David M. Voisin
Services for David Voisin, 44, of Athens, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens with the Rev. Richard Palmer officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carrol Lehr Funeral Home.
Mr. Voisin died July 1 at his home.
He was born April 4, 1958 in Palestine to Jack Finis and Clara Mae Bain Voisin.
Mr. Voisin lived in Athens most his life. He was a member of Eastern Hills Church of Christ in Athens.
He is survived by his brother, Jack Voisin of Athens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Andrews Center, or to M.H.M.R. at P.O. Box 72, Athens, Texas 75751.
Dorris Needham Barr
Services for Dorris Needham Barr, 76, of Nacogdoches, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with the Revs. Jerry Wilson and M.A. Ervin officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches.
Mrs. Barr died Friday in Nacogdoches.
She was born May 18, 1926 in Miami, Fla. to Thomas and Clyde Pearl Furman Anderson.
Mrs. Barr retired from Schmidt’s after many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Ray Needham.
Mrs. Barr is survived by her husband, Charlie Barr Sr. of Nacogdoches; son, James Ray Needham Jr. of McKinney; daughters, Charleye Beaman of The Woodlands and Ruth Sussdorf of Palestine; stepsons, Charlie P. Barr Jr. of Denver, Colo. and Bill Barr of Nacogdoches; stepdaughter, Candice Lynn Barr of Nacogdoches; brothers, Othelle Anderson of Killeen; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Buddy Waters
Funeral arrangements for Buddy Waters, 95, are pending at McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Waters died Friday night at Stoney Brook Nursing Home in Houston.
Lorena Brumley Evans
Services for Lorena Jeffcoat Brumley Evans, 83, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mike Midkiff and Larry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in New Addition Cemetery.
Mrs. Evans died Friday morning in Wood Memorial Nursing Home in Mineola after a lengthy illness.
She was born on July 18, 1918, in Atoka, Okla., to James L. and Della Gage Kimbrough. She is the last of the J.L. Kimbrough family, having been preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Norvel, Bruce, Roy and Bud Kimbrough; and sisters, Reta Hester and Grace Jackson.
She also was preceded in death by husbands, Carlton Jeffcoat, Herman Brumley and Miles Evans; grandson, Rodney Johnson; and great-grandsons, Alexander Midkiff and John Mark Brandon.
Mrs. Evans, a longtime resident of Palestine, moved to Holly Lake Ranch five years ago.
She worked at Farris’, Bealls, Franklin’s, Marie’s Slipper Shop and L&L Shoe Store. She was a member of North Jackson Baptist Church and joined Holly Brook Baptist Church when she moved to Holly Lake. She also was a homemaker and mother.
Mrs. Evans is survived by daughters, LaDeanne Smith of Palestine, Joan Midkiff of Holly Lake Ranch, Reta Swanson of Orchard, Lynn Ludlam of Houston, Beth Freeman and Lynda Allen, both of the Harmony community; sons, Allen Brumley, Joel Brumley and Buddy Brumley, all of Harmony, and Aledo and Bob Ammons of Hideaway Lake; 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Milton Howard, Matt Hansen, Rocky Foster, Mark Mirsky, John Oberhousen and Ralph Hendrick.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Helen Kay Walker

W.A. Huntsberger
Services for W.A. Huntsberger, 63, of Fort Worth, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at BaumGardner Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Worth. Burial will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Huntsberger was born July 30, 1938 in Anderson County. He worked for House of Frames/Starcrest Moulding for 27 years. He was the owner of Crowley Artworks. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his father H.H. “Kay” Huntsberger and his mother, Bessie Evans Huntsberger.
Mr. Huntsberger is survived by his wife, Mary Huntsberger of Fort Worth; sons, W.A. Huntsberger of Forth Worth and Howard K. Huntsberger of Benbrook; sister, Marie Jones of Palestine; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m.
Wanda Lea Cockrell
Services for Wanda Lea Cockrell, 73, of Oakwood, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Church of Christ with Jamie Duplichan and David Braun officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood City Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Cockrell died Friday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 18, 1928 in Raymondville, Mo. to Luther E. Diedrich and Mary Brackett Diedrich.
Mrs. Cockrell was a longtime resident of St. Louis before moving to Oakwood in 1995. She was a member of Church of Christ in Oakwood.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Opal Diedrich, Avis McKinney, Alzada Scott and Deela Lanham.
Mrs. Cockrell is survived by a daughter, Sherry Lea Bunch of Oakwood; sisters, Faith Norton and Doris Cooper, both of St. Louis; and a brother, Wayne Diedrich of Licking, Mo.

