Green, John Hafner, Gene Skeen, Don Denson and Randy Randall.
Honorary pallbearers were Clarence Bice, Doug Parsons, J.B. Hicks, Jerry Palmer, Adolph Shaver, Wallace Southerland, Gene Davenport and John Copeland.
Dee Calvin Price
Services for Dee Calvin Price, 103, of Palestine will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Union Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. R.C. Emanuel officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hope Cemetery under the direction of Emanuel Funeral Home.
Mr. Price died Wednesday at Palestine Healthcare Center.
He was born on Dec. 18, 1898 in Anderson County to Eddie and Georgia Austin Price.
Mr. Price was a member of St. James Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linnie Clewis Price; son, H.L. Price; and siblings, Oscar, Edward, Perry, Alberta and Clarence Price, and Forrest Jones.
Mr. Price is survived by sons, Chestell Price of Palestine and Elbert Price of Harvey, La.; daughter, Hazel Lacy; 10 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Velma Jones
Services for Velma Jones, 91, of Plano will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home of Buffalo with Craig Graham officiating. Burial will follow at the Buffalo City Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones died Wednesday.
She was born Oct. 19,1910 in Centerville.
Mrs. Jones was a retired school teacher from Plainview ISD. She resided in Leon County for 67 years. She was a Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Jones.
Mrs. Jones is survived by sons, Philip Jones and Alan Jones, both of Plano; and sister, Ruth Wilkinson.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