Services for M.G. Lupita Rodriguez, 90, of Kingsville, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Kingsville. Burial will be in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery under the direction of Turcotte Mortuary in Kingsville.
A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the mortuary.
Mrs. Rodriguez died Monday at a Corpus Christi hospital after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jose C. Rodriguez; a son, Jose C. Rodriguez Jr.; and a daughter, Lucy R. Chapa.
Mrs. Rodriguez is survived locally by a son, C.X. Rodriguez of Palestine; and daughter, Dora A. Quintanilla of Palestine.
Tim D. Killion
Services for Tim D. Killion, 45, of Plano, and formerly of Slocum, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Tinkle and the Rev. Howard Huhn officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford Cemetery.
Mr. Killion died Saturday afternoon in Corpus Christi.
He was born Feb. 24, 1957 in Palestine to Clyne “Buck” Killion and Willene Day Killion.
Mr. Killion was the National Merchandise Manager for Frito-Lay. He was a Methodist and a member of the Slocum Union Church.
Mr. Killion was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother, Willene Day Killion of Slocum; and a sister, Jeanell Jones of Slocum.
Pallbearers will be Guy Nichols, Ray Switzer, Robert Perdue, Dr. Pat Day, David Killion, Smokey Killion, Mike Walling and Brad Camp.
Honorary pallbearers will be his co-workers at Frito-Lay.

Bill Stallings
Services for Bill Stallings, 74, formerly of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Episcopal Church in Matagorda with the Rev. Harley Savage officiating. Interment will follow at Matagorda Cemetery under the direction of Taylor Bros. Funeral Home of Bay City.
Mr. Stallings died Sunday at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton.
He was born March 1, 1928, in Old Gulf to Marvin M. and Margaret Adeline Miller Stallings.
Mr. Stallings, a resident of Matagorda for the past three years, was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Matagorda. Prior to moving to Matagorda, he was a longtime resident of Palestine.
He was preceded in death by brothers, George Stallings, John Stallings, Jeff Stallings, Murray Stallings, Pete Stallings and Earl Stallings.
Mr. Stalling is survived by his wife, Dolly Smith Stallings of Matagorda; daughters, Frances Stallings of Houston and Celia Oden of Angleton; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Oden, Braden Linder, Dale W. Smith, Daniel A. Smith, Charles Allison and David Long.
Lillian N. DelRossi
Services for Lillian N. DelRossi, 76, of Valdosta, Ga., will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home in Valdosta with the Rev. Benny Wood officiating. Burial will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. DelRossi died Sunday at her residence.
She was born May 16, 1926, in Tift County to Leonard T. and Maggie Lee Parkerson Thomas.
Mrs. DelRossi is survived locally by son, Douglas A. DelRossi of Palestine.
Alvin Schmidt
Services for Alvin Schmidt, 89, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at New Addition Annex Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Dornbush officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Schmidt died Monday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 13, 1912 in Palestine to George and Mattie Sue McDonald Schmidt.
Mr. Schmidt was employed as the Texas State Department Fire Marshall. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the DAV Post No. 63. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Schmidt was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Dora Schmidt of Palestine; daughters, Amy Schmidt of Dallas and Suzanne Madden of Palestine; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be member of the Palestine Fire Department.
Condolence calls will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Jean K. Johnson
Services for Jean K. Johnson, 58, of Palestine, will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Rev. Scott Dornbush officiating. Memorial services will be held at a later date at Fairview Memorial Park in Fairmont, Minn.
Mrs. Johnson died Wednesday night at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 2, 1944 in Fairmont, Minn. to Lloyd and Tina Vogt Bixby.
Mrs. Johnson was a teacher’s aide and was employed at Story School.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her father; and a sister, Lois Cox.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew H. Johnson of Palestine; her mother, Tina Bixby of Fairmont, Minn.; and daughter, Andrea N. Johnson of Palestine.

Alice Couch
Services for Alice Couch, 79, of Hubbard, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wade Funeral Home Chapel in Hubbard with the Rev. James Hooper officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard.
Mrs. Couch died Thursday at a Mexia hospital.
She was born Aug. 14, 1923 in Parker.
Mrs. Couch was a member of Friendly Baptist Church in Arlington. She was a hospital aide and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Couch, in 1984; a son, Charles Couch, in 1995; an infant daughter, Geneva Fay Couch; and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Couch is survived by sons, Gene Couch and James M. “BuBo” Couch, both of Hubbard; daughters, Wanda Howerton, Joyce Neumann and Mitzi Spearman, all of Hubbard, Sharon Berger of Mart, Doris Shubert of Knoxville, Tenn., Brenda Hastings of Kennedale, and Sondra Dyer of Tennessee Colony; brothers, Ray Lenox of Hillsboro, George Lenox of Ennis and Douglas Lenox of Dawson; 32 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
